This technolgy is so good for someone who is a 'manual head' but due to age, knees going out of warranty, traffic etc have to opt for automatic. I for one drive an automatic for daily journey but crave badly for manual on weekend trips outside city. If finances permitted I would keep an automatic for city and manual for highways. But guess imt is best of both worlds!

Can you tell, sometimes on steep slopes after engaging the 1st gear you have to rev hard for the car to pick up, is iMT able to do that? @@blue280485 I stay in Hyderabad where there is heavy traffic...if I start driving the car in 1st gear there is no need to change as we can't go more than 30 kmph in peak traffic hours. So it is same as automatic and on highway you don't have to change the gears much anyway..so my requirement of automatic convenience is fulfilled. Actually I want to buy a DCT but its out of my budget and Imt is reasonable priced. Hope this answers your question.

They have improved the AMT a Lot I tried its way better than before, if I may suggest, kindly test drive Nexon 2020 AMT and Venue iMT on the same day and then make your final decision. Hi, I have purchased KIA Seltos HTK IMT Diesel, it was delivered 3 weeks back. Existing IMT Users, Anyone faced issues with creep/crawl functionality in first gear in IMT gearbox, when I am stuck at traffic signals, and roads has small slopes like 5 degrees or 10 degrees, then in first gear, the creep/crawl functionality does not work as expected, my car rolls backwards slightly and I have to manually press accelerator ASAP to avoid further rollback. On fully plain road, creep/crawl in first gear works without rollback, but feels underpowered. But if there is very very small slope like 5 to 10 degrees , crawl does not work as expected. Same thing happens for reverse gear, if there is 5-10 degrees slope, car moves forward, and i have to press accelerator ASAP to avoid movement ahead. FYI , in my opinion this is not Hill assist issue, hill assist feature working fine on steep slopes in hilly roads, mall ramps. The car holds for 2-3 seconds and enough time to move ahead without rollback.
For a car without hill hold. Can you apply a bit of acceleration while holding the brake and then release brake to avoid roll back? Something like a heel toe method in manual. Or is handbrake necessary?
Is IMT reliable ? Since it works on sensors & acctuaters ? Clutch life ? Seems like no reviewers wants to answer this question or maybe don't have an answer ?

Why I am asking this is like in ertiga xl6 there is hybrid battery below the passenger side seat, this if fails in warranty period will cost you NIL, but out of warranty it cost @47000 approx. And thats not peanuts. Awaiting your clarification. Thanks
