1. AKT is an inhibitor of TSC1/2 2. TSC1/2 is an inhibitor if Rheb. 3. Rheb is an activator of mTORC1 AKT inhibits the inhibitor of Rheb (TSC1/2). Thereby allowing more Rheb to activate mTORC1 allowing for more activation of TSC1/2 as compared to if AKT was NOT present
Is GSK3 the same as GSK3-ß from Wnt-signaling (Activation of Akt leads to inactivation of beta-Catenin Destruction Complex, leading to a proliferative signal through a accumulation of beta-Catenin in the nucleus)? This would be an additional way how Akt stimulates cell proliferation?
