GeekXplained : Some numbers to cement some ideas we discussed in the First. Hope this helps. 1) The Exter looks taller than it feels: Height: 1631mm vs 1615 for Punch. But it doesn't feel taller than the Tata. Because, without roof rails the Exter's height is: a) 1598mm on 15” wheels b) 1585 for 14” wheels Sure, the Punch also has roof rails but they are much lower. 2) Sluggish engine Look at the max speeds in the first three gears: 1st - 48kmph, 2nd - 88kmph, 3rd - 132kmph. Yes an indicated 132kmph in 3rd gear! No imagine accelerating in a gear - which explains why the engine feels dull - because it will rev up slowly. 3) Highway Gearing Here are the engine rpms at 50kmph: 2nd - 3700rpm 3rd gear - 2400rpm (1300rpm lower) 4th gear - 1700rpm (1300rpm lower) 5th gear 50 1300rpm (400rpm lower) So, for a given speed the 5th gear doesn’t rev much lower than the 4th gear. Hence fuel efficiency won’t be dramatically better when cruising on the highway. Let me know what you think!

Driven Hyundai i20 Active for 2.75 lakh kms and exchanged it for Tiago NRG XZ in Nov 2022. TATA NRG is every bit comparable to i20 Active and than some more, saftey mileage and lower cost of ownership. In love with TATA now. 🤟
I did extensive research and took multiple test rides with Punch Altroz and NRG from the Tata family. I did not like the overall feel of Punch. It was underpowered when compared to NRG. Also, the mileage figures of NRG are way superior to those of Punch thanks to its aerodynamic body compared to Punch's boxy shape. Punch is good for mileage only if you drive really slowly and under 80 kmph. I needed a car for major highway usage and some offroad too for reaching work sites. And at speeds of 100-110 at NH44, NRG gives me 18-20 kmpl, tank to tank; at speeds of 80-85, it gives 22-24 kmpl; and in Nagpur city, I get 14-15 kmpl. In Punch, we just get a bit more mm's in boot and cabin space, with a 5-star safety rating and mini Harrier looks. I do daily office travel on my TVS NTORQ scooter. Car is primarily for wife and family, so the features we get in top-end variants are very beneficial for a woman driver with a 2-year-old kid. A fully loaded NRG XZ made more sense to me than Punch's second variant at 8 lakh on the road. Also, there is more glass area in Tiago NRG compared to Punch or Altroz. I am 6 ft tall, so I have no problem driving any car, but my wife and other family members are 5ft 5 inches or below, so NRG's wide glass area and seats with height adjustment helps there. After 24000 km in the last 7 months and 4 services done, I am in love with the Tata Tiago NRG. No complaints with the car or TATA service.
ngl the exter is something that is going to be a highly considered option under then 9L brancket for it's starting price because it appeals to the general customer quite a bit
People have to understand that a 5 star crash rated car isn’t gonna save them from all accidents, Even those cars would crumble if one drives rashly and ram into other vehicles. At the same time, there is not actually a driving discipline in our country, one can’t be sure that other drivers on the road will drive sanely. It’s good to have a car that performed well in crash test as that would give the feeling you got a pretty safe car under you. Kudos to Tata for making their cars safer.
This is such a half cooked argument. This implies that a 5 star is no better than a 3 star. Which is just not the case. There was recently a video where a boulder fell on a harrier and people walked out alive out of it. There was a case of an army truck driving over, yes, OVER an XUV 300 and the passengers were unharmed. A 5 star rated car will DEFINITELY keep you safer in MORE situations than a 3 star. If you're refuting this basic statement, then i don't even understand.
The more I’m watching your discussions, the more I’m getting a clarity on what “I” specifically want in my upcoming purchase rather than just take in what’s the best in the market. I generally want to drill down deeper like this when analysing a vehicle(be it for purchase pr just out of love) where I don’t have people with my somewhat decent level(at-least i think so) of technical & intricate exploration, in my circle. It’s those little nuances in your discussions that you mention which make you a completely different channel from what the typical car/bike channel does. Kudos to you guys for discussing things at finer details.
One of the most engaging and apt First Drive/ Ride videos for our times. With all the pre launch and launch photos and videos we have already seen how the cars and bikes look. It is this what we want to listen to. It's also fun how Shumi brings in his own takes on cars. Thank you guys!!
Lovely, lovely review. Used to prefer teambhp for car reviews because they have long articles that make you actually want to sit down and read with a coffee. You guys doing it with videos is just amazing. The short form content tends to miss out on a lot of technicalities as well as emotions. You covered it all and i thank you for it. As a car enthusiast, I thank you for keeping the enthusiasm alive in automotive journalism
Dont waste your time watching any other video on the Exter out there. This duo did a fab job . Kinda like the Nolan category of reviews. The info balanced with the right amount of humour wow could hot have asked for more. Though a long video I never wanted to skip even for a sec. Great job guys. Thanks for keeping it honest. I know all I need to and am not going to watch another dam exter video as I wait for mine perhaps if u make one more on this car 😅
In my opinion Hyundai has studied the indian market well by getting into the segments which normal user needs for a daily purpose but i would also like to see them bringing the global models such as i20N into our indian waters to test the scope of market
26:42 Best explanation on why Maruti Suzuki engines are always fuel efficient. Never have I heard or thought about this before. Consider my mind BLOWN!
Thank you for an indepth review of the Exter. I feel ,1,the better fuel sufficiency of Maruti cars have yo do with the lightness of the cars. 2 .the 3 cylinder engine of Punch is not very refined & the cabin also feels sort of claustrophobic .3 The problem with the C 3 is more with after sales sevice. Please correct me if I am wrong on any of the above points.
For a Maruti Ritz owner, aged 64, done 170000 kms in the Ritz over a 12 year period . Driving around the Mumbai - Pune -Nashik triangle, highway runs accounting for 80% . Driving speeds always being a safe 70-90 kms/hr. Exter promises to be an excellent car for ingress/ egress for aging stiffening bodies. And the price , makes it a winner . EXTER will be according to me Hyundai's biggest success story as they laugh all the way to the bank.
Totally agree with the safety related points. We need safer roads for India, just safer cars won't do much. Even a person walking should feel safe crossing the road. Same for a person on a bike or in a car.
Suggest me 1)The best practical car under 10lakh onroad in kerala 2) best Automatic car with sunroof with good looks and overall safety features 3)As my first car how muh max budget should i consider, currently i set at 10lakh max on road, but my priorities and favourites are above that. Automatic, sunroof, safety, best practical along with good service.
Finally someone spoke about the crash test obsession. Brave brave brave that's all I can say. It's frankly become annoying these days, any car by Hyundai, Kia, MSIL, however good it may be, there's this band of people (read Tata fanbois) hurling abuses at them 'it's unsafe, coffin car, tincan' and what not. I'm not saying it's bad to demand safer cars and higher NCAP ratings, but every conversation these days in the car world revolves around that itself like ugh. Why do we have to treat everything binary? Before no one spoke about safety and stars. Now all we do is talk about that. 0 or 1. And every Hyundai Kia car page has the same comments 'Tata, Mahindra, Tata, Mahindra'. Like fine they have good cars 5 stars great, but please stop saying that everywhere. And if we take Tata as an example, their NCAP rating is their only thing moving them forward I feel. Their showroom and sales experience is terrible. I've heard such horrid stories from friends regarding after sales, service etc. Not the best quality control either. So I feel we need to appreciate each car, each brand for its own and not push just one thing over and over again. And if Hyundai's new gen cars - like this Exter here - do manage a good NCAP rating - it's gonna be knockout punch for sure (pun intended) Sorry for the rant Love your content as always ♥️♥️
Thanks Harsh. No one's arguing that a car that performs better in a crash test is not a better thing to be in. But people who pound the so-many-stars argument often have not taken the time to understand the testing methodology at all. To us, if safety is that crucial a conversation (it is), then we all should be paying a lot more attention not just to _how_ the ratings were achieved, and _who_ did the test, but also to ourselves. Driver error sits at the top of the accident cause factors in almost all countries. The passive safety nets is deployed _because_ the driver made an error! So we're saying preventing jaundice isn't a big deal, but let's have the best possible ratings for jaundice medicines 😊
I like the way you guys play a good cop and a bad cop. its just enormously entertaining at the same time informative and the choice of words are amazing. Kudos loved watching it.
I understand your point on crash test. My father wanted brezza but I got xuv300 for him primarily because of sheer driving experience and safety.Unfortunately it got with an accident on a highway with a truck. Both my parents were wearing seat belts and only my mother (co-driver) experienced mild shock and i can tell you with certainty that if it was a brezza like my parents wanted the results will be a heck of a lot different.
How would you compare the AMT Transmission of Exter with that of Maruti Baleno...?? Which one of them offers the least head nod and the best overall drivability....???
I have driven nexon and baleno amt, felt baleno amt was better smoother and has faster shifts. Even amaze has a good amt but baleno amt is better than others
I had constant smile while the conversation is going on, number of variants, head nod and crash test so many beautiful movements in this episode. The video can be trimmed to actual car and other general topic and that second part becomes it’s own pod cast
Oh.. These guys.. It's just an absolute delight to listen to them.. On you tube... On Spotify.. I'm purchasing nothing of this stuff.. Reviews are not really of any practical use of me.. But still.. There conversation is so engaging and so thorough... So intellectually stimulating. I listen to them while painting.. Just to feel good and be able to work better. Thanks for these videos. ✨
Highly VFM Vehicle.. Top notch features, space, quality, fit and finish for a muscular hatchback 😅 Somehow I get a baby defender vibes from the front.. Even the safety suit looks promising.. The engine refinement is also unbeatable when compared to Punch.. Ride and handling is just fine.. Paired with Hyundai's superb network, service and reliability, this vehicle will surely give a tough fight to the Punch.. The pricing is just the cherry on the cake ❤ However, the only thing which isn't upto my taste is borrowing the interiors from Nios and Aura, they just look too cheap and quirky.. A different dashboard layout could do the job... Overall, a serious option for my family under 10 lakh 😊
So somhow I always just start watching these FDIs thinking, "will just hear them out for 5 mins" and end up watching the whole damn thing. The conversation really hooks you up! Thanks guys!
What an amazing talk. Have never seen anything like this in 'this segment'. relaxed style, combined with a touch of humor and no bulshit talk. Very knowledgeable And interesting. refreshing! Loved it. Keep doing it.
Maruti themselves seem to have reservations against Ignis. It was bound to get Dual jet K12N this time (WagonR got it, Swift got it, Baleno came with it) but they stuck to the K12M (non dual jet). They'll either pull the plug on Ignis or maybe bring a major change (and not just a facelift)
@@vardanrathi7777 100% agree. I think it's one of the most value of money cars on the market and for MSL. I also think it's the only one apart from the Grand Vitara Hybrid to have a "button" to shuffle through the MID screens.. all other MSL cars have the 1980s Sticks on each side. Mainly I think this is because the Ignis and Grand Vitara are international models
The best sections of video: Crash test & Motorcyclists perspective. This topic & the discussion done here deserves a dedicated video. 👍 More awareness required regarding this in India.
For the saftey conversation, the problem is not the safety rating but it is the usage of low quality steel by hyundai and kia for the cars sold in India compared to other countries Also please don't say that it doesn't matter as even if you are good as possible, there is no guarantee of other drivers on the road.
This video is very special because of the detailed discussion on the Exter as well as on crash tests and other important aspects. And thank you Shumi & Singhee ji for making my day at 29:43.
No plan to pull punches, Neeraj. The safety conversation''s frequency is very good for us as a country and society. But the shallowness of the conversation means a clever organisation can use it to misinform and misdirect all too easily
I think we fuss over the star rating exactly because we know there are indisciplined drivers on the road. Us being disciplined is only half the story. The star rating is what gives you some semblance of confidence for the remaining half of the story. So this disdain for star rating conversation was quite disappointing. I had a close call last week due to someone coming head on in a one way when both of us were around 60 kmph. I could swerve out and avoid the exact 50 percent overlap we see in crash tests. What if i couldn't despite my best efforts? My wife was buckled in and my 17 month old was buckled in his car seat. Star rating conversation is not over rated. Not a Tata or Mahindra owner but a Honda Brio owner thinking of his next car.
Absolutely. But do most of the people discussing those stars know what the numbers and facts actually mean? 99% are surprised to know what _all_ Indian cars do pass a 55kmph test anyway to be approved for sale. Bharat NCAP should fix the data gap in result reporting shortly
Shumi's making a very simple point. If you are going to take safety ratings seriously, then learn what they mean. Star ratings are the most digested, easy for marketing form of understanding the crash test. Each continent offers a different logic for the stars. All of this slips under the radar when it comes to discussing star ratings. So first, people can read the stars, but not what that means for you as a driver in the real world. Second. If you're interested, you should read the 2021 Accident report MoRTH published. Fatality rates are falling, total incidents are going up. As in we're buying more cars and having more crashes, but crashes as a percentage of cars bought is falling. And you'll see why we think skills are more important than just crash test ratings. Here's 4 data points: 1. 70% of accidents happens on straight roads 2. 50%+ are in open areas (not in city etc) 3. 50% of the drivers killed were not wearing seat belts 4. 67% of crashes happened on clear, sunny days. 5. 70% of the time, the cause was listed as overspending. Sounds like a skill issue, no?
Why I'm loving to watch u two talk abt cars n bikes is that it's like two friends with same interests hv conversations abt d same. Which I do so. This will never get bored. 👍

So True, the Exter is made for family of four, with city and highway commutes. Also I did find its AMT working better than on Tata Punch or Maruti Suzuki Ignis. Hope they can get a good score in crash test.
High heeled hatch back 😄,and here are oem's saying micro suv for exter 😂. I consider my XUV700 as a crossover. Shumi's sense of humor is excellent. Execellent approach at selling automobiles, hat's off and well said Shumi- What manufacturer is offering the customer and how the vehicle will fit into their life style is a better strategy👍
One of the finest discussions I've seen on RUclips! Wanted to know whether the front design of the Exter is brought from the Hyundai Santa FE, as they look much similar...
I remeber seeing a long haired guy's reviews on zigwheels (I think) a few years ago. Always appreciated the honest and valuable insights mixed with top class humor. Recently booked the facelift Seltos and started searching for reviews on RUclips. Watched a bunch of them but couldn't find anything by the long haired guy who's reviews I enjoyed in the past. Then got curious and found an old review for the XUV700. Searched by his name and found MotorInc. Happy to see him still doing his thing. Now waiting for his review of the facelift Seltos 1.5 Turbo Petrol DCT before I sign the paperwork with Kia.
My heart was set on buying Maruti ignis and then Hyundai decided to drop this ! Refinement, mileage, and comfort are my main requirements which one should I buy ..?
I recently took a test drive of Hyundai exter and then there are couple of things that I would like to mention. Firstly I don't know how it's suspension is tuned but it kept bumping so hard on the plastic or rubber speed breakers, whichever those are, even on lower speeds, that the folks in the back seat literally kept crashing in the seat. So I have to literally go 5 km an hour on every speed breaker, which is kind of not acceptable for me. My kwid does better than that. Secondly when we say it's a premium interior, I did not feel anything premium at all. As you guys already mentioned it is an i10 interior just placed in a bigger feeling car. That makes the interior feel misplaced and it is so basic that I did not get any feel of premiumness, which I would otherwise feel in an i20.
Sit back relax and think about it and review. Its so cool not running around the car and shouting out heart and reviewing car. this is very settled review. You guys keep surprising every vlog you make. Well done as usual.
You consistently deliver insightful conversations on automobiles. Consider creating a podcast episode dedicated to the future of ICE vehicles and the viability of purchasing ICE cars in the current automotive landscape.
Absolutely nailed it, when you guys talked about the crash test. Whenever i see any car related videos there are people questioning about the ncap ratings and finally you guys answered what i had in mind. Yes #DrivingSkills and #DriveSafe is what that matters. Kudo's guys lovely presentation.
Just am out of the Exter Showroom,. Fully feature packed, Waiting period is around 4-6 months for the S, SX, SX (O) and higher variants, which are in high demand due to the features list, thus Hyundai is sending these variants., And the base variant's waiting period is around 8 months. And am out of Erode., Tamil Nadu. Edit: Oh BTW, I love that intro music. So Peppy.
This is a good review. I really liked it. I liked it when you both spoke about saftey ratings. I think the same can be applied to the SHARP rating for helmets as well. Yes, I know 5 star rating does give a sense of relief and satisfaction but then all that only comes in to play only when the helmet actually fits your head. What's the point of buying a helmet with 5 star SHARP rating if it doesn't fit your head properly?
Love these conversations. Well rounded off, no BS and to the point. I would love to know your thoughts on the usage of high beams by bike and car owners who just don't understand how to use them and end up blinding oncoming people and don't even understand when we signal them to lower their headlamps.
I am struggling to choose between exter and sonet. I have an on-road budget of 10L on I can go for a top end exter but Sonet which is under my budget is also good. Which will you suggest
Although I like the Podcast style format for the First Impressions video, I feel that Car topics should be discussed by both who have driven that particular vehicle. Then it become a conversational discussion rather than a QnA. I liked the Super Meteor episode where Shumi had ridden it, but karthik brought his own motorcycling experience and was spot on to point out specific details even though he had not ridden it. Nothing against Shumi, but he's not a Car guy, which shows in his line of questions and remarks. Riders with Riders, and Drivers with Drivers. :)
Class deliberation. How beautifully everything has been explained with pure application. Both are excellent on the subject and good for customer. Kudos
Now the Verna has 5 star, it is released today itself. Irony is I saw an unfortunate accident today of the Verna today itself, car was crushed. Not even sure the driver survived or not, they took to hospital and all. All air cushions were out. And what people said was bad driving, he slammed the car into a standing truck at like 110. So what I means 5 star may be a peace of mind, if and only if you drive safe. I would pray the guy survives and thankfully he was alone in the vehicle.
It is sad that people take 5 star ratings for granted and think that it makes them immortal. Safe, sensible driving is what ultimately matters and saves one from accidents.
Love your content & delivery style. How would u compare exter to a Baleno. Baleno Zeta AMT on road is under 10.5L. Looks like a super deal. Your views?
I've come around not liking the First Ride program. I didn't like it when it was done in the first season of podcast. Felt some vehicles got special attention. But now in this new avatar, it feels natural. Feels right and what the audience deserve. Great job on turning this around. Also the First Ride's intro theme music is so catchy! Great job on that too!
Hyundai used tested stretegy. Exter E and S have smaller wheels. You get bigger wheel only in higher variant SX and SX (o). SX is their target variant for sell. Others are just decoy. Just like apple and starbucks sells their stuff.
wow, not too long ago, I asked for a 1 hour podcast for Car review, thanks for making this video. I'm looking to get the Exter SX O Connect AMT, so before spending 12 Lakh, this is the kind of honest opinion I wanted to hear.

I like the way how karthikeya points out the little details like the scooped back seats for better space feel and how the wheel arches are nicely done. One request for Karthikeya is to stop the fake laughter in between. You dont have to laugh at whatever schumi throws at you, I am pretty sure schumi wont be upset about it.
Way too good guys to have such long format videos, so that a customer can get more smaller details while considering a purchase. Regarding the last statement that Shumi made. You're spot on as always. ❤️ I always wondered why everyone is so bragging about the global ncap. That's just a lab test done with so many criteria. 😮
Imagine if a car fails in lab criteria then how bad it would be in the real world. As said in the real world it would act for more than 80 km/hr. So GNCAP is a good rating. It shows how the structure will be stable after a crash. 6 airbags is a myth, structural rigidity is way more important than Air bags.
@@VikasJaink in that case, why are not all cars that are sold in India are tested ? GNCAP is not a global company as it feels. It's an organisation that does test cars for basically Indian & European markets. Why is a Tata Harrier or Safari not being tested ? They're also made of the same materials. We cannot judge by the failure or the tests in tests in GNCAP, as Singhee was saying in this video, conditions for accidents do differ. If you're colliding with something stronger/bigger/heavier than your vehicle, then your vehicle will have the higher damage & vice versa. With a car colliding into a stationary object at a speed of 55kmph with an offset angle, we cannot judge how that will impact a car running on the roads.
Also, there was a video made by Faisal Khan regarding the global ncap crash tests. Right now, I'm not able to get that. I'll tag it if I get that video. That video was describing everything about how this company is working & how cars are being tested.
GeekXplained : Some numbers to cement some ideas we discussed in the First. Hope this helps.
1) The Exter looks taller than it feels:
Height: 1631mm vs 1615 for Punch. But it doesn't feel taller than the Tata.
Because, without roof rails the Exter's height is: a) 1598mm on 15” wheels b) 1585 for 14” wheels
Sure, the Punch also has roof rails but they are much lower.
2) Sluggish engine
Look at the max speeds in the first three gears:
1st - 48kmph,
2nd - 88kmph,
3rd - 132kmph.
Yes an indicated 132kmph in 3rd gear! No imagine accelerating in a gear - which explains why the engine feels dull - because it will rev up slowly.
3) Highway Gearing
Here are the engine rpms at 50kmph:
2nd - 3700rpm
3rd gear - 2400rpm (1300rpm lower)
4th gear - 1700rpm (1300rpm lower)
5th gear 50 1300rpm (400rpm lower)
So, for a given speed the 5th gear doesn’t rev much lower than the 4th gear. Hence fuel efficiency won’t be dramatically better when cruising on the highway.
Let me know what you think!
This is one car which should be scrapped as soon as it comes out of the factory...😒😒
The intentions are absolutely clear on this being a city car and the AMT should be the one to get.

Driven Hyundai i20 Active for 2.75 lakh kms and exchanged it for Tiago NRG XZ in Nov 2022. TATA NRG is every bit comparable to i20 Active and than some more, saftey mileage and lower cost of ownership. In love with TATA now. 🤟
Thanks for sharing!
Interesting. How does the NRG stand against Punch?

Spot on!
@@AshishKulkarni7 gncap is biased. I wouldn't believe them if they said earth is round.
Driving discipline is must

Kartikeya got it right about the scooped up seats with Honda, I remember Brio being complimented for its intelligent use of space back in the day.
Awesome! Thanks for that!
The quality of the reviews is several notches above what we generally find in this space. Well done guys.
Thank you, Subhrajyoti! We are happy to know that you like our work.
Awesome! Let’s keep the conversations going here too! We appreciate you taking time out to write in to us! It’s mega!
One of the most engaging and apt First Drive/ Ride videos for our times. With all the pre launch and launch photos and videos we have already seen how the cars and bikes look. It is this what we want to listen to. It's also fun how Shumi brings in his own takes on cars. Thank you guys!!
Thank you Parvez!
Again, first impression video of length 40+ min.. What a way to start a day 😍
Hope you enjoy it! Let us know what you think Aashish!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you RC!
Thank you very much!
In my opinion Hyundai has studied the indian market well by getting into the segments which normal user needs for a daily purpose but i would also like to see them bringing the global models such as i20N into our indian waters to test the scope of market
Oh, we'd love that as well.

Best explanation on why Maruti Suzuki engines are always fuel efficient. Never have I heard or thought about this before. Consider my mind BLOWN!
Glad you found MotorInc First useful!
Never knew I needed a 40+ min video on a car I would never buy. Hyundai has nailed the pricing and this will sell like hotcakes for sure
Glad you watched it through and through, then Pranav! 😊
Let’s make it happen! Thanks for speaking up here.
and that depends on us ppl, but we are idiots who whine on youtube and then doing it properly on ground
Suggest me
1)The best practical car under 10lakh onroad in kerala
2) best Automatic car with sunroof with good looks and overall safety features
3)As my first car how muh max budget should i consider, currently i set at 10lakh max on road, but my priorities and favourites are above that.
And if Hyundai's new gen cars - like this Exter here - do manage a good NCAP rating - it's gonna be knockout punch for sure (pun intended)
Sorry for the rant
Love your content as always ♥️♥️
Hullo AP! Always happy to hear from you! Thank you !
Most Genuine review of Exter. Plz watched who booked and will be planning to do
Thank you!
I totally agree. Its a great starting for a first car. Makes you believe in the brand and says my next car update will be another hyundai...
Firstly - glad to know your folks are safe. However, the Brezza was also a four star car. 🤷♂️
Oh my god, it’s almost like motorinc has lost it in terms of safety. they just want to look the other way.
No we're actually really glad his folks are safe! There's no two ways about it.
And the rest is just fact. You don't have to like it.
@Drxyz-tk6le when other driver is stupid then crash test matters. I see people ramming parked vehicles or stopped vehicles all the time
How would you compare the AMT Transmission of Exter with that of Maruti Baleno...?? Which one of them offers the least head nod and the best overall drivability....???
I have driven nexon and baleno amt, felt baleno amt was better smoother and has faster shifts. Even amaze has a good amt but baleno amt is better than others
I had constant smile while the conversation is going on, number of variants, head nod and crash test so many beautiful movements in this episode.
The video can be trimmed to actual car and other general topic and that second part becomes it’s own pod cast

Congratulations SK! Wish you great travels with it. Thank you so much for sharing with us!

What an amazing talk. Have never seen anything like this in 'this segment'. relaxed style, combined with a touch of humor and no bulshit talk. Very knowledgeable And interesting. refreshing! Loved it. Keep doing it.
Would be great to hear you guys discuss and also review the IGNIS objectively and subjectively. Don't see many people talking about that car.
Thank AM for the recommendation! Will keep that in mind.
Yes, please..

The question is - if given an option, would Karthikeya replace his (wife's) Ignis with the Exter or the Punch? 😊
We think not. He likes the Ignis for the superb K12. The C3’s engine is the best best in his books.
For the saftey conversation, the problem is not the safety rating but it is the usage of low quality steel by hyundai and kia for the cars sold in India compared to other countries
Also please don't say that it doesn't matter as even if you are good as possible, there is no guarantee of other drivers on the road.
Oils you share any link to where the steel analysis has been shared? Would appreciate it.

This video is very special because of the detailed discussion on the Exter as well as on crash tests and other important aspects. And thank you Shumi & Singhee ji for making my day at 29:43.
🙌❤️ Glad you enjoyed it.
35:55 Shumi being extremely brutal with the facts about crash test scores. 👍
No plan to pull punches, Neeraj. The safety conversation''s frequency is very good for us as a country and society. But the shallowness of the conversation means a clever organisation can use it to misinform and misdirect all too easily
extremely brutal doesn’t mean its true or backed by facts. Although safety rating are backed by numbers and facts.
Here's 4 data points:
1. 70% of accidents happens on straight roads
2. 50%+ are in open areas (not in city etc)
3. 50% of the drivers killed were not wearing seat belts
4. 67% of crashes happened on clear, sunny days.
5. 70% of the time, the cause was listed as overspending.
Sounds like a skill issue, no?
Why I'm loving to watch u two talk abt cars n bikes is that it's like two friends with same interests hv conversations abt d same. Which I do so. This will never get bored. 👍

Hi. His name is Karthikeya Singhee. We will be putting together a review of the new Seltos soon.

Glad you like them!
@motorinc - Is the Exter, a Fiat Panda for India? Food for thought..
changed by mindset about crash test ratings and 2 wheeler safety. Great convo. :)

Thank you! A well fitting helmet is crucial and we wish more people understood that.
Love these conversations. Well rounded off, no BS and to the point. I would love to know your thoughts on the usage of high beams by bike and car owners who just don't understand how to use them and end up blinding oncoming people and don't even understand when we signal them to lower their headlamps.
Kartikeya's monologue on safety was absolutely eye-opening. More episodes on industry standards that need lesser attention then it gets. Thanks
Hey KI! Glad you found the conversation interesting!
Schumi is talking like he's not even a bit of a car guy but I remember him reviewing cars on Overdrive

Class deliberation. How beautifully everything has been explained with pure application. Both are excellent on the subject and good for customer. Kudos
Our pleasure! Thank you Pratap!

Way too good guys to have such long format videos, so that a customer can get more smaller details while considering a purchase.
Regarding the last statement that Shumi made. You're spot on as always. ❤️
I always wondered why everyone is so bragging about the global ncap.
Structural rigidity ftw! Good driving manners are a good indicator of it.
