Hahaha I heard that and had to rewind a bit to make sure I heard it right.
Man he is laughing, but my cortisol levels through these stories sky rocketed "getting stuck with no visibility". This man must have nerves of steel.,
I think he just has confidence in himself and because he never died, he always thinks he will make it, and because of that, it probably help him in those situations. Be calm and think.
He seems to think almost dying is hilarious.

Are you my doppelganger minus the evil side? Lol 😆. Just a couple minor differences. Have never , will never go into the ocean. Have Thalassophobia , absolutely adore sharks! The White 🦈!! All sharks but only want to see one in videos. Can tread water for like 2 seconds lol...not nearly long enough lol. I would be 100% a statistic.. Don't like caves 😳...especially caves with water!!! 😳🥺🤯😵💫.

I can sympathize a lot, have the same phobias more or less. To be honest I don't even understand why anybody wants to dive in caves, but the stories they tell are surely interesting and fascinating. 😊 I get the same feeling while listening to stories about mountain climbing. Binge-watching documentaries about Reinhold Messner or other mountaineers is equally fascinating.
If I can't name anyone else, I can name those two

We got lucky having two of the best Cave Explorers also being excellent story tellers.
One thing that I have noticed about true masters like Mike and Edd is that they are humble, nice, kind people. They don't have anything to prove to anyone.

I know Mike makes it seem like luck, but he is immensely talented and exemplifies survivorship bias. Sorensen is the same. Love hearing them speak!!

These are the kind of people who are the very definition of the phrase built different like how u wake up one dad and go shit i feel like going into a cave full of water and get threw spots so damn tight u have to actually struggle threw its mind blowing

I don't think Mike instructs. Edd does, and he is a very demanding instructor. But I guarantee you will be a good cave diver!!

My two favorite divers in the world are arguably the two best divers in the world some would say but in my book hands down is Mike Young and fellow Oregonian Ed Sorenson.. Anyway I got question for ya .. Have you ever heard of the nutty putty cave incident? Im sure you have,but in case you haven't it's about a guy dry caving and he gets stuck and they couldnt figure out how to get him out of there so they left him in there. . I don't get why nobody thought of filling the cave with water and letting you and Ed go in there and get him.... Im just thinking they could of saved that mans life .... For real though how do you feel about that don't you think there's something they could of done to get that man out of there .
