    You guys should make a shirt on the mythical store that perfectly fits Rhett and sell it as the “tall guy shirt”

      If it was affordable premium I'd buy a few if they weren't cheesy. While he's at it come out with some tall guy hair care products

    I'm so glad they mentioned the thing about people anticipating social anxiety after not being in crowds for so long, I've always had social anxiety and exposure was a big part of a process I was working on to get out of it. I'm so used to barely seeing people at all now, and when I do see them I have a mask on so it's like I get to hide a little bit, so I'm a little worried about what it will be like when things are back to normal, but anyone out there who feels the same way, were in it together and it's not just you!

    • @thewalkingne3d432
      @thewalkingne3d432 3 года назад +6

      Also I think a lot of people that didn't have social anxiety, will once/if the masks are gone. As someone with social anxiety, when the masks go I will definitely have a harder time than initially.

      Break that habit, how will hiding strengthen who you really are, im totally introverted and socially awkward but its easy to see how this changes people, do it responsibly but don't use it as a crutch

    -The first minute, Links mispoken intro "Welcome to Ear Biscuts The LIFE LONG Podcast where...."
    [Bursts of laughter from both]
    -The last minute Rhett says,
    "once a week, let us be a part of your life, well, pretty much every day, there's this 'other' show- every day, there's a lot of content. "
    "Let's us take over your life" (Link)

    On the treadmill watching. Came off to say: consult a stylist, Rhett. Someone who works with or has worked with tall men. This person would be able to point you in the direction of the right brands for you. Those that will fit your body the way you want. You could also figure out the proper size after shrinkage and get a seamstress to make t-shirts tailored exactly for you.

    Similar to wearing the same thing every day, meal prepping or just deciding to eat the same thing every day is something that helps me stave off decision fatigue. Corresponding specific foods for specific days of the week works, too (ex. Taco Tuesday, fish Friday, sushi Saturday, etc)

    Glad you brought up the anxiety about re-entering society at large. I’ve found a schedule that actually works for me and our family and I know that’s going away. Obligations to people based on social interaction went away during all this and I know that will come back. I haven’t gained the quarantine 15 but my health habits that I was able to establish I know are going to be challenged. On the bright side quarantine has given me the space to actually learn to love myself so maybe that change will supersede these other things that come with social interaction 🥸

    The "too many decisions" one reminded me of the continuity reset. There's a thing where people pack a suitcase with 100% unused items, go to a place they've never been before, and rent an apartment for just one month, not using any phone or internet, avoiding the news. It like totally resets your perception of your own life... and when you return, you're thinking about things you used to take for granted.

    Doing something where you can set your body on autopilot frees up your mind.
    In documentary film making there's this trick to get "regular" people to act natural in front of the camera, and it's to have your subject do something they do every day while they're being interviewed. That's why you see many scenes being filmed in kitchens when they do the dishes or something like that.

    Why I watch or listen to ear biscuits is because its good back ground noise and can help with little loneliness especially in covid times. Normally multi task while listening, like said cleaning/exercising/or playing video game that requires little attention.
    Main reason come back is conversations have reminds me of that one friend who asks a weird question. Most of time people think its stupid and ignore them but every so often get that question that peaks your interest. You guys are funny but fairly smart for youtube and talk about random topics that truthfully never really thought about myself. The good is that it makes me ponder and looking things up later that interest me. On other hand goes back to the weird friend that every once in awhile get that question that you just give friendly smile pretending to care but really not that interesting. Lucky for me it tends to be more of the former rather than the latetr.

    Rhett - If you're serious about starting a "Daily Uniform" I highly recommend a company called Pistol Lake. They're LA based and have been my go-to over the last few years. I have 8 of their long sleeve henleys (among many other articles of their clothing), in different colors, and they have been cycled through every day for the last 4 years and still feel new. No shrinkage, fit is amazing (athletic, but not super tight), and the color offerings are great. I'm 6' and about 155 lbs and they are long enough but not boxy or unflattering. I know your pain with the weird body type, so I think they are definitely worth a shot. Hope this helps you commit to the decision to pare down your wardrobe, because it's been one of the best things I've done for myself. Good luck!

I had a spinal fusion surgery (like Links daughter) about 1 and a half years ago. I still have back pain but I had back pain from before the surgery and the doctors say that the pain is not related to the surgery. Any information you could give about your journey of solving your back pain would be great.

    Related to the part where it seems like you solved problem when you're doing something else unrelated, my therapist mentionned something about the "unconcious" part of the brain that is responsible for processing information as a possible reason. So while you're working on something consciously, you're on the input process of the brain and not the "processing" part. That's why it might seems like "solution" comes at the unexpected times like walking or even showering.i think there are some preliminary research on this.

      Totally! I live where it gets down to -40 and up to 95 degrees, and humid. I’d never feel cold in CA.

    The anecdote Rhett gives about Einstein seems to me more in like with Salvador Dali, who would hold a spoon above a plate and fall asleep, using the noise to wake him up to maintain a state between awareness and dreams

    It’s difficult for you to digest vegetables because your digestion is majoratively down to gut flora.
    it’s micro biome, and if you’ve fed your micro biome meat and dairy your entire life, a lot of this biome is bacteria that excels in breaking down those foods;
    Leaving less space for gut flora that excel in breaking down vegetables.
    Plenty of peer reviewed, meta analysis and various other studies out there that all but prove this....

    Salvador Dali would wake himself up in the middle of the night to paint his paintings. It was in his state of in-between awake and sleep that he drew his inspiration. If you haven't seen his artwork I highly recommend checking it out!

    Try the shirts from Cuts *not a sponsor*, they make plain shirts of pretty cool colors that don't shrink after you wash them; you could try the elongated ones. They just fit incredibly good; I got four of them last month. ;)
