Once again this is great! These videos are easy for quick reminders of how products go/work together without having to sift through the long form content. Great Job!
Thank you so much. I honestly have been very confused lately and I just just bought a pressure washer. This definitely saved me time and effort and money.
Excellent details shared - thank you. I went down that "Rabbit hole" and was frustrated that I could not get all the fittings to work with my Bauer Electric 2000 psi pressure washer and Chem Guys Toro Foam washer. Realized 1/4 inch seems the most standard.,
Can you go over O-ring sizing? On most pressure washing sites they simply label them as 1/4" or 3/8", but if you buy from a supplier who specializes in O-rings, you get sizing that refers to ID, OD, and CS Inside diameter, Outside diameter, and Cross section.
Thank you for the Vid!!! I finally got an explanation between an M22 1/4" and an M22 3/8. From your video I learned that the 1/4" is for the nozzle tips, and the 3/8 is for the hose connection to the PW and to the wand. Is that correct?
Great video! Thank you. I have a question. I didn't pay attention when buying a bunch of accessories for my pressure washer and I have some with 3/8 inch quick connects and some with 1/4 inch quick connects. I didn't even take the stuff out of the boxes yet, but am I going to have to buy adapters to make the 2 sizes work with one another? If that's even possible. Edit: the treads obviously will fit into each accessory that they came with. I'm curious if the male and female connections will be an issue for me
Great video explaining. Is there a fitting that will attach to a pressure washer gun that adapts down to a 3/8 barbed nipple to connect my gun to the backpack sprayer?
How do you remove a broken quick disconnect from the pressure washer extention pole? Do you put the pole in the table vise to be able to “unscrew” the entire QD to add a new one? Concerned the metal pole will bend when trying to twist off broken pole.
Please help me. I bought a mckillans swivel pressure washer gun. It has a 3/8 swivel inlet. My hose is a 1/4 inch so I can’t use my new gun. Is there a 1/4 inch swap out fitting for the mckillians swivel gun? ( also the pressure washer outlet is 1/4 inch otherwise I’d just buy a new 3/8 hose)
CAN I CONNECT A FEMALE 3/8 PLUG TO MALE PLUG? THE END OF MY HOSE IS A COUPLER BUT THE END OF MY BALL VALVE IS A COUPLER TOO, I NEED TO CONNECT MY HOSE TO MY BALL VALVE
I was/am currently using water dragon fittings for my 3/8 hose stuff, why? i don't know maybe because i was uneducated. Those crappy, irritating, useless ends have caused me 2yrs of frustration. On my 4k psi simpson machine those pos male ends will dent up so fast, like 5 minutes from the bearings inside the female coupler. Then i cant get my wand, surface washer, whatever separated without using a channel locks and a hammer. The indents on the male fitting get so large the ball bearings wont slip over the fitting now. Moving on to today. I ordered general fittings because people have told me they last at least a year or so. Which is a lot longer than 5 minutes to me. I got them in the mail last week $175 in parts and I notice one side of the fittings say General but the opposite side say China. Whats your opinion on that, the china part? Did i just buy junk again? Moving on to just now. I just heard you say Mosmatic. I didn't know they make/sell fitting. I'm going to go to your store and check them out. Besides the fact your selling them do you think they are far superior than General? I haven't installed my Generals yet so i can't compare. But what i am sick and tired of is every time i want to change to a wand or a surface cleaner or use the D10 to blow clean surfaces after cleaning it take about 5 minutes between tooling because those water dragon ends have to be the worst things i ever purchased.
Is there anyway to refurbish the males or females when they get difficult to disconnect one another like they have teeth mark indentions on the male for the balls in the female or are they just trash? Been using them for pressure washing and would like to not go through them as fast
"in reference to the thread gender: basically all that means is whether the threads are internal like this female plug. or external like this male plug an important thing to note about female and male plugs is there needs to be an alternating pattern: (exactly!) "so a male connects to a female, female connects to male you can't do male to male nor can you do female to female" Pity this concept isn't applied in the real world to society. That's why u got so many people doing just that. Male to male an female to female. We could learn a lot from the engineering world. They know what fits an what doesn't!

Thanks so much for going back to the basics. Some of us REALLY need this who didn't grow up with it. So helpful!

Great video. I want to go from the garden hose to an M22-15 sprayer. What do I need to try this? Thanks
Im sure there is a way to do that but it would require some custom fittings. Though I'm not sure why you would want to do that.

You should say more about rhe 14mm vs 15mm connections in M22 style.... electric units vs gas units.
Well done Nick
What about the 3 QD types for pressure washers?!? 2 are common but I have the 3rd type and was hoping he would cover them.

Good video, but I was looking for one missing piece - does the male or female part go on the pressure washer?
Concise and informative. Thank you.
did just someone in the vid giggled after hearing "you cant go male to male and female to female" or is it just me lmao
guilty as charged, in today's world, many would disagree lol.
Anti rainbow guy 😂
I immediately came to look for this sort of comment as soon as I heard it! Now back to watching the rest of the video...

Thank you...was informative
If I am going to use a M22- 3/8 quick connect to a 1/4 hose, would there be an issue or it will be fine?
Please help me. I bought a mckillans swivel pressure washer gun. It has a 3/8 swivel inlet. My hose is a 1/4 inch so I can’t use my new gun. Is there a 1/4 inch swap out fitting for the mckillians swivel gun? ( also the pressure washer outlet is 1/4 inch otherwise I’d just buy a new 3/8 hose)
If im changing a fitting that is tapered and needs to seal 3000psi is teflon tape enough?
What size are the ball bearings
Does kranzle use m22 14 or 15
What about type M, T and H plugs?
excellent!
i found a spray nozzle with (1/2inch) 3/4inch and 1inch. internal thread which quick connect fitting can I use.?
Im not sure I understand your question, I would reach out to support and they should be able to provide more info.

Mosmatic fittings are far superior to any other fitting currently available. They aren't cheap though.
Is pressure washer gun thread using npt?
Im not sure I fully understand what you are asking. For the best answer please reach out to support@obsessesgarge.com for more help.
When's the next giveaway?
What lubricant do you recommend on the quick couplers?
You shouldn't be using any lubricants on the couplers. if its getting difficult to use just toss it.

There is no way to refurbish them unfortunately. As long as its not leaking its still good.

Nice video! But can you define what a "female" fitting really is? 🤔 😅
How DARE you assume thread’s gender!!!!!
lol people so triggered over calling these 'male' and 'female'
You can't do male to male or female to female. Fittings have more sense than humans
Don’t you think you should let the fitting grow up and decides it’s own gender 😝
No, male to male definitely not!!! But I'll gladly observe trying to connect two females 👊😘
How dare you assume a threads gender. Especially during pride month … shame 😆
I'm from India 🇮🇳
