    Abaco Caves and Brian Kakuk have inspired me to go for this too Fangorn Forest is a bucket list dive. I’m doing it a bit more slowly but I’ll get there. Gus and Woody at DiveTalk have inspired me too, especially Woody’s zero to hero course with Brian

    You have a great memory for the first four seasons of BlueWorldTV of you being interest for cave diving and in the season 5 premiere episode of BlueWorldTV with cave instructor Brian Kakuk and Todd recently got cave certified in 1993 and you had a great memory of Wes Skiles and remember him who died in 2010. Also, BlueWorldTV you remembered that Cameraman Todd got cave certified in 1993, cameraman Zach got cave certified and Zach of all trade going to get cave certified.

    Great one! I do scuba diving since 2016. I have 160+ dives, mostly on sidemount. I am amazed by caves. Indeed I did 2 (mines), without certification. Last 2 years I am just thinking to do the training. It is not about the money, it is just having this worry about being a cave diver. My wife would have a heart attack to know that I want to do that. Too dangerous! Friends says the same thing about recreational diving. I still haven't decided.

    • @BlueWorldplus
      @BlueWorldplus  Год назад +1

      I recently had an argument with someone about the "Zero-to-hero" concept and this person was suggesting that it's a bad way to get trained. I think a lot of people assume that there is less training when you do it this way and that might be because of the name. It is simply not the case. The training takes 8-10 days. Most people take a week of vacation, do half the training, and then go home. Then 6-12 months later take another week of vacation and return for the second half. But much of what they do in the second half is try to remember all the skills they forgot. Zero-to-hero just means you take both halves of the training back-to-back. It builds muscle memory better (more repetition) and you finish fully certified--so you can go out and go cave diving and practice your skills. Which is better? Taking half of drivers's Ed and then not being able to drive for 6 months, then taking the other half? Or taking the whole class at once, then taking the driver's test? In my opinion, if you can get two weeks of vacation time, Zero to Hero is by far the better way to get cave certified.

    What would be the reason of lesser marine life in caves?

    • @Yggdrasil42
      @Yggdrasil42 3 года назад

      Very little to no light so no plant life, which means very little food for fauna. Also many caves have little to no current which means 'food' from the outside doesn't reach the cave.
