Here's a strange scenario for you: when my boyfriend (of 11 yrs) and I got together, he asked me what my birthday was, 9/17/81. He started FREAKING OUT, ASKING IF I WAS LYING, all that! I said, why would I lie about my birthday?! He then told me his most current ex bday is 9/17/77, and the ex before that bday was 9/17/79. Lol! I guess he likes women born on September 17th! Very strange, but at least we were all born on different years!

My boyfriend (of almost 13 years) and I started dating on September 17th so that's our technical "anniversary"! 🤗
My ex also had 2 other ex girlfriends with the same birthday! He reacted the same when I told him.

A couple years ago I was in another state for my cousins wedding for the weekend with my mom and my brother. In the morning as we were getting in the car to head home we all agreed to stop at Dunkin' Donuts. Before we got on the highway we made a super last minute decision to stop at a lil diner we saw instead (it was so small we barely saw it and had to turn the car around). One of the few people working there recognized me from my art instagram that I had just started around that time. And not only was she one of the couple hundred followers I had at the time but she was one of the few people that I'd ever sold my art to. I was vvv tired and hung over from the wedding and it just felt like a really weird dream. It'd be one thing if it was in my hometown and someone just recognized me from insta, but it was in a whole different state in a tiny random town I'd never heard of and we weren't even gonna stop at that restaurant and probably less than 10 people outside of my town had bought my art at the time, and like I know it's not super significant but the level of coincidence on every level is still a lil mind blowing for me.

Could be urban myth, could be true, I don't know, I heard this one years ago. A person was walking past a payphone which started ringing, and she picked it up. On the other end of the line was her boss asking her a question about some work related matter. Turns out that he had tapped in her payroll number instead of her phone number and it happened to correspond to the payphone she was walking past.
Payphones can't receive calls though?
@@haydenfowler8297 this was way back before mobile phones were a big thing. All payphone could take incoming calls, at least in the UK.
@@jolbags Most payphones were designed so they couldn't receive calls. You can look it up. They've even used this trope in movies to show what's happening isn't real.
Although, I will say if you say it's a UK thing then its definitely more likely as I know in the U.S the majority of payphones can't receive calls.

My grandmother and her twin brothers became orphans at a very young age. Unfortunately, they all got adopted by different people. Fast forward 20 years to WW2, each twin had been drafted into the navy and they were put on the same ship. When they were on the deck one day, they saw each other and realized that they were identical twins. They then found my grandma through adoption records and they all reunited. They stayed very close until they died of old age.

There's this indie-folk band I recently got into called Houndmouth. I was heading to an art festival over in Blowing Rock, NC and it had only been about a week since I discovered their music. It just so happened that, at the festival, there was a street performer playing one of Houndmouth's song on guitar. I still regret not having a few spare dollars to give the guy since it was such an amazing moment.
I had 2 coincidences about my new house:
1.) I had dreamt a moment of me and my family celebrating my sister's birthday in a random home I had never seen. 2 years later, it was our new home, and everything that happened in my dream happened in reality. I was freaking out when it happened.
2.) When I was moving, I was in a moving truck with my dad and friend, and as we were leaving, the radio was playing "I Had the Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing, and I was amazed because it sounded so perfect that we were leaving our old house with that song, and then when we reached our NEW house, the radio was playing "You're the One That I Want Want" from Grease. Me, my dad, and my friend were absolutely freaking OUT lol. We sang the whole time.
(BTW: The dream thing wasn't the first time it had happened. I have dreamt of something and then had it happen multiple times before.)

I've got a weird story to tell. I hope you guys actually read this. So I am driving home from traveling for work. I am listening to this podcast and meeting my GF at her place for dinner. I listen all the way through despite you guys attempting to discourage me at the start lol. I get to the recommendation - I love these types of shows and never heard of this. I arrive at my destination and we throw the show on - I don't even select the episode and think I am starting S1E1 but I think Netflix starts you on the most recent season by default? Anyways, I am unknowingly watching exactly the episode you are recommending. I get about 5 - 10 minutes in and realize this is close to my home/where I grew up and the show flashes an image of the man who was murdered. I don't recognize him from any of the previous images but this particular image had significant resemblance/familiarity. I am absolutely taken a back and say, "I knew him, he went to my highschool". I jumped on facebook to verify this - and sure enough my friends are all linked to a memorial page for him and one of my good friends even dated his brother.
He was a very nice guy and you could tell he was troubled in some sort of way. He was in the punk kids clique. He transferred from somewhere, IIRC. I also think he told me he was drunk at school at times. Anyways, very nice guy, wouldn't harm a fly and I was sorry to see this. Rest in peace.

My mom and I have the exact same sense of humor. One day we were riding in my dad’s truck, and he made a VERY sharp turn. In perfect unison, my mom and I yelled “MY UTERUS FELL OUT!”

On my first date with my boyfriend, we had lot's of coincidences, one was that we talked about our favourite paintings then 10 minutes later a woman opened her umbrella and it was my favourite painting Monets Coquelicots!!

Mine would be that my husband and I had the same group of friends for years and he would come to my work for training and we had never met. Then when I decided to buy a home my realtor insisted on me meeting his friend. My now husband. It's awesome we have the same friends but we always are like why didn't you all ever introduce us?! Haha
When I was a child, about 9, we were getting ready as a family to go on a trip to where my grandparents moved and renovated an old farm house. We never saw pictures or knew anything other than they retired to Oregon and renovated an old farm house. I kept have nightmares leading up to the trip about the house trapping us inside. Someone told my mom I should draw the house to process the fear. A week or two later my entire family freaked out as we pulled up to their old farmhouse and it was the same house I drew, right down to the paint colors. I refused to go in the house and stayed on the porch until it was dark and my mom made me go inside. It never trapped us and we had a ton of fun but the drawing was always bizarre.
It's so cool that they hire fans. Very mythical, guys.
They hired her based on her qualifications and without knowing that she was a fan. I imagine they don't want to risk hiring groupie or stalker types. Some hires are likely people who are recommended to them by current employees.

The morbid yet most fascinating coincidence that's probably ever happened to me is that when i was 7 years old I had a dream i woke up next to my mom and her entire face was bloody and torn off. Literally one week later she died. I also see the same numbers often and other random universe humor that i can only find myself amused by at times
Aww, that must have been so hard for you at 7 years old. I just lost my Mom two weeks ago, but Im in my 40s. Thanks for sharing that story and sorry for your loss.
I remember seeing this tweet and thinking I didn't have any coincidences to share, but I actually do. So, my parents grew up in different towns, but the towns are next to each other. They're not big towns, but they're big enough to where you probably don't know everyone but gossip does travel fast. So, my dad was a kid who never stayed home. He would leave the house everyday and go hang out with his friends and rode his bike all over the area I live in with his friends. There was this one road he and his friends oftentimes didn't like riding their bikes down (but did a lot) because they always had to shift into pedaling as fast as they could because the dogs at one of the houses would case after them. Who lived at this house? My mom. My dad had no idea who lived there until they started dating and realized that she was the person who had dogs that would chase after him and his friends while they were riding their bikes to a completely different town.

There are many wild horses between Beaufort, NC and Cape Lookout, NC on the islands. The Shackleford ponies. They are maintained by the state. You can take a boat or ferry to Cape Lookout and see the horses up close. They are really beautiful!
My husband and I have been together 11+ years and we experience the same thing as in the first situation. I tell him "get out of my mind" all the time lol

I was listening to this podcast today, and it reminded me of a coincidence of mine. The town I grew up in, in Canada is the town my husbands family moved to when we was 14 from England. He’s a few years older than me and was a year ahead in school so although we went to the same school, it was at different times. Anyways, he worked at a local grocery store I frequently shopped at, I worked at the local coffee shop, we had multiple mutual friends, but NEVER met each other until multiple years after I graduated high school and we met online. Through talking about things we found out all these coincidences. Also his brothers wife lived in the same house I used to live in a few years before my family moved into it.
I’m sure there’s some science behind it, but my husband and I almost always burp at the same time. Freaks me out.

Coincidence or not but they have known each other for exactly the same amount of time.
A coincidence I had the other day was I was walking into the post office to check my mail box, and I believe there's over five hundred mail boxes at this post office. I noticed a lady was walked towards the same area. She saw me then stopped and waited for me to check my mail first. I spend a couple seconds jingling my keys trying to pry this mail box open to make it quick to get out of her way and it is not budging. I hear her laugh and say "Excuse me, that's my mail box you're trying to open." I looked at her, looked at the box, then back at her then we burst out laughing. I was one box below hers. I'm glad she was a good sport.

Doubt this will ever be seen, but The wildest coincidence that has ever happened in my life is that I made a friend in camp in Tennessee when I was 10. 4 hours from where I lived. I met the same guy 12 years later when I was 20, online (through Xbox Live in Halo with tens of thousands of people) and we were talking about camp months after being friends and found out we were in the same camp as kids.
Telepathy DEFINITELY exists. It's even possible with animals.

It’s insane that I remember the coincidence of the ballon and the two girls who met up because of it. That video was ages ago.
same! i remember when it first came out-
I met my wife in my first year of college. We dated for about 2 or 3 months and had gotten to know each other pretty well. Was telling her stories about my friends from high school, etc. One day I was scrolling through Facebook on my phone and showed her a picture of my best friend from high school, who I had told multiple stories about and mentioned that they would really get along. She sees the picture and is like "You've got to be kidding me". Turns out, she's already met my friend multiple times! And in fact my friend was HER best friend's current roommate at a different university. And FYI the freshmen roommate assignments were random and we lived multiple states away from each other, so this was not like a small town "everybody knows everybody thing".
Not quite on the level of this mythical balloon story, but I have to say I thought it was pretty amazing.
In 7th grade, my friend at the time invited me to her bat mitzvah. 6 years later, in college, in a different state, I meet my now best friend. I sent her a friend request on Facebook. We had 1 friend in common: bat mitzah girl (apparently they had gone to summer camp together many times and were good friends). Best part of the story: we were BOTH at that bat mitzvah. We never saw each other, never were introduced, never spoke to each other.
Thank goodness fate brought us back together. I can't imagine life without her
I did that "Dreamng of future" when I was younger - always useless things like standing in a specific spot seeing some clouds in a specific order, or cars go by. Never when I dropped things, got hurt or made mistakes just... Here is a random image from the future that isn't useful in the slightest; it stopped somewhere after I turned 35.

craziest coincidence i ever had was after a evening of drinking beers and playing guitar hero with friends, we decided to chill out and watch a movie, 10 Things I Hate about you happened to be on so we watched that. about halfway through the movie i pointed at Heath Ledger and said "didn't he die?" everyone looked at me like no he's still very much alive. then in the morning my phone was blown up with "holy shit Heath Ledger died last night." texts and voicemails.

I was in Paris, waiting for a Metro train with some other people from my high school. All of a sudden a guy from our high school, who was visiting Paris with his family, walked up to us. He was taking the same train.

Coincidences happen all the time, but we're only focused on those of which we are aware of, first of all, the number of which is very much lower. And even then we only really 'care' about those that we would find meaningful or ironic . We are biased, basically :)
When I moved to a new town in 5th grade I sat behind a girl and in a funny class photo she was hiding behind me. After 5th grade I didn't have any classes with her again 13 years later scrolling through fb somebody shared that picture and I commented on it then I get a dm's from that girl and now we've been married for 9 years
Also, coolest one to happen... when I was a teenager I went to a Metallica concert in Atlantic City, NJ. Skip ahead nearly ten years I’m on an app and randomly got matched to this guy. We start talking, Metallica comes up, he says he also went to that concert, and I send him a photo I took of one of the guys in the band. Suddenly he starts freaking out and goes “I was in that same tent when he was there!”. We both look at our photos and realize he’s in multiple of my photos, and I’m I’m one of his, standing damn near right next to each other. Mind you he lived in Texas and I lived in Maryland.
how about this coincidence! I started watching this episode last night in the living room on my TV. Today I'm finishing it up while I get some work done on my PC in my bedroom. I look at the date to see when this came out. One year ago to the day. (3/14/2022)

here's a coincidence. i paused the video, went out of the room and somehow the lionel richie vinyl they made popped up in my head. went back to unpause, and then these two started talking about their all night long lionel richie video they made years back
In my dream my grandfather died and the day after, he actually had died, the result was that I went thru the 5 stages of grief the same day.
I create intuitive paintings, and have had many synchronicities revolve around my art. I love it when that happens...makes me feel like I'm on the right path in life...or like I'm getting some sort of glimpse into the mysteries of life (not that I understand the meaning, but I just enjoy the feeling).
I workcat a tire shop an some really really nice gentleman lost a wheel on his big dodge 2500, right in front of our shop! Helped him for freeskiis and he brought us some coffee! I felt so bad but he was just teaching some kids mechanics and they 'torqued' it LOL

My ex boyfriend and I had parents that were born on the same days. His dad was born the same day as my mum and my mum was born the same day as his dad. That was weird.
Now if y'all coulda had a baby and purposely conceived it in a way that it was born on that same day... now that'd be impressive.

Here's my greatest coincidence. My mother is the first person of her age 29 at the time and the 2nd person in Canada to ever have had open heart surgery in 1969. I was telling this to someone in the lunchroom of where I worked. Another employee heard me telling it and said you're not going to believe this but my dad was the first person he was 6 years old!!!! I never knew this person even from work. This blew our minds😱
In Episode 247, Rhett talks about warning label on the bag of his pure psyllium husk supplement. Coincidentally, I was sipping on exactly that supplement at the same time, having never heard that episode before. As soon as he said 'fiber supplement', I thought "Holy shit.". Then when he says natural 100% psyllium husk, I'm absolutely shocked. I remembered this episode that I heard already, and just thought I'd come mention this little (yet significant to me) coincidence.

My baby sister passed away on 4/27/16, a month before I graduated high school (5/27/16). The amount of kids that graduated that year from my school was exactly 427 (4/27). I still think it was a nice little coincidence, especially since I only went to the ceremony in her memory.
I absolutely love these podcasts gives me something to think about when I'm bored and mindlessly playing on my phone

The last serendipitous moment I remember was I was watching a movie my friend stopped by we left and went to the gas station came back and we were singing Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting as we were walking up to the door, we open the door and the movie started playing the song at that exact moment.
I think it's a crazy coincidence that last night I was watching the old GMMs where Link talked about pulling into the police station, and Rhett talked about his semi-shared nightmare with his wife, and both stories were referenced today in this #earbiscuits episode about coincidences 🤷♀️

Heard an add today on the radio for Ear Biscuits which got me very happy and wanting for more episodes
When I was visiting New York, my cousin and I went to go put our names into the ticket lottery at the theatre that hosts Wicked on broadway. We won. Right in front of us at the show, were these two women who had also won the lottery, so we got to talking. Four days later, at the airport, the two women and I were on the same flight to Texas. The biggest coincidence I had in my life:
I met a dude at my first day of university. Around 3 days later I had to go to the customs office in Germany, where packages from the USA sometimes go when they want to open it before you can have it etc...
And that same dude was there, also waiting. For the same package. (He was the only other person there)
We apparently ordered the same thing (some anime merch box from the us), that we both ordered for the first time ever a few weeks earlier, then decided to go to the customs office on the same day (I even decided to postpone it a little, as I was too lazy), at the same freaking time. There are also multiple customs offices where I live (Berlin, so a pretty big city)... That was also the first time we had to go to the customs office, for me and him.
Then we decided to both wear the same t-shirt that was in the anime box on the next university day and people were confused. xD
That was my biggest "WTF" moment. Ever.
Not a happy coincidence story but, my ex was on his way home from Sturgis alone at night. Unfortunately, he hit a pothole and died on impact. A close friend of his had a weird gut feeling. He decided to call my ex, some random trucker that happened to drive by finds my ex and answers his phone telling him about the accident. What made this incredible is, my ex's phone was found completely smashed but when the trucker finds him, my ex's friend's call goes through. The trucker even mentioned to his friend how lucky my ex was because the road they were on had no traffic going through. If the trucker hadn't been there, who knows how long before my ex was found.
