-Acceleration comparison between a 2020 Ford Mustang Ecoboost premium convertible and a 2020 Dodge Challenger RT. Both cars were below 12k miles, loaded on 93 oct. premium fuel and the transmissions in the sportiest settings. Managed a 5.8sc 0-60 with the mustang's track app, and 5.1sc with the Challenger's track app as my best times with those settings.
All filmed in Mexico with a Yi 4K Action camera.

These ecoboost are no joke specially when fbo. I seen them on the track get a better number than me on my mild bolt on gt
Ikr and they handle crazy good. Mine is fbo and tuned by pd and I was dead even with a bullit the other day and actually started pulling him in the top end. That twin scroll turbo just creates tons of torque. Only downside to the Ecoboost is 450 is like the safe limit where the GT gives you more peace of mind at high hp and also the sound. My EcoBoost actually sounds pretty sick with no cats and a tune, nothing like the fart can it is stock but the GT is one of the best sounding cars in existence so your kinda screwed there.
@@4touchdowns1game29 Whats your exhaust system ??? do you have burble tune?
Wow, who'd have guessed that would be the case ??
Seemed like the dodge only had a good size lead past the 100 mark up until then decently close
Crazy
Do you think the hardtop would beat the R/T or maybe just a little closer to not losing? Lol
I tried a hardtop. Ill make a comparison video later on. I managed the same 0-60 as a charger RT with it ( 5.3sc on both ). So while the 0-60 will be as fast as a Charger RT ( this challenger is 0.2sc faster than a charger ). The RT will pick up in the long run. Bigger motor, more hp, more torque. Probably gets to 120 faster than the ecoboost.
Damn, wish the eco wasn’t a convertible
What?
I'll take the challenger
🐎🐎🐎👏👏👏👏
Once again...Dodge disappoints
Nah, it out performed the Ecoboost especially on the top end, it's a heavier car so it's going to have issues on the low end. But you have to remember the Ecoboost has a turbo(Forced air induction) that's like someone slapping a turbo charger on a 5.7 and racing a GT and saying the GT did poorly. Turbos were traditionally used for aftermarket use. Ford became smart and started introducing them into lower tier cars so that they can compete with power naturally aspirated cars like the 5.7 So in short if we threw a turbocharger or supercharger (Forced air induction) the ecoboost wouldn't even hold a candle to a 5.7 still a stock 5.7 would more than likely win in a quarter mile. Still ecoboost aren't bad cars, they're good in my book. I just hate haters. Just enjoy what car you enjoy without hating.

Yes, but it also has 3,400 less cc, with less hp and torque. I know that forced induction can replace displacement, but it still produces less power and torque.
Your GT vs blown 5.7 argument would have more merit if the 2 cars in the video were only 700cc’s different with an equal number of cylinders.
It comes down to hp/weight ratio and here, the Ford wins. Me personally, I’d never own a turbocharged 4 banger or V-6, but I’ll never tell someone else what to drive.
@@scottythebody0811 You know i thought the same way about owning a turbo 4, Until my Fiesta ST the only non v8 car i ever owned was a Grand Prix GTP Coupe with the 3800 series II Supercharged V6. And after having driven the little Fiesta ST my mind was blown. With a cobb stage 3 tune it put almost as much tq down to the wheels as the tuned 4.6L 3v in my swapped 04 mustang GT. And the 2600lbs is really what makes it a little killer on the streets ! I'm still a V8 guy at heart but the little 1.6L EB in the ST keeps on surprising me.
R/T all the way! Mopar or no car
I'd go scat pack if i were to get one. The RT is kind of a waste of a V8. Struggles vs ecoboosts and v6 camaros, i beat a ton of them in my grocery getter stage 3 fiesta st.... The new HiPo Ecoboost Mustang is faster ... Car looks great and sounds amazing though. The active exhaust was great.
@@CarAccelerationChannel damn just diss R/Ts I might have to send you a video of what the 5.7 can really do
@@acerswift123 i make those videos myself with my own footage so i've driven plenty of RT's. I had a 2020 charger RT for 2 months 2 weeks ago. They're not fast sorry dude. With that large of displacement and that low of HP it's obvious they respond pretty well to mods, but as far as a factory offering a Camaro RS v6 10 speed, or a Mustang HiPo ecoboost 10 speed are faster, more nimble and more fuel efficient. They def. don't sound as good.
@@CarAccelerationChannel I’ve beating like 2010 SS from a dig, kept up with 2013 mustang GTS. Here is the thing you have to understand, for this big ass boat it’s fast. 4000lbs car still doing 0-60 in 5 flat should be considered fast. Now is it the fastest...no. I watch out for certain vehicles because I know newer Gen SS and GT will smoke me pretty badly, but to be just the 5.7 my car has beaten a lot of cars out there.
@@acerswift123 I beat RTs with my grocery getter, they're not fast. Best i got in a charger RT with a k&n air filter was 5.3sc, best i got in a challenger is 5.1sc. A bone stock 2013 Mustang GT does 4.3 .... You probably raced a 2010 with the 4.6L which will do it in 4.9sc with only 310hp ...
Thats embarrassing
