That oil cleanser is one of the fewest out there without capric triglycerides and ethylhexyl palmitate. Those two ingredients break me out like crazy! So their formulation at least, in my opinion, is more novel for a cleansing oil
My go-to oil cleaner is the Softy-Mo from Japan. Recommended by Dr Dray years ago here on YT. I have tried different ones but ALWAYS go back. It’s the best with waterproof mascara with zero eye irritation. Can’t say enough about it.
Totally agree! And you can't beat the price! I just got some of the refills for my Softy-Mo pump bottle; they were less than $6 on Stylevana
Hi Dr Dray, update re the AVEENO Calm & Restore Oat Gel Moisturiser not having centella in the UK version, I contacted them and they said "We can confirm the product does not have centella in it. In the UK we market a wide variety of products, however they are marketed and manufactured in a different way than in our other branches of the company." So there we go - what a shame!
Thanks for letting me know 👍🏼
Happy vlog day! I learned about double cleansing from you and it’s become my fav part of my nighttime routine. Have a happy day 💙
Thank you! You too!
News Nobody Asked For: I learned today that UltaMD UV Clear spf 46 sunscreen’s pump delivers exactly 1/4 teaspoon of product, which is the recommended amount for use on the face - I measured it with a 1/4 baking teaspoon, and yup. So, one pump for face, another pump for ears, and neck, and yay.
Mo
I use that in fact I used it today 👍
Agree best part is going under beds! that alone makes it a worthwhile purchase. Thank you for all your info. I’m 65 and quite late to caring for my skin, but I’m learning!
I have been shocked by how effective it is
Love seeing you mesmerized by your roomba! We were the same way when we got ours a few years ago. We’ve since upgraded to the one that empties itself on its own at its dock. Not a necessary upgrade for someone who doesn’t have pets or kids but we have 2 dogs and 3 cats, needless to say, LOTS of hair on our floors if we don’t run it daily! Love that you love your roomba lol
Yes, we have the 99-cent store here in the Los Angeles area. I actually love the Suave clarifying shampoo! It's very effective but doesn't wreck my hair. And for around $3! And I'm somebody who also loves fancy shampoos like matrix Biologe and living proof.
👍🏼👍🏼
I use Suave Clarifying shampoo on my hair once a week, and I use it as a makeup brush cleaner. It rinses really clean, doesn't leave much fragrance. Love it!
Yes I love it too! I also clean my hairbrushes with it. I wish they made a fragrance-free version but otherwise it’s awesome ❤❤❤
Why do hair stylists hate suave? Is it only to get you to buy their stuff?
Sounds like a great deal! Will buy next time I see, and give it a try!
I’m an esthetician and I use spicules in treatments for clients. I wondered the same thing with the foreign body reaction, but the way they work (and it should only be used by someone who’s been trained to do this) is that they’re worked into the outer layers of the skin only (so reaching the bottom layer of the epidermis). They do hang out there, but the treatment causes increased skin cell turnover kind of like a chemical peel or enzyme exfol. and the spicules shed up and out with the rest of the skin as it flakes off. The training with that treatment is super important so that they aren’t pushed too deep. Terrifying seeing people doing it to themselves without any training or understanding of how it works!
My favorite part of cleansing is the IM RICE POWDER CLEANSER FROM TONYMOLY. Add a few drops of water and wash away! And second I adore the COSRX snail serum, I seriously don’t know if it does anything for the skin (anyone have results?) It’s just such a pleasure to rub the slimy nail mucin all over my face and neck. I will continue to re-purchase it just for the enjoyment!
The Peach Sluces Snail serum is really nice. Not as sticky.
@@dmvfosterkittenshow would I use it with Tretinoin?!
We use our IRobot almost daily and love how it keeps the dust down. Still clean corners by hand but only takes a minute. Our house is fairly large so we section off half at a time with the lighthouses.
It works well 👍🏼
Random. Never saw you make coffee . I picked up a few coffee grinders from the thrift store for $2,- (Braun and Moulinex from the 60-70-ties) to grind my flax- and hennep seeds. Still working perfectly after half a century😊
Dr. Dray Are you practicing dermatology in a office or you just doing RUclips now. I remember when u used to go ,taking your lunch etc.
Just went to the library yesterday b/c you've been mentioning alot lately. Had some good solo time
Love the library
I went yesterday too! Love the library
I love that oil cleanser. Perhaps you got a bad one or it went rancid? I've gone through 3 bottles and none of them smell like anything to me and mine emulsifies pretty well. Sounds like something is off with yours.
We named our iRobot “Hazel” and yes, I find myself mesmerized just watching her move about the floors doing her best 😂
My iRobot is named "Hazel," too!
A friend of mine named his Cleanopatra
@@sandracox4341 - Hahaha, that’s fabulous! “Cleanopatra” 😂
My husband and I clap for ours when it's done and tell it good job
I ALWAYS return to my Hada Labo Oil Cleanser (thanks to you Dr. Dray) ❤️
Same! It’s not fancy but it’s the best
I have the same vacuum robot and I love it! I try to run it everyday or at least every other day. Really helps if you have pets.
The Tresemmé Clarifying (aka Horrifying) shampoo stripped my hair something shocking, even though I just applied it to my scalp once. My hair is naturally oily, poker straight, lightened and past my shoulders. After using this shampoo it began to tangle easily (esp. at night), when it never had that concern before. I didn't want to waste my purchase, so now I use it to clean my hair brushes & combs.
After some TLC and a trim my hair is slowly recovering. I have been loosly braiding my hair/soft rollers at night with a silk bonnet. I prefer to look more like Veronica Lake than The Creature From The Black Lagoon...or Beetlejuice!

Dr Dray lives in Houston, Texas
I miss your walks to work!
Oh those walks… I loved them also
I think you should name your iRobot, Henry. Henry is very entertaining to watch. Maybe put some googly eyes and some chenille pipe cleaners on him for antennae. 😂.
Yes to googly eyes! It always looks cuter when one eye is bigger than the other. I do enjoy watching the videos of where people have placed googly eyes on random objects for comical effect.
The antennae would have to be quite short and/or angled so that it would still be able to venture under the bed.
"Henry" vacuum cleaners are popular in the UK. They already have a face and bowler hat! Anyone unfamilar, checkout the images online. They are adorable.
👱♀️❤
@@nadab4750 OMG I need to check that out. My husband showed me this one guy who customized his iRobot to curse when it bumped into stuff. Would totally want one.
@@christinescott5002 I've have smallish multi-levels and stairs in my apartment, so I don't have the need and therefore can't own a pet robot vacuum cleaner 😔

Hi Dr. Dray! Thanks for your videos. Always look forward to them. I recently saw a video about women in their 80’s and 90’s swearing by Nivea crème keeping their skin soft and subtle. Was doing some research, looking at the ingredient list and there are like 3 different versions of the creme. The U.S. brand manufactured in Mexico, German and Japan version. Would love to see you do a review on all 3!
Same! I wish they’d make a ff version!
I have to say though it’s too thick and hard to spread though 😅
I didn't like my robot vac. I bought the one I did (a self-empty Shark model that would return to base and recharge itself) because tests showed it picked up more than others. But I was really unimpressed. It seems good for hard floor, maybe very low-pile rugs, and pet hair. They are not good for lifting dust/dirt out from deep in medium-pile carpets. They just aren't strong enough to suck to that extend AND move themselves around. Vacuuming immediately after with my upright corded Shark would bring up so much more that it missed that unless you have pet hair, it just isn't worth it. After a couple months of testing, I cleaned it up real good and returned it. I think I decided on getting hard flooring throughout the main floor later, so I might buy one at that time, because it seemed to do well enough in the kitchen.
I have an iRobert, too. I love mine as well and watch Hercules clean way too much. I have laminate flooring everywhere and struggled like crazy to clean under my bed. Hercules goes right under the bed and gets rid of all the dust. My daughter gave him to me-one of the best present ever! She got big googly eyes and some velcro. So now Hercules has googly eyes. 😂😂
The BISSELL robot vacs also mop and they do a really good job.
VLOG DAY! I look forward to it all week. 💜💜💜
happy saturday
Nice that you can make coffee with water from your tap! Not many places where you can do that anymore. At my parents house in Arkansas we didn’t have to filter the water.
The Hada Labo cleansing oil is just ok for me. It doesn’t remove my makeup as well as other products.
Hada Labo is my jam and does it for me. I love it!
I like the DHC “Deep Cleansing Oil,” sometimes available at Costco. Japanese company.
Dr. Dray can you do a video on the Olaplex lawsuit? I’ve never used their products but I’m curious on your perspective.
I just received a bag of raven's brew coffee and made my 1st cup this morning. YUM YUM YUM! It might become a huge favorite. I tried the Bruin Blend Grin & Bear It. So good! I can't wait to try the others . ☕️😋

there this huge surge of push from influencers lately about this cleansing oil and not a single one mentioned that smell aside from you. i wonder why they leave it out
Thanks Dr. Dray. You turned me on to the Hada Labo cleansing oil, and I’ve never considered using anything else. That stuff is gold!
Hi, I ordered all the Korean products you shared the other day! Have a great weekend!🥰
Ingredients for those wondering: Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Polyglyceryl-5 Dioleate, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Sorbitol, Water, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Polyglyceryl-5 Oleate, Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Lactobacillus/Papaya Fruit Ferment Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
Oops, I just did the same.... weird how someone so normally very diligent about ingredients is just so..... seemingly clueless about what's in this product and just proceeds to demo and talk about it... very out of character... I'm like, is she on drugs or what? Then goes into a vlog about her robot vac.... hmmmmm
@@coffeebeforemascaraShe does vlogs weekly; that's how she started out on RUclips but then found viewers wanted dermatology info, so she did that more. I did notice her seems less caring about ingredients lately. And she's pushing less about fragrance in things, which is fine, since many viewers don't care about/aren't affected by fragrance in products. However, overall, some of these kinds of changes feel like she sold out a bit.
@@coffeebeforemascara why what's wrong with the ingredients?
@@coffeebeforemascara I checked the ingredients and to me they seem fine. What do you think is ‘wrong’ with it?
(So tired of people nitpicking to find something ‘wrong’ with everything they see or hear someone do)
@@coffeebeforemascara because formulation and user experience matter more over ingredients list. I wouldn't be obsessing over ingredients list unless I have skin allergies triggered certain ingredients.
Hitting pan with your coffee. That’s hilarious.
I really don’t understand these trends like at home micro needling and now this spicules, it just sounds dangerous when not under the supervision of a doctor but that’s just me.. and I love double cleansing, that hado labo cleansing oil cannot be beat! I’m using the palmers cleansing oil right now and it’s pretty good but I miss my hado labo 😂

Wow!!! So surprised that you thought the Peach & Lily cleansing oil has a terrible smell. Either my sniffer or yours is off. I’ve been using this product for about a year and to me, it has no fragrance nor a synthetic plastic smell. To each his own but I will say as someone who breaks out like a 12 year old, this oil cleanser doesn’t have any of the pore clogging nasties that are generally present in oil based cleansers. It beautifully removes my long wear makeup without clogging my pores or leaving an oily residue (which can happen with oil or balm cleaners). Certainly, to each it’s own but I was surprised by your harsh review.
Hi Dr Dray so excited to be here for a Saturday vlog Happy Saturday I live for this❤
Morning!
We got a Roomba for Christmas and wow, we love it! We have a dog so it's been so great at keeping the dog hair at bay. I'm finding that I need to do a really good vacuum with my regular Dyson about once a month but for daily vacuuming, Roomba is the way to go.
Hello Dr. Dray, HERE’S A TIP, with a scissor cut the cetaphil relief cream tube and you’ll see all the cream inside which you couldn’t get to by squeezing it. It’s a great trick I learned whereby I get to use up every little bit that would otherwise have been wasted .
Yes, I cut my "almost empty" tubes in half. I use the contents of the crimped end first, then use it to cover over the open end of the other half. Much easier & neater than using a clip.
👱♀️❤
The problem for me when doing that is the ends become too sharp
Can you talk about chilblains (prevention and treatment)?
Yes please! These are the bane of my existence during the Winter time
Yes! We really can’t afford much heat, and oh my goodness my poor toes!
I had the 99 Cent store when I lived in Atlanta, not now in St. Louis. I found the VO5 conditioner to be not moisturizing at all, and I used the Suave body wash for several years, then changed to something less drying. Five Below is Fifteen Below now.
Woot, love the vlogs!! Happy Saturday!
Glad you like them!
We named our robot vacuum “Maude”. She does a great job!
My Walgreen's is stocking the new Neutrogena tinted mineral sunscreen. I really like it. It's very lightweight, feels hydrating without being sticky or greasy and the tint looks very natural on the skin. Some tinted SPF's look more like makeup but this one does not. I'll definitely be picking up the next deeper shade to use as a self tanner. 🥰🌞
You just need a cat now to ride around on your Roomba! 😹
I have an mi allergy and one shocking place I’ve found it was in the base of a compounded topical prescription my derm prescribed! We were both like “why on earth would they do that?!?”
What is Mi?

I am currently using sweet almond oil and rose hip oil as a part of my cleansing routine. I exfoliate with an acne cleanser first rise and pat dry then put on a thick layer of a mix of the two oils. I leave it on for about 5 minutes then I wipe it away using a clean soft towel. I am 41 and I am acne prone but this cleansing method makes my skin softer and I never breakout from it. Plus it forms a good base on my skin before I start using my using my retinol resurfacing treatment.

Trying the Neutrogena Purescreen tinted sunscreen per your recommendation -- today's the first day, I've had it on for about an hour now, & it feels like it will never dry down. Not just tacky, but totally smear-able. 😓
Your descriptions are hilarious.
Even in this fragrance-free world I think if you call something "Peaches and Lily" it should smell like peaches or lilies! I splurged on the glass skin spray (sticky) years ago and was so disappointed. Peach Slices has really good products but I still wish it smelled like peaches. 🍑

Peach slices is actually owned by peach and Lilly. I have to agree I don’t like peach and Lilly’s fragrances items I wish this was the year more companies would exclude fragrance and essential oils. I feel like it limits their market so much to who can use it. I don’t know a single person in my real life who can or wants to use anything with fragrance especially essential oils.
