THANK YOU for the rant about the removable pads in tops, I can't stand them. Especially for people in the large breast camp (like yours truly 🙋♀️) they are never big enough. I hate when the bra top itself fits well but then the removable pad is too small and the imprint of it is visible no matter how you place it.
I hate those removable cupss even if they are the right size. they crumple up and you have to adjust them each time. Also you have to make sure you don't loose a cup in the washer or something.
I used to waste money, but since I’ve started using Tretinoin, have saved so much money. I use mostly Vanicream products and LRP which are drugstore products. My skin has never looked better by simplifying my routine.
Thank you for addressing the dermatologist access problem. As someone who has had skin problems, I agree with you. Getting an appointment is crazy. So I often end up with whatever I can find over the counter. Thank you for bring this to attention.
It takes about 3 months to get an appointment, and by then the problem has either cleared up or you are insane from the itching/whatever. It's more than frustrating.
i am guilty of falling into the skincare trap, but one of my goals for this year is to simplify drastically. i am DONE with serums. I will stick to SPF and tretinoin, and if i want something else, i'll get it built-in to the product (like an antioxidant in my moisturiser). thank you so much all you do, Dr.! happy saturday 🌹
Completely agree with everything you’ve said about Dermatologists. In the UK we have a serious lack of Dermatologists and unless you can afford to pay privately then you have to wait at least 6 months for a Consultation. I’ve always found it strange that we are covered in skin yet there seems to be a lack of available medical resources when it come to skin health. x
It really is a problem for every country. People who can't afford paying a private doctor for given the situation dermatologist what they we can do ? Resolve it by ourselves and worsen the problem ? And the treatment if it is costly ? Actions should must be taken. We really shouldn't play with matters of health it is really bad on their behalf for those who do. 😇🙏
Here we have one derm available and she'll see you if you have cancer, otherwise it's the not too great physician's assistant. We traveled nearly 2 hours to see a doctor for a severe reaction to poison ivy.
The Dermatology Team at Kansas University saved my life!!! I had the worst case of Vasculitis most of the doctors there had ever seen. The head of Dermatology got involved in my case when they had to hospitalized me for 4 days because my Vasculitis became infected. MyRhumetologist was very involved as well. ( I have PsA) They also got infectious disease team involved. I was seeing 3 specialist when I left hospital. I will forever be grateful for all the wonderful people who helped to keep me alive.
You were definitely in good hands at the University of Kansas Health System. My cousin is the director for Infection Control and Prevention. So proud of him and the work he does. I’m a bit biased, but it is and excellent hospital, and may have to move there some day for top notch healthcare. 🤔 Hope you are doing well ! ☺️
Thank you Dr. Dray! I am an RN and have over a decade of care management (ED and outpatient). I am a huge advocate in promoting education on appropriate utilization of healthcare resources and preventative care. And absolutely, initiating care with a dermatologist with regular visits can decrease healthcare waste (time/money/progression of disease/incorrect treatments) while also having a positive impact on quality of life. Loss of sleep due to itching being an example anyone can relate to, which overtime does have a profound impact especially with children (and their parents alike).
@@georgiafrye2524 I can see that being challenging especially with the multiple layers of obstacles. Hopefully as we see more advancement in technology it will close that care gap. Until then, I am grateful for channels like this.
I got contact dermatitis back on 2020 and it’s still there because of overuse tret. Idk, it seems like it won’t ever go and I won’t be able to use anything and everything except for calming and hydrating products.
I totally agree about the pads. Sew them in! As for the tags they irritate your skin. I swear the edges melt and get hard and poke you. It’s so annoying!
Thank you Dr. Dray for talking about dermatologists in the ER, hives and missed opportunities on tissue biopsy. I went through all of this hell with going to the ER for chronic idiopathic urticaria. None was done for me although I was losing my mind from my itch. I nearly teared up hearing you talk about it, and I felt seen.
It's so great that we have you Dr. Dray. You're a special person Dr. Dray. Not many people care enough to take the time to explain the good and bad of skin care products and how to care for your skin.
My partner just told me "I don't know why you bought a new cleanser when you love the one we have now" and I responded so hurt "why can't you just be happy that I'm excited to try a new cleanser when this one is done!?" Haha he felt bad but low key he's right
@@celinepope emotional blackmail much 👏🏻🤣👏🏻🤣 I told my husband if he sees me getting a new cleanser to ask me what the ingredients do so I have to explain it and perhaps just put it back on the shelf LOL! TBH i used to purchase $60 moisturizer (it was crap) so my $20 moisturizer is warmly welcomed!
Yes Dr.Dray!! I went to my doctor three times and not getting answers before going to the dermatologist. Derm took the time to test and find out I had cutaneous lupus. I would also love a video going over cutaneous lupus!
If you want to keep them because the fabric is too thin without them, I recommend just sewing them in place so they don't move around. Prevents all of the crumpling. Just a few discrete stitches will help immensely.
It is so true that there is not enough access to good dermatologists. I come from from a small town, we do have a dermatologist but unfortunately she doesnt seem to care about digging into a skin issue. She spends maybe 5 minutes in an appointment and then prescribes medication. It is frustrating especially when things I dont understand are happening to my skin and I cant get an explanation. Your videos have helped me considerably, thank you so much for taking the time.
I live in a apartment building that was formally a school, built 100+ years ago. In the foyer we have a small bookcase to leave & borrow books. Above that, there's is a blackboard for messages. On the bookcase there was a clear plastic disposable container for the chalk, which I saw every time I entered the foyer. Recently, I couldn't help myself and I swapped it! I did this after I realised that I already had a more aesthetically pleasing one that would be the perfect replacement. I had found it years ago on one of my thrift shopping trips. It is made by Bendigo Pottery (collectable Australian) and is a leaf green glazed shallow dish. The best thing is that it is divided into two sections. The large section sits The chunky chalk sits in the large section and the small chalk sits in smaller chalk. I feel much better now every time I come home and open the big black foyer door. Little things can make a big difference. 👱♀️❤
I’m on a no buy for skincare because I do tend to spend too much…I just have always loved beauty products! I hope to cut it down this year especially since I already know the products that I really love and could use forever. I appreciate the knowledge you give because I now know how to manage my eczema/psoriasis which is extremely frustrating to deal with. And of course your sunscreen reviews helped me selecting the right ones for me. Thanks Dr Dray! And I’m very jealous of your Kroger, it has such a good squashmallows selection ❤

I’m so glad you said all of that about access to dermatological care. Currently in my area, there is a year long waitlist to see the dermatologists anywhere near me. It’s ridiculous. If someone is really suffering from a condition, seeing a dermatologist quickly can make a huge difference. I suffer from scalp psoriasis and eczema and the diagnosis and treatment suggestions for my scalp psoriasis literally changed my life. The painful, itching plaques I would get would also flake on my shoulders. It was really debilitating physically and embarrassing and I went through it for years until a derm gave me treatment options that keep it under control. I also have babies and it’s very anxiety-inducing to see your baby struggle with eczema or another skin condition and getting in to see someone can help a parent out so much.
As a medicine doc, we have a really hard time getting people to needed specialties. Derm, ophtho, and ENT aren't even staffed at my hospital. If someone has a huge problem like a facial fracture, or a severe cutaneous vasculitis, or needs these services, they have to be transferred.
I personally believe that insurance should pay out more for dermatology visits. I under stand some people go for “vanity” reasons… but my vanity has led to my derm finding pre- cancerous spots on my face and body. ( Summers spent at the neighbors pool all day everyday with no sunscreen ) using Tretinoin has aloud me to see my skin better without my malasma masking the rest of my face. I now go every six months for my check up on my Vasculitus and “cancer”checks.
It also can save your life. In my case, I had a white small lesion on my upper chest, I never suspected that it was cancer. Always thought cancer had to be dark and irregular shaped. This was white, almost clear, but shiny. I watched it for several years, until one day I just didn’t like how it looked. Somehow it seemed as if it changed, never got darker, just had a feeling. My dermatologist that I had to search for, and wait a long time to get an appointment with said she had never had someone come to her that had found their own skin cancer. It was removed I was treated with that awful cream went back every three months for a year and a half then six months, then a year. Was going back yearly and it came back in a different spot but on the same side. I had to start it all over again. Thankfully, it has been about a year and a half now. I still faithfully go every six months. I appreciate and I’m so thankful for your videos and my dermatologist.
I actually really appreciate those pads in sports bras because I have nip visibility problems lol. But I agree, it takes forever to place them back in properly after laundry
Two things: for those bra pads, before throwing the bras into the wash, put a safety pin through each pad and they won’t budge. The orchids like to be ignored and admired from afar. Put a 12-hour light on them and water them as recommended. They will do well in that type of care.
Another general gripe I have is...the text on the boxes or the tubes of skincare/makeup etc. are all getting so tiny, it is basically illegible/unreadable. Are they doing that on purpose so that you'd buy something without reading up on the ingredients and what nots? The only way to read the text is to take a photo of it with your mobile and then expand it. I don't want to be doing that with every product I browse! Tis ridiculous! Yes, I, too, am confused about the multiple tags on bras. It is so strange.
Laughed so hard regarding the sports bra! I feel ya! $30-$58 .. I want all the fabric and I don’t want to fight to in it!!! And the stacks of tags on clothing…. Didn’t make it to the skin segment and I’m rolling
Your videos are so good to have & I bet your patients adore having a doc like you. I was lucky to get a good dermatolgist to treat my psoriasis (related to sarcoidosis). She turned me on to the CeraVe ointment that I still use today - 7 years later. One funny thing is that the first few times I saw the doc was while I was having a lot of "bad brain" days & I was so offended that she always kept her hands in her labcoat pocket when she entered the exam room. It took me months to realize that, as a dermatologist, she probably didn't like shaking hands with patients without her gloves on. And, you're right, I can't see a dermatologist as often as I would like.
Dr. Dray, I’m so glad you addressed about potential issues surrounding dermatological problems, ER visits, & hospitalization. I had a dear elderly friend several years ago who developed symptoms consistent with contact dermatitis. His dermatologist immediately recommended a change from any soaps/shower gels, shampoos, body care products that contained fragrance or known potential allergens. His condition was so severe, he had to use a separate bathroom from his wife & daughter to prevent any potential airborne particles from affecting him. His condition continued to worsen, & at one point, he had to be rushed to the ER with his hands bleeding uncontrollably. He did require hospitalization & was eventually released, but was sent to specialists at University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, & I believe finally to Mayo Clinic. It was believed that there was some kind of autoimmune component to his condition, but the actual cause was never determined & the many attempted treatments were futile. He eventually died, & to this day, his case is in the medical literature in case it might be beneficial to someone else down the line with similar symptoms/disease progression. All this to say, as you mentioned, dermatological assessment is vital in so many cases, & for some like my friend, certain conditions can be fatal. It’s serious stuff, & it is truly disconcerting when this kind of important care is becoming harder to come by. My friend received fairly timely care, but I wonder about people who have no choice but to delay due to unavailability of care or financial hardship. His experiences were very eye-opening for me. 😕
Dr. Dray, I highly recommended you the Under Armor Sport Bra. They are expensive but worth it. They don’t have removable pads and are perfect after wash them. I teenage daughter with Autism only uses Sport Bras and you can imagine the poor girl putting back the pads after every wash. Until I researched and found The Holy Grail for Bras perfect for her!!! Thanks for all your recommendations! Much love from TX! ❤❤❤
My daughter can relate to ER visits and lack of proper care. She lives on Maui and the other day had a 1-person accident on her e-bike. Long story short, her body and face got badly tore up. The ER Dr said her facial wounds and facial road-rash abrasions would heal w/no scarring (said no stitches needed), but left her face untreated (didn't clean up any wounds or abrasions on her whole body), didn't prescribe anything for her, and didn't refer her to a dermatologist. Once home, while in a lot of pain, she had to clean all her wounds! (She's single.) She's been treating her face with aloe vera and a neighbor (calls himself a Chinese healer) gave her tincture to use as well. She plans on seeing a derm soon. Hard to believe the ER Dr didn't address her facial wounds and was only interested in checking for broken bones (fortunately only a fractured elbow). I live in the States and too far away to help her directly. Seems patients have to demand proper treatment with ER Drs who are in such a hurried rush. That's my rant for today. Love your videos Dr Dray! You alerted us to upcoming rising prices for skincare, thank you. Your title for this video is timely, esp how we can save $ rather than wasting. Seems inflation is taking its toll on everything and taking a hit on everyone's budget. Ugh! (Btw, your Kroger store looks really nice.)
OMG you are making me laugh today! Coffee beans, are you a REAL coffee drinker!!HAHA! I dont grind, because Im just too cheap and lazy. Also 100 percent agree with you on the pads in a sports bra and the 10 tags on a tiny bra. Tag free was the BEST invention for highly sensitive people like me!
"I dont grind, because Im just too cheap and lazy." Ummm... it is CHEAPER to buy beans and grind than it is to buy grounds. A coffee grinder is $4 at thrift stores, free on craigslist.
Hey dr dray, you should do an expose or rant against those kiosks or stores that sell dead sea skin care. They have so many manipulative staff that bother ppl in the mall. I was shocked to find out that this not only happens in my country but also there in the states. If you google it, there are so many complaints yet I havent seen anyone talk about it
omg yes, my mother got harassed by those people and was pressured into buying their stuff that she didn't want or need. This was in Sydney Australia so those dead sea people are everywhere.
Im an Oncologist who does a lot of skin Oncology and its not taken seriously bye many people. A lymphoma is a lot of times mistaken for an eczema or smth similar. Even MDs dont look at skin as they use to. In my opinion EVERYBODY should have an annual dermatoscopy but rarely anybody does. In my country you can wait for a year or more to access a derm, unless you pay out of pocket.
There are long waits to see a derm in my country, Australia. Just in the news this morning, is that in the state of Queensland, skin cancer deaths now outnumber car accident deaths. And Qld has a rate of melanoma 40% higher than the rest of the country. People flock to live there because of the sunshine and beaches and parts of it are tropical zone.
I find orchids super easy to maintain, a couple of ice cubes once a week, keep it near a window and they usually last 2-3 months! You should give it another try!
Girl! I have been waiting to see a dermatologist in my area. They told me it will be over 1 year. I have severe acne and now my ears and neck have a very itchy red bumpy rash and I keep going back to regular doctor cause the past 3 times I've been misdiagnosed so it's not going away. I work in food service it's really embarrassing to show up looking the way I do.
My sister has erythrodermic psoriasis that started 5 years ago. Many visits to the ER, stays in hospital and 3 weeks in a rehab facility. Complications necessitated having a toe amputated. The dermatologists were stumped until one of them finally figured it out. She was the first case many had ever seen. It was over a year from onset to recovery. It almost killed her. My husband’s medical school classmate started out in an Internal Medicine residency for 3 years then switched over to Derm. Said it was the best thing he could possibly have done. Maybe there should be more Derm programs that include intensive Internal Medicine studies.
While I prefer the coverage those pesky pads give, putting them back in is an absolute frustration I could do without. Listen up, sports bra makers. Just sew the darn things in! In the rural area where I live, there's only one derm office to serve two counties. Appointments are several months out even if you're having a real problem. So I'm sure the local hospital ER and Urgent Care offices see a lot of skin problems. Enjoyed the vlog! Your new candles sound nice! Happy Saturday, Dr Dray!! Hope you have a tranquil evening. 💖
100% agree about the sports tops. I never buy any of those with complicated straps. They drive me crazy. You wash the top and it comes out of the washer all tangled. And forget putting them on or taking them off.
I’m a garment engineer and a sports bra expert… been doing it for 15+ years. You’re supposed to take the pads out in the wash! There is a trick to put them back in, maybe I should make an video on it it! Once you know the technique, it’s quite easy 😊 We have to add them because people are afraid of nipples and they won’t sell without them 😑
Choice between nipple exposure and dedicating time to take out for washing, then Uber frustrating reinsertion of pads, hmm I’m on team “free the nips”.
@@air-conditionedgypsy8863 oh I absolutely am as well! the average consumer defines “modesty” as no nipple poke through 🤷♀️ it’s a sustainability nightmare as foam for removable cookies and sewn in pads is a petroleum product and creates a lot of waste just in manufacturing ☹️ and full sewn in foam cups are more expensive, and everyone wants garments for the most minimal cost. 😥 but overconsumption is a whole other conversation 😅🫠 free the nip!!
@Air-Conditioned Gypsy it takes a second to pull them out. Seconds to put back in. I don't care about nipples showing but some women do. Young women who are not wanting to be stared at. Especially young pretty girls. It makes them a potential stalker risk. Men can be very creepy. Some women are invisible to men. Some feel like they're constantly getting hit on
There ARE sport bras that have them swen in though. Or there are sport bras that just make the boobie cover parte more thiccccc instead of using the pad.

I love your videos and have learned so much! I am begging…could you please do some videos on cruelty free products such as cleanser sunscreen moisturizers anti-aging serums and creams etc.example I would love love love to use the sunscreen your recommending but I’m pretty sure that brand tests on animals. Many people aren’t bothered by this but many many do. To me it is a deal breaker. You are one of the few people I trust on you tube. I really think you know what your doing plus your sense of humor is priceless. Thank you. There is no excuse for testing on animals.
First, your comment about the novel on the tags really cracked me up! You have a great sense of humor. I wanted to ask you a favor. I turned 70 two days after Christmas and I am trying to figure out how that happened! I would love for you to suggest what skincare routine or products you would recommend from cleanser to sunscreen. Day and night routine. I am guilty of buying the "next" big miracle that seldom does what is says. I am fine with drugstore brands. At this point I just want to have healthy skin. I have sun damage but the vitamin A products made my very dry skin even worse. It has finally sunk in that all these products I have accumulated are doing more damage than good. Thank you so much for helping me. Love your videos. Stay blessed. Janet
Omg I was LITERALLY struggling with three sports bras with removable pads that I just washed as you were talking about them! You're too relatable, haha! ❤️❤️

Orchid tip from previous orchid killer!! Water every 10 days by taking out of their pot and standing in the sink. Pour over body temperature water and allow it to run through then just leave the pot there to drain for 10 minutes. I also spritz the whole plant with a mist of water at the same time. Give the plant a good orchid feed per instructions on box. This hasn’t failed me or my parents since we started following this routine👌❤️

Love this vid! My hubby is a coffee person (I am not), and he is struggling with the "grind my own" vs "speedy open a package". Too funny. Thanks for the "check yourself" tips, about skincare traps.
Hello Dr Dray, thank you for the video. Concerning orchids, during 45 years I believed they were high maintenance, it's a legend! 3 years ago, I worked in an horticultural company and my then boss made me discover this plant (phalaenopsis). It's very easy to maintain as a matter of fact. Rules 1: bathe the plant (the platic pot only) in water for 10 minutes, and then soak. Frequency? When you see that the roots are greyish ou white. If they are still green: no need of watering Rule 2: place them near a window, but never in direct sun. North or South direction has no importance, the most important is that it needs light+++, so nearby a window is ideal. A tiny amount of fertilizer is OK every 2 weeks (a quarter of the recommended dose of a casual fertilizer, no need to buy expensive fertilizer for orchids) Rule 3: if you have doubt about watering (shall i weater it or not?), preferably do not water, phalaenopsis can bear dryness but overwatering can cause root rot and kill it Rule 4: when flowering is finished, cut the flower stalks 2 cm from the base.the plant then enters the growth phase. Cutting the flower stalk (which consumes a lot of energy for the plant) will allow the plant to grow (leave growth) Rule 5: avoid cold air current (when you open the window to ventilate the room) Rule 6: repot the plant after 1 year after the purchase. And after, you can repot it every 2 years. So after 3 years of maintenance and with 19 orchids (phalaenopsis = low maintenance, phragmipedium and paphiopedilum = higher maintenance), they are still alive, so it s a very easy plant to maintain. Hope it helps :)
Strappy top situation reminding me of when I try to take off wrap style rompers, like I feel like I'm gonna dislocate a shoulder there. Also when those straps do a racerback behind and if you have a bigger chest, straps start to sink in the skin, pulls on neck.. Ughhh... I can keep this rant train going 🚆
We have 4 orchids in the house, and they actually aren't that high maintenance. Just give them orchid feed once a week, make sure they're watered, and in a place that gets sunlight. Ours have all bloomed multiple times, and are growing.
I agree - don't understand the pads - I don't buy garments that have them. I cut tags out of all of my clothes - I don't like them :) 😄 I grind my coffee beans everyday - I just love the smell, and in my mind I have convinced myself that the coffee is fresher. Enjoy your weekend! 🌸💮🌸
Have to agree with you, about the straps on bras and athletic tops. Wait until your 70 and can't easily get your arms over your head, and your stuck with it over your head, and then your claustrophobia kicks in. Love your rants, they almost always hit home. Enjoy your coffee!☕

True story about the annoying removable pads… I need them (bigger chested) but every time I wash I have to spend a half hour putting them back in place!!!! So I decided to sew the darn things in place permanently….it helps and I recommend doing it to save time in the long run.
I *hate* removable pads. And lots of times they are too small or weirdly shaped (or will become wrinkled/mishapen and look weird in the bra). I don't get it. It doesn't provide any support (I get that it's "shaping" and nip coverage though...) but geez, if I want a bra with padding, I want that padding to be SUPPORTIVE and sewn in😒. Also what am I supposed to do with all these errant pads? Cat toys? I agree about the beans, too. I've started buying cheaper brand coffee, and the ground stuff tastes worse than the whole bean (of the same brand). Totally worth grinding them.
Dermatologists are also to blame for only wanting to see cosmetic cases. It takes 6 months to get a medical appointment. And I live in An area teaming with doctors.
Dr. Day - thank you for this video. I am currently going through a TERRIBLE issue and it is coming out in rashes on my skin. I have been to many different doctors and so far, no one can figure it out! Anytime I’ve been to a doctor. I’ve been able to get a clear diagnosis and treatment until now until the problem has been my skin dermatologist are so important and underrated.
Accessing a dermatologist in Canada is difficult as well. You can’t just make your own appointment you have to go to a GP first who may or may not refer you to a dermatologist and if you do convince them to give you a referral it can take months before you even get an appointment.
Lol 100% agree about the sports bras, and for that matter swimsuit tops. I always remove the pads first thing. They don't do functionally from a security standpoint.

I can’t believe you guys are struggling with that lol. Grab a needle and do some simple stitches on them and you won’t have to deal with that again 😊

Thank you Dr. Dray! I am an RN and have over a decade of care management (ED and outpatient). I am a huge advocate in promoting education on appropriate utilization of healthcare resources and preventative care. @@georgiafrye2524 I can see that being challenging especially with the multiple layers of obstacles. Hopefully as we see more advancement in technology it will close that care gap. Until then, I am grateful for channels like this.
Contact dermatitis was a huge problem for me for many years. Figuring out ingredients in all products, not just cosmetics made a big difference.
My toxic habit is trying and buying new skincare when I've already found skincare that works for me 🤭

My partner just told me "I don't know why you bought a new cleanser when you love the one we have now" and I responded so hurt "why can't you just be happy that I'm excited to try a new cleanser when this one is done!?" Haha he felt bad but low key he's right

I love the videos where you go through you stash and donate to women's shelters.
Me too. Life the decluttering videos. But they give me anxiety because I have too much to declitter 😅
Yes Dr.Dray!! I went to my doctor three times and not getting answers before going to the dermatologist. Derm took the time to test and find out I had cutaneous lupus. I would also love a video going over cutaneous lupus!
Absolutely agree with the pads situation, I feel betrayed and bad about throwing them away.
They are frustrating
I keep them for other uses
If you want to keep them because the fabric is too thin without them, I recommend just sewing them in place so they don't move around. Prevents all of the crumpling. Just a few discrete stitches will help immensely.
They are great sweat absorbers when it's really hot or you're working out. That's what I use them for.
@@syp123 what other uses? 🤔

So lucky. I’m in Canada (Quebec) and was waiting for over a year, no hope to even see a dermatologist in 5-10 years at this point 😭
@@mikenoneofyourbusiness7122Can you see one if you pay cash for that office visit ? Private pay should make things go faster, right ?
True, a full body check is recommended once a year to screen for suspicious leasions, insurance should be covering that.
You are just the best. A beautiful human being, inside + out. Love finding you here every day!!! ❤
So FUNNY! So HELPFUL! Our Dr. Dray making our day as a best friend.
I always love a good rant. You’ve also tuned me on to Tuscany Candles. They’re great.
Everything you are saying about pads (which I like) and tags 🤣 is soooo true. I feel validated 🤣🤣🤣 have a great Saturday! 💙💙
They are annoying
I actually really appreciate those pads in sports bras because I have nip visibility problems lol. But I agree, it takes forever to place them back in properly after laundry
I use the Paula's Choice BHA liquid behind my ears once in a while. I figure it keeps that space clear of anything mysterious growing back there.
The rant at the beginning sends me lol i love it
Two things: for those bra pads, before throwing the bras into the wash, put a safety pin through each pad and they won’t budge. The orchids like to be ignored and admired from afar. Put a 12-hour light on them and water them as recommended. They will do well in that type of care.
Good tip
Great tips for bras and orchids!
Dr. Dray,
I highly recommended you the Under Armor Sport Bra.
All the Under Armour sports bras I’ve looked at on the UA website contain removable breast pads. 👎
Dr Dray YES !!... those sport bras pads are so annoying. The first thing that a do is take them off.
Thank you Dr. Dray/Anderea for your words of encouragement for those of us who are not sure what to do about our skin concerns.
Electric grinders birn coffee. Unless you’re grinding it manually, no need to waste time and $.
I love that she’s real, simple & humble. A lot of dermatologists are bougie & flashy & let’s not forget… PRETENTIOUS 😂

You are on a roll today, love it. I hope to see you in and around Rice Village and I will definitely say "hello".

Those plates are Limoges , one of the best brand of china/porcelain. Those are. Not cheap. They are beautiful 🤩
Some feel like they're constantly getting hit on
Why can’t the be washable and be sewn in? Problem solved!
There ARE sport bras that have them swen in though. Or there are sport bras that just make the boobie cover parte more thiccccc instead of using the pad.
You are soooo funny today! Glad I checked in.😊

Orchid tip from previous orchid killer!! Water every 10 days by taking out of their pot and standing in the sink. Pour over body temperature water and allow it to run through then just leave the pot there to drain for 10 minutes. I also spritz the whole plant with a mist of water at the same time.
If they are still green: no need of watering
Rule 2: place them near a window, but never in direct sun. North or South direction has no importance, the most important is that it needs light+++, so nearby a window is ideal. A tiny amount of fertilizer is OK every 2 weeks (a quarter of the recommended dose of a casual fertilizer, no need to buy expensive fertilizer for orchids)
Rule 3: if you have doubt about watering (shall i weater it or not?), preferably do not water, phalaenopsis can bear dryness but overwatering can cause root rot and kill it
Rule 4: when flowering is finished, cut the flower stalks 2 cm from the base.the plant then enters the growth phase. Cutting the flower stalk (which consumes a lot of energy for the plant) will allow the plant to grow (leave growth)
Rule 5: avoid cold air current (when you open the window to ventilate the room)
Rule 6: repot the plant after 1 year after the purchase.
Yay! LOVE waking up to a new vlog! ( & big shoutout to the lil pre-shopping car rant! You always keep it real) 🤍
Omg I’m laughing so hard about your sports bra comments. Who among us haven’t said all that! 😂
Love the rants here. Qr codes at restaurants drive me crazy. Also, why does every piece of clothing require 20 tags?
Strappy top situation reminding me of when I try to take off wrap style rompers, like I feel like I'm gonna dislocate a shoulder there. Also when those straps do a racerback behind and if you have a bigger chest, straps start to sink in the skin, pulls on neck.. Ughhh... I can keep this rant train going 🚆
😂 Got to agree with you about all the garment gripes. Have a great weekend!
We have 4 orchids in the house, and they actually aren't that high maintenance. Just give them orchid feed once a week, make sure they're watered, and in a place that gets sunlight. Ours have all bloomed multiple times, and are growing.
Happy Saturday Dr. Dray, Everyone! 😊🌫

True story about the annoying removable pads… I need them (bigger chested) but every time I wash I have to spend a half hour putting them back in place!!!!
So I decided to sew the darn things in place permanently….it helps and I recommend doing it to save time in the long run.
I thought about doing that too
I *hate* removable pads.
The removable pad rant needs to be shouted from the rooftops on replay until something gets done!!
Thank you Dr.Dray! Your message inspires us so much.

Dr. Day - thank you for this video. I am currently going through a TERRIBLE issue and it is coming out in rashes on my skin.
I live in Toronto. I have been going to Derms since I was a teenager. I now have to go private, but I have insurance.
Lol 100% agree about the sports bras, and for that matter swimsuit tops. I always remove the pads first thing. They don't do functionally from a security standpoint.
