    Great video. Thanks for putting it together. I was actually just looking for a 90 degree m22 fitting. I have limited space beside my garage door to the wall. 12 inches depth. I have to be conscious of anything sticking out there and risking it getting hit. That 90 degree will be a big help. Working on finding the smallest hose reel I can find now. So far, 12 inches is about it and that should work. Just spending more time looking for smaller ones.

      The general pump 50ft has a small footprint. I have a small area for my wash setup. I spent a good bit of time trying to find elbows that would work and this is the best I could find. Not cheap though that’s for sure. That elbow is high quality though.

Think Tesla has gotten that too with the 48v truck, you need smaller lighter cables with higher voltage and lower current. • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  10 месяцев назад +1

      It will work with well water, but usually it’s higher in ppm which would lessen the lifespan of the DI Resin. Many people run two filter setups one for sediment and carbon for chemicals then the DI resin for spot free. Those with higher ppm tend to run much bigger filters and tanks since they have to replace more often. A reverse Osmosis system is also an option for well water.

    Awesome video. Great explanation. I recently got the ego 3200psi machine. It works well and looks amazing. However, the oem gun comes with a 3/8" quick connect instead of a 1/4" one. The only 1/4 quick connect is at the far end of the wand, which makes using "normal" foam cannons practically impossible. Really confused why it's designed that way.
    I've spent hours googling yet i still can't find a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter or any walkaround solutions (it doesn't make sense if there's no solution).
    Now although I'm tending to get either sgs28 or the og spec gun, it's quite a pity to give up the wirless control and battery indicator on the oem gun. (Btw the oem foam cannon is much better than the "foam guns" that come with some other machines.)

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  Год назад

      Garden hose should be standard 3/4 GHT (Garden Hose Thread) and the same on all pressure washers. The pressure washer side is where it is different and is 15mm M22. Simoniz is Canadian I think so not sure if garden hoses are a different size there. Any garden QD should work, but I suggest the ones that are brass and have large inside diameter for good water flow.

    • @CarsWithKeav

      I have not heard of 1/2 inch quick connects. Usually no matter the size of the garden hose whether it’s 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 or even an inch they all use industry standard 3/4 threads. I would assume the quick connects would be the industry standard for that as well. Just looked at one on Amazon and think the quick connects can be removed giving you a regular garden hose thread.

    Just came across your channel great explanation. If you were to up grade what way would you go in my position? active or still stay gravity? I’m just starting out and just found out my system is backwards. I bought a ryobi 2100psi 2.1gpm. I’m just wondering if I should just by a harbor freight transfer pump and call it a day, or change my PW. And which way to go. I have a 125gal tank. I noticed when I did a test ran on my f250 I went through quite a bit of water. Which I was surprised I put 60 gal of di water and I went down to around 30-25 gal after that. I have the Uber flex hose already if I go active I would have to also change my fittings or If I down grade to a ryobi 1800 psi. I’ve been told I should be ok gravity. But I do have 2.5’ of pvc coming of the tank and a y splitter to the pw with about 2-2.5’ of hose if I had to put the pw on the ground from the trailer for gravity. And 2’ hose for bucket fill ups. running on a 3500 inverter generator. I just don’t want to waste money go the wrong way. Which I can go the active route and just pay that expensive later or home depot has the 1800 for 89 bucks right now.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  3 месяца назад +1

      You can gravity feed an Active it just depends on the flow. Ryobi is a good route as well nothing Erin with their PW. When I do DI system testing I store the water in a 500 gallon water bladder and use an RV pump to bring it into my active. Pump was about $60 and can flow 5gpm. I love the active, but the Ryobi is a good buy as well and saves you money needed elsewhere. If this is a mobile detail setup I would stick with the Ryobi as the warranty is good and the Active is known to not last long when being abused daily.

    • @DJMEDIC671
      @DJMEDIC671 3 месяца назад +1

      @@CarsWithKeav yes it’s a mobile set up. Should I down grade to the smaller ryobi unit? I don’t want to be in the middle of a wash/detail and water starts to become a problem due to gravity. Trying to start something with my kid. Teach them young.

      Right now I believe I got about 15 gallons and the Ryobi is struggling to the point where it doesn’t even pressurize the system. I know I may have a twist or turn in the hose that may be slowing it up but if I’m getting down to that little water then it’s just concerns me

      @@DJMEDIC671 Really need to understand the gravity feed and how much flow it is doing to know if you would have problems. If you are flowing twice what the pressure washer needs you should be okay. I myself am not much of an expert in gravity feed. I have never used one before. I have only pumped water.

      @@DJMEDIC671 If the Ryobi is struggling the Active would be even worse. Might have to think about running a pump or getting the gravity feed higher. Too bad no reputable company really makes a self priming pressure washer that isn't battery powered. Wouldn't need gravity or a pump with one of those.

    Are you not doing your two stage water filters anymore? Or is the budget deioniztaion just the better option

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  Год назад

      I was just using the DI setup as an example for the connections. The two stage would be the exact same connection setup. I would still use with a cart as the DI setup is smaller. For my wall setup I just run a CR Spotless and let the resin do all the filtering. This would all depend on your water quality. Mine is good enough the two stage is not needed as much.

    Can someone explain why you would want a shut off for your water supply at the pressure washer? Whats the use case for that? To me it makes no sense. Sounds like more of a liability to forget to turn it back on and run the pump dry immediately

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 месяца назад

      If your pressure washer is 20 feet away from the spigot you can turn the water on and off without having to walk all the way to the house. If you turn it on and off at the house wouldn’t you have the same possibility of forgetting to turn it on/off then too? This way you bring the hose to pressure washer with the water already running then hook it up and go. No walking back to the spigot to turn it on and then walk back again.

    I'm looking to save for a nice electric pressure washer to syst my detailing business. Not sure what to get. The one your giving away how is that one?

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  Год назад

      It’s good, but longevity for a detailing business it’s not quite there. AR 630 would be where I would start as it’s serviceable and meant for
      Commercial use. Active VE56 is a residential enthusiast product, but I know several that use it in mobile detailing and love it. Their Active 2.0 is more detailer focused and has twice the life. So it’s buy the long term unit or buy 3 Active 2.0 for the same price. Tough decision actually.
