I am using HONDA CVT model and I would differ for his opinion on cvt transmission. It gives me good thrust compared to AMT during overtake or to gain high speed. I feel more confident in overtaking in CVT compared to AMT.
Honda CVT is unbelievably sporty and it packs so much punch without feeling gear change. Nothing comes closer to it. The revv also sounds like a sports car.
Honda CVT has big rubber band effect, no confidence in quick overtake, even AMT feels better in quick overtake, the slight jerk many times not even recognised.

I am satisfied with my purchase but there is a 2nd thought which keep coming in to my mind that have I done a mistake by buying MT rather than AT. imt is best for offroading and hilly areas. you have full control without having to press clutch and remaining in control in with which gear you want to be in.
One question,I would like to ask... If there is bumper to bumper traffic in hilly areas ,then which gear will perform better...I a fully loaded car stopping and starting at every 1 metres ...which gear box u prefer?
@@mohandasanandan6147 Manual is the best. I have not used CVT or DCT or TC. But used AMT. I have interacted with people who have high end cars like MG.... etc. and they use only MT. The important thing is you should service your car regularly as per the manufacturer's instruction WITH authorized Service Centers ONLY. Usually once a year up to 5 yrs and thereafter every 6 months. This will ensure you have no trouble starting your vehicle and everything is smooth. When this is the case, it does not matter whether u r in traffic on a hilly road (climb). Your vehicle will work like a charm - u can start and move comfortably on 1st gear on a very slow moving traffic. It also depends on the fuel used. If something like shell petrol is used or other high octane fuel (without too much ethanol blending), then everything is smooth. It is not just one factor but sum total of all this. It also depends on whose gear box you have and how it is tuned and installed. Generally, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, ...etc. have excellent products (engine, transmission, gear box, ...etc.).
Hi everyone!. I have a Benz A170, W169, year 2005 (Automatic), still running and serviced regularly. The issue with the car presently, is that when starting (fresh from rest), the transmission is somewhat 'choked' and the drive reduced. The indication then is 'Transmission..'. But, once the engine is turned off (obviously) and started anew , after a few minutes, everything works properly. When 'warm', car is ok. Recently, this has happened more than once during the same journey, after 'fresh' start. Again, after turn-off and turned back on after a few minutes, it worked good! The fluid level is ok too. Note that this only happens after 'cold' start. System hot - no problem. If anyone could comment and share similar experience, it will enable me to understand the issue, please. Many thanks!!!

@@gskillua Partially correct. Extreme Top end cars costing above 3-4 crores always use Torque Converter and not DCT. DCT is somewhere for the upper mid range cars and for performance oriented cars. The moment you step into luxury, it's TC.
