Damn I was 23 and had the world by the short and curlys
😂
Crazy to see how the hype with the crowd and the announcers has changed since then. Everyone seems asleep as they are launching dongs
Damn Prince Fielder young as he'll on this I wonder did anyone ever think he would be a great hitter
Antonio Ladd I read somewhere he put one in the upper deck at tigers field during his dad’s BP, when he was TWELVE.
Just sitting here missing baseball in 2020 during the quarantine.....
This calms my nerves.....
When the home run derby was actually legit
I remember this one! 😊😊😊 Awesome!
Muchos de ellos cuando comencé a ver Baseball ya tenían una carrera avanzada no viví esa generación pero cuantas leyendas juntas
Always loved what Joe Morgan had to say on the ESPN Broadcasts as a kid
That baseball tonight theme sends me back to my teenage years
8:50 Sweetest swing ever!
Ken Griffey jr’s swing is so satisfying
The average person in 1993 knew the name of most of these contestants. Now today, ask the average person who is the best/highest paid player in baseball now and most will have no idea.
Played ball all the way through high school and I havent watched a game in a decade.
I was a fan back then but not for years now and it matters none either way, it's guys hitting a ball. Meaningless.
Very true.
Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Jr were by far the two best players in baseball at that time.
It's so weird. As a kid playing baseball and collecting baseball cards in the 80's and 90's, I can't ever remember thinking two seconds about Barry Bonds. It was all about Canseco and McGwire in the late 80's. And then Griffey and Frank Thomas throughout the 90's.
Camden yards need to host the all star game again during my lifetime.
Best ball player of my era... If injury didn't get him he would own the HR record for sure
Juan Igor González did an incredible performance. Siempre serás una leyenda.
The commentators are the best in this one comparing anyone to KGJr. KGJr is just unreal. It's beautiful.
Man, the glory days at Camden yards.
Can we talk about how half the contestants including Gonzalez look like they’re on gear. The 90s were a different time!
Video thumbnail, swingman No. 24, length of the video 24:24. Good stuff MLB vault!
Griffey was the most talented player of all time
So glad they changed the format
I had Orioles partial season tickets at this time. I was at this Derby and it was so much fun.
Too bad the Orioles suck big time
I was thinking about when this would have been, and I randomly thought "hey, this would be around the same time Davey Allison died, I think"... and surely enough, the ESPN ticket mentions his helicopter accident. Crazy...
Anyway, I was in the absolute prime of my love of the game, at this point. 9, going on 10 years old. Time flies.
