How does iMT technology actually work Transmission Control Unit receives signal from Transmission Gear Shift Lever Intention Sensor, indicating driver’s desire to change gears. Transmission Control Unit sends signal to engage Hydraulic Actuator forming Hydraulic Pressure. Hydraulic Pressure is then sent to Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) through Clutch Tube. Concentric Slave Cylinder uses this pressure to control the clutch and pressure plate, thereby engaging and disengaging the clutch. Driver is able to seamlessly shift gears without the need to mechanically operate clutch pedal.
When it comes to changing the gears do we need to press the brake pedal ? Do we need to take our foot out of the accelerator...you could have shown your foot movement below along with the upper portion of the video and is it reliable in steep hills
Bro no need to press brakes when you are already moving in 1st gear . yes you can change gear when pressing the accelerator but it has chances of damaging the engine and transmission so I prefer to not press it
Like many people I also have the habit of keeping my left hand continuously on the gear lever. So that means the clutch in IMT will also remain engaged because of this habit and damage it ?? Am I correct or the clutch is engaged only when it senses a gear change movement in which case just keeping your hand on the lever will not engage the clutch
Yes it does roll back. To counter that without hill hold, just put your car in 1st gear,release your clutch(MT), gently accelerate, After these 3 steps you will feel your car wants to move forward and then finally release the handbrake...
This technology will spoil your driving skills as it will create a bad habit of not using the clutch. After using this car if you try to drive a normal manual car (for e.g. a friends car), there is high chance of forgetting to press the clutch and you may end up damaging the manual car. Fully automatic transmission will not create this problem.
Can u keep hands on gear all the time, as I have that habit. I heard its gear knob has sensors for clutch that means I have to remove my hand from gear knob after changing gear?

jab puri Tarah car ruk jaati hai to full clutch engage. slow speed pe slip starts so that aapko ache acceleration mile. We agree though that clutch life might come down slightly but its worth it :)

For wheel spin, have you tried brake torque launch in 1st gear ? it is possible with proper timing with releasing brake paddle above 2500 rpm.

u can keep the hand - just dont put load / effort on the gear lever else sensors come to know - dont try pushing it ahead or back - thats it :)
