    Girl you are amazing!! I just wish I would have found your channel when I was trying to care for my relaxed hair. During this time I was stretching my relaxer and my hair was breaking at the ends. So I googled to find how to care for my natural and relaxed hair and discovered transitioning instead and 17 months later went natural. Just knowing how to maintenance your hair is the key even if you choose to be natural, relaxed or texlax.

    she said it in the beginning of the video. it means pre-shampoo, adding oils and conditioner to your hair before shampooing to help protect your hair from getting too dry/brittle.

    I hated DC'ing with the Tresemme Naturals Moisture conditioner, however, I pre-pooed with it and added extra virgin olive or and avocado oil to it and my hair loved it! I agree that pre-pooing is a great way to use up conditioners you don't like as an after shampoo deep conditioner.

    Great suggestion about using conditioners that "didnt work" as your pre-poo. This will totally help me to use them without wasting money.

    It acts as a protectant. The clarifying shampoo removes access build up of products, but it can OVER strip our hair. Grade 4 (a,b, c) hair is very dry.

    I bought Palmers coconut hair milk, which didn't add much moisture to my hair. could I mix that with olive oil and tea tree oil for my prepoo to get rid of it? It's not a conditioner, but a hair milk moisturizer.

    Great hair! Good idea-- adding oils to conditioners that you don't like and may want to throw away to make a hair treatment.
    But doesn't the clarifying shampoo strip out the pre-poo treatment that you just put in?

  • @ShanteKaneisha

    What's the difference in a pre-poo and deep condition? After your pre-poo do you deep condition? I rlly dnt see the point of a pre-poo except it keeps oil in ur hair. A deep condition does the same thing. Do you pre-poo and then wash it with shampoo and then deep condition?
    Help me understand please. Thanks in advance. :)

    • @krumpchik
      @krumpchik 9 лет назад +2

      Shante' Kaneisha pre-poo, as the name implies, is done before you shampoo. Deep conditioning is done after. Most people (like me) pre-poo to make detangling easier :)

    • @blackbutterfly233ify
      @blackbutterfly233ify 8 лет назад +8

      pre-poo (pre-shampoo) is a treatment done to the hair before you shampoo. Shampoos clean hair, but they also make hair very dry because it strips hair from it's natural oils. pre-pooing prepares the hair for the shampooing process by oiling the hair. Coconut oil, olive oil, and avocado oil are the only oils to penetrate the hair shaft and the scalp, protecting the hair from inside out. Then you shampoo.
      Deep condition is done after shampooing. Whatever activity you are doing to your hair, (shampooing, protein treatments, relaxers, perms), they are designed to put moisture back into the hair. Every type of hair, relaxed, natural, straight, permed, doesn't matter need to deep condition. then you apply leave-in conditioners for extra moisture.
      1) pre-poo
      2) shampoo
      3) deep condition hope this helps!!!!!!!!!! =) =) =) =) =) =)
