Fun fact: when Bruce Willis was filming the scene where he’s telling Grace he won’t be coming home, he was actually talking to a photo of his own daughter. So that emotion is very real in that scene 🙂
Awwwww!!! 🥹
@@TaraTunesIn Speaking of fathers and daughters. Aerosmith's front man Steve Tyler is father to Liv Tyler who portrays Grace.
I believe these sisters should team up more often... You play off each other so easily it's cool to watch
Cassie from Popcorn in Bed sometimes watches movies with her sister Carly.
They should watch Thelma and Louise together.
I think they are more relaxed playing off each other as I have seen in other teamups, two is ideal
I would agree 👍
Definitely agree
Ben Affleck asked Michael Bay "Wouldn't it make more sense to teach astronauts how to drill than teach oil drillers to be astronauts?", and Bay basically just told him to shut up.
That team comes together rmontage was HILAIOUS. I can't stop laughing.
This movie is far from real, but so entertaining.
I realized I’d gotten older from the last time I saw this movie when my attraction moved from Ben Affleck to Bruce Willis lol.
😂😂 omg right?! I was thinking the same thing!!!
"Requesting permission to shake the hand of th..." sniff sniff... I can't, aw that was so good.
😂😭
"I don't know how those thoughts don't just explode." sometimes they do. I watched the Challenger go boom live on TV in elementary school.
Charlton Heston doing the voiceover in the beginning. His biggest films are The Ten Commandments and Ben Hur, both epic movies of their time.
Yeah, but the one people remember him for is Planet of the Apes....
He also played a lone survivor or a vampire apocalypse in Omega Man
The Omega Man (1971) is based upon the 1954 novel 'I Am Legend' by Richard Matheson.
The Omega Man is the second adaptation of Matheson's novel. The first was The Last Man on Earth (1964), which starred Vincent Price. A third adaptation, 'I Am Legend',starring Will Smith, was released in 2007
I know it doesn’t get great reviews but this movie is one of my top 10 and always will be. Tears every time 😂
look at the movies now and look at Armageddon (1998).
aside from exaggeration and the science part (as for ALL movies), it has everything else achieved and achieved in 1998 :-
story, script, character development, seriousness, very fun, jokes lines that are funny, jokes delivered well, very engaging, suspense, music, actor actress tip top performance, emotions, relationships, the props and sets and visuals are really good for 1998.
I was never disengaged or bored in 2.5 hrs, the sequence of events & decisions made are all natural, logical and realistic mostly, aside from intentional comedic moments.
The camera shots and editing is so well done.
and can you imagine that Michael Bay said this was his "worst" movie to date (as at 1998) because he was given only 4 months for shooting and he was not satisfied.
I did not know you 2 were sisters! I watch both of you and had no idea! How awesome!! Love it!
Just watched Deep Impact with you, so headed over here for Armageddon. I think I remember liking Deep Impact better, but also enjoying this one too. Looking forward to watching it with you again.
If you want to continue this comparison trend, watching the 1997 movies Volcano and then Dante's Peak back to back would be awesome too! Similar break down - one (Volcano) more of an action movie, one more of a drama (Dante's Peak)
Here we go!
Ooooh good idea!!!!
@@TaraTunesIn do it
I've seen this movie a hundred times. It's one of my favorites. The two of you together, are more entertaining than the movie!
Hopped over from Jen's channel to watch and loved the chemistry you two have. Look forward to more of these collaborations in future.
TY for a great reaction Tara and Jen 🌹🌹
Thanks so much I’m so happy you enjoyed it!! We had such a good time doing it! Definitely cooking up something for the future :)
I just watched this reaction again after about a year and I had forgotten how fun the two of you together are to watch!
"The asteroid was a dick "🤣 🤣 🤣
Loll it so was!
I watched "Deep Impact" with you and Jen, then came here to watch this. Fun day!
I had so much fun too!! Thanks for coming to both!! :)
That early scene with the meteors hitting the city is even worse than I remember. Rocks that size would be like tactical nukes in their level of destruction, not mere conventional explosives.
My favorite line: "American components, Russian components, all made in Taiwan." This is worth the rewatch alone.
Yep, in conclusion, even more ridiculous than I remember. Good ending though. Can't argue that.
I loved that line too!! Hilarious and so true lol
The correct vernacular is meteor for small space rocks and dust that burn up in the atmosphere.
Meteorites are large enough to survive the atmosphere and strike the surface
I said this on Jen's channel to the deep impact video and I'll say it here too, I'm really loving the joint reactions you do together and you should definitely do more of these. You two have a lovely bond and it's really nice to see!
If you like reading science fiction books, I definitely recommend going back and reading the granddaddy of this kind of story (both Armageddon and Deep Impact), a collaboration by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle called "Lucifer's Hammer", published way back in 1977.
Excellent book. There's also "Earth Abides" though it's not a disaster scenario.
That is indeed a great book.
For the lightning!
OMG! I remember reading that when I was younger...a great read. Hadn't thought about it in years😂
@andyleclerc3600 If you liked that one, also try "Footfall" from the same authors, a great alien invasion novel with a similarly expansive cast of characters.
Also, from Niven and Steven Barnes try "Dream Park".
You two DEFINITELY need to React together more often! You're definitely sisters, LOL...
16:20 The perfect plance for a "Damn it, there's no time!"
Haha you’re so right!
I came over from Jen's channel and really enjoyed watching the two of you react to movies together! Reminded me of watching shows with my brother. :)
Hey everyone! Jen and I recorded this video a couple of months ago, and I have done reactions since to both The Green Mile AND Star Wars! Check those reactions out here:
The Green Mile: ruclips.net/video/-ywhdbApaPM/видео.html
Star Wars: ruclips.net/p/PLhoMHOdeZk7UQHeP3M-ZrudrYfa_DnLMh
I had no idea Jen Murray was your sister!
The music in this movie is by Aerosmith, Liv Tylers dad Steven Tyler.
Jen asked where she knew the shuttle commander from. The actor's name is William Finchner, a famous character actor that many people recognize from the HBO series Entourage, and movies like The Perfect Storm with George Clooney, Heat with Robert DeNiro, Contact with Jodie Foster, and Go with Jay Mohr and Scott Wolf. He also starred in a couple of TV shows. Invasion, and Grace Under Fire.
Princess Leia Organa: [Leia sees Malla on the video feed channel] Malla, it's so good to see you - Happy Life Day!
Malla: RRURGHRUGRURGHHHH!
Princess Leia Organa: This holiday is yours, where we all share with you the hope that this day brings us closer to freedom and to harmony and to peace. No matter how different we appear, we're all the same in our struggle against the powers of evil and darkness. I hope that this day will always be a day of joy, in which we can reconfirm our dedication and our courage. And more than anything else, our love for one another. This is the promise of the Tree of Life.🤣😅😄😂😆

Great rundown of some highlights from William Fichtner's filmography.
More recently he has appeared on the sitcom Mom.
Great reaction. I like the collaboration with you and your sister. Definitely do more reaction with her.
Thanks! So glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully we will do another one together soon!
Just saw your joint Deep Impact reaction. Definitely do more reactions together. You are both great!
Awesome thanks! I’m so glad you enjoyed them both!! Definitely hoping to do more reactions together in the future!
One of my all time favorite movies. The first one to make me get watery eyed. The moment he presses the button and his life flashes before his eyes and its all his daughter. My heart!
I love you two,you did so well together, please do more collaborations,I love the back and forth comments.
It was super fun, Ive followed Jen for a while, now I can give your stuff a go. You girls have a nice kind gentle spirit about you and it makes for a fun watch
Aw thank you, that’s such a nice comment!! I g try bank you for checking out the rest of my videos! I hope you enjoy them!!
Fun Fact: Greuber, the guy who tells Rockhound that the other shuttle is gone, once starred on a soap Opera that ended in 1998 called Another World. He was the younger brother of the show's main Lawyer.
Lol nice!
@patrickcromwell7554 he was on AW for 50 episodes. He joined As The World Turns in 2003 and appeared in over 600 episodes. William Fichtner, who played Colonel Willie Sharp, also spent several years on ATWT.
Both these movies are awesome, it's great to see you guys do reviews together
Hey Tara. Great reaction video. You and your sister should team up more often. I watch videos from both channels and you both are just awesome
Just watched both reactions. LOVED THEM!! Subbing to both channels (yours first since I have to go BACK to get Jen's). Looking forward to more collaborations as well as your solo reactions.
Yay! Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you enjoyed them! We had so much fun! Definitely hoping to do more in the future!
Thank you for subscribing! :)
Love this movie, thank you ladies for reacting to this movie. I think you and Jen should definitely do this again. I am so glad that I'm a subscriber to both your channel and Jen's channel.
Thanks so much for watching and for the feedback!! We’ll be doing another collab together in October!!
Nominated for Best Visual Effects but lost to What Dreams May Come.
I remember watching this on VHS and it's not scientifically accurate but it's quite entertaining!
The opening scene was narrated by Oscar Winning Actor Charlton Heston.
Love this Collaboration ❤️
You girls make a great team and a hilarious duo!!! Thank you!!!
so much fun with both of you reacting. hopefully you can do this again soon
Terrific film and reaction to introduce me to your channel. _That was fun!_ 😎👍
Thanks!
Awesome! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Good job Tara and Jen Love both movies
Loved watching this with the both of you. Now heading over to see Deep Impact.
Yessss!!!!!! So happy to see you here!! Thank you for watching our videos! ♥️♥️♥️
OMG. I'm subscribed to both channels and had no i dea you were sisters until these videos!!!! I guess quality channel content runs in the family!
Aw thanks Michael! That’s such a nice compliment! So glad you’re enjoying both of our channels!! Thank you for being here! :)
That actor that you were asking about and who plays the colonel is William Fichtner he was in Contact with Jodie Foster as a blind scientist, he was in The Perfect Storm, Black Hawk Down and a many other films like Heat and The Longest Yard.
Great reaction ladies! I'd love to see more sis reactions! Also, this movie is so notorious for the "everything goes wrong" trope, that even after all these years, I'm still expecting the shuttle to have a malfunction and crash at the very end! Lol
Love your joint movie reaction and review. I agree with those saying you should do this more often. I also love your separate reviews and reaction RUclips channels.
Thanks so much I’m so glad you’re enjoying our channels! We are definitely hoping to do more of these together in the future!
Very cool. I’ve been a subscriber of your sister for awhile now. Yesterday was the first time I came across your channel. Subbed!!!
Yesssss! Thank you for the sub! So happy you’re here!
Such a fun duo reaction!
This is cool been subscribed to Jen for months now find you, fabulous. Subscribed, liked, commented.
Thanks so much for the sub, like and comment!! I’m so happy to have you along!! :)
Great reaction as always 🚀
Excellent reaction girls that was even more fun with two of you. Amazing you made the movie much more fun too and you still feel sad in the parts but how many times do you see it? It’s still sad. Thanks for The fun until next time
Jen and Tara,
Awesome reaction. You need to do some more movies like this - where you watch one and the sequel.
Deep Impact is like a bunch of people in college. Armageddon is like a bunch of people in high school getting drunk.
So true 😂
7:38 "Not like a river prostitute"
Damnit! I did not include "river prostitute" on terms i thought i would hear during this reaction!!! 🤣🤣🤣
#classicjennytwostacks!!!
The songs played during the romantic moment with Ben Afleck and Liv Tyler and wedding/end credits was sung by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Liv's father.
"Seems crazy that those things don't just explode" - that's literally exactly what they're doing, but only in one direction.
Omg you’re so right!!
I had no idea you two were sisters. I have watched Jen for a long time and love her reactions. I found you and then saw this one. Was nice seeing a collaboration.
Aw so glad you’re enjoying both the channels!! Jen and I have done 3 other collaborations together: Beetlejuice and Deep Impact on her channel, and a Quiet Place on mine! Definitely check them out! :)
I didn’t know you were Jens sister! Too funny. I liked your Airplane reaction too. Subscribed and liked.
Yay thanks!!! Happy to have you here!!
More joint reactions are great, already watch Jen's channel.
Here for the second half (or first half I guess) of the double-feature. Great movies, great reactions. Subscribed to both of you now. 👍
I’m so glad you enjoyed the double feature!!!Thank you so much for subscribing :)
Great sister collab, hope to see more in the future.
Great reactions for Armageddon, Tara & Jen!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽This was always an enjoyable movie for me. It has definitely got a lot of airplay on TV over the years. I hope you two do another set of movies together again. Maybe a couple of scary ones? Halloween IS coming soon.🙂
Oooooooh I bet we would feed if of each other’s fear
That’s not a bad idea :)
Love your Sibling reaction x
DUDE I’ve seen this movie so many times and this must be like the extended edition because there are several scenes that I have never seen before including Billy Bob Thornton saying that he would love to have that patch from the mission. Which makes sense that when Bruce Willis sacrifices himself he says to give the patch to Billy Bob Thornton. But in the hundred times that I’ve seen that movie it never had that line of dialogue so it never made any sense why he was giving him a patch.
Ahhh I’m so glad you came by for this reaction! That vital piece of the film has been missing from your life far too long!
I can’t imagine why they would take that conversation out if the film but leave the patch in haha that’s just confusing!!
Hey Tara, I am a new follower. 😊 i just wanna say great reaction and also: so many people drop hate at this movie but I love it. I grew up with it and that is why I love with all my heart. Yes, maybe it is not the greatest movie of all time but it has heart and a soul and so many of the modern movies lack that big time.
Hey there! I’m with you! This movie was fun to watch :) I’m so glad you enjoyed the reaction!
here after watching u and ur sister reacting to Deep Impact, subbed now dear 😊
Thank you so much for watching and for the sub!!! :)
Trivia: Ben asked Michael Bay, “wouldn’t it be easier to train astronauts to drill?” “Shut the fuck up,” Mr Bay 😅
😂
Near-Earth asteroids are kept track of, however most are only discovered when they are near Earth. It's quite ironic how both movies deal with the difference in discovery time before impact.
Realistically in either case though, there would be very little we could do to deflect it. The most feasible option in an _E.L.E._ would be to have the most time possible to establish a long-term Lunar colony, with the means to return later if cataclysmic conditions improve.
THAT should be the next asteroid movie!!!
Great Reaction Ladies To This Great Movie
sub to you both, been looking forward to this.
Thanks so much!!
Love this movie. Steve Bushimi is my favorite part of this movie though lol
OMG ive seen this a million times, like Titanic, but it gets me every time [ the funny pts and the sad pts ]
An asteroid of that size made of iron would punch deep into the earth’s crust, evaporating oceans and liquifying the crust almost instantly.
This is a movie that I really enjoy and have seen many times. You guys did a great job together very cool reactions and commentary. Hope y'all can colab again sometime.
Thanks! We had a lot of fun doing this together! We have another collab coming up in October!
Just subbed to your channel love the reaction to Armageddon hope you and your sister do more reactions together you ladies play off each other so good be safe and I’ll be tuning in to see more of your and your sister reaction live long and prosper 🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖
Wow thanks so much for the sub! I’m so glad you enjoyed the reaction :)
Great reaction for a great movie!!!
Their both adorable.
Saw it in theater!! Was grandiose!! Cried my eyes out at some points!!
20:00 The guy that is singing that song is a real life father of the actress that's in this scene.
Lol yes it is :)
It's a great movie and you guys are awesome together you guys should do more of these together
11:59 Jen. 😂
36:13 Tara: "Wait 1,2,3,4..." 😆
I've been subscribed to both of your channels for quite some time and it's cool to see you team up!
😂 we had so much fun doing this together! Thank you so much for being part of it!!
I would like to see you two pair up more often. Your back and forth is quite enjoyable to watch.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! We had so much fun! Definitely hoping to do more in the future!
Both of you make watching this so fantastic 👍👍👏👏
Yaayyy thanks!!
Wait, they're sisters?
Yep!
At 16:16 Jen asked who do I know this guy from? Possibly from Contact. He played Jodie Foster's blind colleague.
Great reaction to an awesome movie
Ah! The sister! Hello! And yes, yes we would like to see more of yall :D
Hello!! Hopefully we will do more soon!! :) thank you for the feedback!!
Idk if this was planned like this but if so it was genius. To have the more popular movie on the lesser known channel brings way more viewers over to Tara's channel than it would've if the movies were switched and Deep Impact was on this channel. Smart girls.
Ben Affleck did a commentary track for this movie while drunk and said he asked Michael Bay “wouldn’t it be easier to teach astronauts how to drill than teaching drillers to be astronauts?” and Bay said “just shut the fuck up Ben” 😂
My reaction when I saw Liv Tyler in this was "THAT's Steve Tyler's kid? How is that possible?"
Lol her mother was quite beautiful I suspect
It’s dum fun with a good character development
I usually like single reactors (two reactors tend to distract each other), but you and your sister are very good together. It would be great to see her again in your reactions!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the joint reaction!! I am hoping to do more together every once in a while!! We will have a Halloween one coming up!
I love the Honest Trailer for this movie! 🤣
I went to the show and watched it when it first came out in Cartersville Georgia
I love how New York is completely forgotten about straight away as soon as we go to the oil rig
Can they survive the trip.
Heck. I don't know ho wthey even survived the test.
What awesome lines.
Did yous notice that the song playing at the end over the wedding and credits was sung by Liv's father Steven?
I remember back before this came out, the cinema staff had set up a timer to go with the movie poster, so instead of "Coming Soon" it was "Countdown to Armageddon".
That’s AWESOME
This one's been a favorite of mine ever since I saw it in the theaters back in the day. So many ups and downs in it, funny one minute and tragic or touching the next. So many people in the theater who were laughing or cheering only minutes earlier were crying at the climax of the movie.
I've owned it on VHS, DVD (Criterion Collection, no less), and Blu-Ray. Each time it was one of the first to get added to my collection.
I wouldn't have guessed "Armageddon" had a Criterion edition.
@@Tr0nzoid It's even got the extended director's cut on it, which as far as I know is the only place you can find it.
One of these days they have to do another double feature of rival films, and I throw out the idea of: Vocano vs Dante's Peak, movies about volcanoes that competed the same year of their release in 1997.
OMG! I just discovered you today and didn’t know that Jen was your sister. I’ve watched a lot of her reactions. Nice sister act. By the way, you should react to Sister Act and Sister Act 2…with your sister.
Omg haha that’s an awesome idea!!!! Thanks!! :):) so glad you are enjoying both of our channels!!!
