Yea, good backstory when they interviewed him on ABC, he was a dude that knew nothing about sports, and decided he could fill in because it because it was just read a teleprompter and it malfunctioned about 1 second into it. Someone was looking out for him and made him suffer, he's supposedly a successful reporter now.
I wish or hope he trademarked that line; he'd be one of the richest people in the country.

It was production team failure. It's clear he, the guy/gal feeding the script, and the video editor are not on the same page. This explains why guys like Bill O'Reilly and Chris Berman have footage of going ape shit. Because the screw up makes them look bad, while the behind scenes guys/gals don't get the humiliation/embarrassment.

You can pretty much tell the correct wording is on the teleprompter much of the time and he's just mincing his words over and over and over again. Hahahaha soooo cringe worthy. Pure internet gold this is. Love it.

    • @cjinl2428

Well in O'Reilly's case, there was nothing wrong with the teleprompter. He literally just didn't like the script and threw a fit, saying things like "there's no words on there" out of pure anger even though there are words there.
