    If anybody are having second thoughts about buying the Jaybird Run headphones because of the bad reviews about connections issues, please don't. Most of bad reviews are from people who bought them when they first came out several months ago, or people who haven't updated to the latest firmware.
    These headphones are great. They have without a doubt the best fit of any of the true wireless headphones, and sound quality that is every bit as good as the Bose Soundsport earbuds at $70 cheaper. I'm getting about 4 hours of playtime when fully charged. The case charges them very very quickly and will give you an additional 8 hours. There was a slight connection issue when I first got them where the left earbud would cut out for about half a second about every 10-15 minutes. However after updating to firmware version 1.1.0, I haven't had one SINGLE connection issue. Over all I'm very happy with them and would deff recommend them.

      How pair of Jaybird run is so bad in connection, really really bad. Left bud always disconnected and both disconnected even when I am playing handphone or taking photo while listening to music with Jaybird. How to update the firmware?

    • @trpilot6
      @trpilot6 6 лет назад

      You have to go to this link and download the Jaybird Run Update Assistant to your computer (I don't think you can do it from your phone)
      jaybirdsport.com/en-us/dfu-download/dfurun-win.html
      Once it is downloaded, open it up and follow the step by step instructions...its pretty easy.

      my jaybird run was bought during Christmas, it's already the updated firmware. I downloaded the app and confirmed again, it's the lastest firmware. So the problem still the earbud itself..

      TechDaily I just got these as a Christmas gift. Since then I have been playing with the ear configuration to fit my ears. I thought to myself the Run doesn't stay in my ears because I have small ears. My husband has big ears and it fits perfectly on him! Then I saw your review. I was glad I wasn't the only one who has this problem. But was super bummed that there's no solution to my (our) problem. I really want to keep them but I am afraid to drop and lose them while running outside. I'm still hopeful that I will find that perfect fit. I will keep trying lol

    I just bought them and I'm very happy. Everything is working fine. The don't fall off of my ears (I do running and weights). I wanted them just for music, but I tested with RUclips videos and I don't have any delay. The sound is not the best in the world but is all what I need. The button are not sensitive or touch, they could improve that, but I can still use them. I didn't have any problem with Bluetooth connection (I have been using them just for two days though). Just wanted to share my experience.

    I had the same problem as you. They would either have too much suction or would fall out. When there was too much suction, the sound basically went away. But instead of returning them, I bought comply foam tips and they have stayed in perfectly and offered even better sound than before. Since the tips I got were foam, it kinda cushioned the button presses a bit. I've been using them ever since.

    For me, fit was excellent, and I personally feel quality of construction is very good. Connectivity was the issue that eventually led to returning them to Best Buy. Disconnects between buds and source was frequent and intrusive. I replaced them with Jabra Elite Sport, and have had no issues in over a week of ownership.

    I purchased these three days ago. And sadly, they went back. I’ve been Jaybird since the beginning. I had big expectations for these thinking that the past headphones are great in sound and connectivity. But these jaybird run, sounded great like the others, fit great like the others, but the connectivity could not stay for more than 5 minutes. I tried resetting them soft and hard, but the connection was no better. Jaybird please fix this problem and I’ll gladly get the runs with a quickness. I’m currently using x3s which I love. And great review Mann, keep it up.

    I’ve had my Jaybird Run for a day and so far I like them a lot. However, I am experiencing some connectivity issues with the left earbuds. It often does not play when I take them out of the case. Just the right one goes on and I have to reset the left one. As for the buttons, i personally like them. They’re easy to click in my case. I checked out the B&O E8 before buying the Jaybirds and was willing to pay almost double the price but decided against them because the volume was way too low and the touch sensitive buttons were not responsive and very finicky.

  • @EL_Pineda

    For me, Ive had these earbuds for over a year. At first my experience was fine, exercise without my earbuds falling out and all that. But not too many weeks ago, I apparently wasn't able to use my left earbud, unless the right one, was on and connected. Speaking of the left earbud, the button fell off after it fell from the ground, not even 4 feet. Next thing I know, recently my earbuds just wouldn't connect. I opened the jaybird app, but was imediatley told to pair from bluetooth settings, but my earbuds would not pop up as an available pairing device. Earbuds voice commands say power on, but the availability was gone. In conclusion, these earbuds are good for about 1 year.

    I too was really excited to get these and try them out. I have the exact same issue with them fitting. The left ear seems just ok for fit but my right ear, no matter what combo of tip and fin I tried kept getting loose and I felt like was going to fall out. I cannot see running with these for fear of one or both falling out. I wish I'd see this before I purchased them. I will say though connection, pushing of the buttons, no issue. Sound quality great it's really just the fit or lack of fit in my stupid small ears :(

    I actually love these earbuds. If you have some doubts about the earbuds the sound quality is amazing (with the app off course like just about every jaybird product). And yeah they every once in awhile are wired like one mutes for like half a second but that only happens like once a day for me and trust me it's not even bad or that noticable lol. They stay in my ear perfectly, and have crazy bass with the app.

    Unlike your experience, I found these to fit in my ears perfectly. I used the largest wing, and the small oblong tip. I heard that other users encountered connection issues, and I had some when pairing with my phone and using other apps at the same time. Fortunately I had no connection issues when pairing these with my Samsung Gear S2, which is the primary device I use when listening to my music at the gym.

    I’m a fifteen year old kid. I wanted to get nice running buds that fit perfect, waterproof, and had long charge time. I like watching videos so I would like them for that as well. I got none. I spent forever saving up my money and I finally got them. They have horrible delay when watching videos, and the charging case stopped working after the first 2 weeks. I can’t return them due to my use for extended time and I am very disappointed. I’m trying to sell them so I can get air pods.

    Tried these at release. They fit perfectly for me just like the X3s. Connectivity was disappointingly garbage to the point where I experienced the weird sound oscillations more often than not when taking them out of the case. Took them back and went back to the X3's. May try the Bose versions when they arrive later this month but I'm almost convinced that true wireless ear buds just aren't quite there yet.
    I think the button issue you were having was more an issue of needing to click along the edge. This part seems to be a design decision so that you can press the ear bud and wiggle it into place from the rear edge without pressing the button accidentally.

Added to that my most recent issue is the charging unit case. Dealing with them directly with it but it is an absolute hassle. For something that costs as much as it does, you'd expect a modicum of implied warranty.

    Jaybird’s can’t be measuring your ear and producing earbuds for the whole population using your ear as a referral point. I’ve known 12 people who own these TWE and each one of them mentioned the fit was perfect, I repeat, perfect. Secondly, the built quality is good and certainly better than a lot of other TWE out there so your point is irrelevant once more. Lastly, they produce good sound quality but if you’re willing to spend another $300, get a pair of Sennheiser Momentum True Free earbuds and I can guarantee they sound better. If you’re on a budget or you need a pair of TWE without breaking the bank, these are your perfect choice. Just wanted to point out that your points are not accurate and that you’re complaining too much about earphones which are meant to be convenient, simple and reliable while producing decent sound.

    Nice video and good to know. The inside of my ears is a little wierd too, so I would definitely have the same problem of them staying in. My favourite wireless so far has been Icon X, as they stayed in, but battery life isn't great unfortunately.. Maybe the new ones will be better. However no BT phones can match the sound quality of wired. I'm very happy using the Note8 with the wired AKG phones. It is not the time to get rid of the headphone jack. Bluetooth is still not good enough unfortunately.

    Did you try writing to Logitech to see if they would try to send you other tips or anything?
    In the week I’ve had them I’ve never found a more comfortable and firm fitting earbud on the market.
    I couldn’t really complain about build quality myself (I mean it’s plastic, mostly) but I don’t like the button. I’ve found the sweet spot on the button is closest to your jaw, but I’d rather just use my watch for controlling just about anything.
    I was nervous about connection issues as I had heard that was a problem for some but I haven’t yet experienced that. I’ve used them for a total of six hours and plan to see exactly how long under my own usage patterns the buds/case batteries last. I suspect 7-10 days will be that number, which I think is pretty good.
    Bummer you didn’t like them though. I couldn’t recommend these enough. My biggest regret is getting them in white lol (didn’t realize they made two colors).

      I considered using some ear tips from other earbuds Ive used in the past, but without some good fitting ear fins too, it just wouldn't work out. I went back to my AirPods for now and also found the JayBird Freedom 2's to be a little better for me personally, even with the cable.
      And I totally agree, the buttons were a nice idea but pressing them is just not the best. Didn't have the white color option around here which is kind of interesting too, black was all that was in stock

    If anybody are having second thoughts about buying the Jaybird Run headphones because of the bad reviews about connections issues, please DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!!! It's total GARBAGE! Left earbud constantly losing connections. Firmware 1.1.0 updated. Is there anymore problem? Oh F*()no! It still losing connection constantly.

      I bought a pair the other day. I paused them this morning then hit play again. The podcast showed it was playing on my phone but no audio was coming out of the bud and there was a little bit of white noise in the background if I listened carefully. I returned these and bought some Bose which are great.

    Is there a way to fix the audio sync with them for videos, also do they turn off when they are in the case?

    • @TechDaily
      @TechDaily  6 лет назад

      Because they're wireless, they'll always have a little bit of a sync issue. Its just what way it is with a vast majority of bluetooth earbuds. But for whatever reason, its really really noticeable on these. And they don't exactly completely power down, when you pull them out of the case and put them in your ears they'll automatically be contented and ready to go.

    • @andyhaber89
      @andyhaber89 6 лет назад

      That's annoying, I also have the x2 and have never had any sync issues with them, although the run are a bit more comfortable, I may end up returning them, I don't think completely wireless earbuds are ready yet.

    Just bought my jaybird runs. Updated to the lastest firmware and they sound like crap. Very flat stereo sound no bass at all and left bud disconnects while my phone is in my pocket. Do not recommend these at all. Ridiculous for a product costing me 250$CAD. Customer service was no help at all.

    I like my X3 although like all Jaybirds had a hard time getting them to fit in my ears. Wanted to like these but I don't know if it was the phone or what but the connection between the buds was terrible. The left would sync in and out during workouts (HIIT) which was really annoying. I will go back to wired bluetooth for now.

    Just recieved my Jaybird Runs in the mail 30 minutes ago. And i already have them back in the box ready to send back. I had some of the same troubles out of mine. Buy the one that had be decide to return them is. I just couldnt hear them clearily, or they did not have enough volume. I listen to audiobooks alot. And i could not hear them good. It sucks that there not aa good as promised.

      I've seen some people mention that the sound was a bit too low as well, so you certainly aren't the only one with that issue. Its a shame these didn't end up all that great, but at least JayBird has some other decent products like the X3's and Freedom's
