We have the 2021 260RD and love it. It has the standard 2 way fridge, but it is huge. The storage is awesome, especially for the size of the trailer. The windows (light) are great, the awning is a nice size. Love the autoleveling feature. Large tanks for boondocking, we also added the solar panel to our unit (did not come standard in 2021). Tows really well with a Duramax 2500 - hardly feel the weight. Bike rack works well in the rear hitch. Large bathroom which is nice, including the shower size. Tows really well, and is relatively light for a fifth wheel. The rear table on the adjustable pedestal is one of the best dinettes we've ever had in 36 years of RVing! The Nautalis system is the best "water" system we've ever had. Excellent bed and great storage in the bedroom. The number of drawers in the unit is unbelievable! Auto lights in passthru storage, at front door, and in bathroom. Large awning is awesome, as we live outside most of the time. Overall, one of the best trailers we've ever had, and we've had 7 from mostly different manufacturers, so I think we have a good overall view on what works and what does not. The only, and I mean only, downside is the lack of access to the bath and bedroom because of the slide, when you are travelling. Other than that, awesome. Thanks for your great reviews - we really appreciate the level of detail and the humour, even if some of it falls into the Dad joke category (which is my category).

It’s really hard to find a fifth wheel with a rear dinette, but I love it. How many times have you had a great view out the back of your campsite, and the ability to sit there and enjoy it is great. Usually it’s a sofa there so you get your back to the view.

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
You are the BEST Uncle Josh! I was one of the folks who wanted to see the Reflection 150 series, and you delivered! This is my personal favorite of the series, and is near the top of the list of RV's to buy when it comes time to pull the trigger. I got to see this one in person at the Quad City (Davenport) Bish's, and was REALLY impressed! And the one I saw was in travel mode, they did not have the slide extended. But even still, it's such a nice OPEN floor plan.
You are correct about one thing for sure, this is the 5th wheeler for people who want to do a lot of traveling with their camper. And you are correct that despite the "150" name, you really should haul this thing with a 3/4 ton pickup, especially since the GVWR is nearly 10,000 lbs! PAY ATTENTION TO UNCLE JOSH KIDS, he knows what he's talking about.
Excellent job asking people to compare this to the Cougar 24RDS, as they are both excellent. I've not been able to see the Cougar in person yet, but I do want to see one in person before I make any final decisions.
Here's what I like / dislike about the two of them.
    1. COUGAR'S removable table is an outstanding idea, even if it cuts down on leg room. It's also more stable than the wobbly one in the Reflection. Score one for Cougar!
    2. GRAND DESIGN does a far, far better job on giving you tremendous storage space, even without a wardrobe in a slide. I'll take more drawers over a Tootsie Toaster any day of the week. And the way they designed that under bed storage is fantastic. Score one for Grand Design!
    3. COUGAR'S bright white interior is really nice, and makes for a very roomy feel. However, I really do like the warm, brown tones of Grand Design! I could easily live with either interior, but I'm going to give a slight nod to Cougar. Score one for Cougar!
    4. Yep, I tried out the mattress on one of the Grand Designs, and I was impressed! It' didn't suck! Score one for Grand Design!
If any of you folks out there are interested in ANY Grand Design, try and find a way to the Quad City Bish's, as they have an AMAZING selection! You really need to see these in person to appreciate them.
SPECIAL REQUEST: the next time you are at the Quad City Bish's, please do a video on the GRAND DESIGN SOLITUDE 390RK. It's too big for me, but it is the MOST AMAZING big fifth wheel I've ever seen.
Thanks again for all you do Uncle Josh!

Great Review Josh, been following you for a few years now and enjoy your reviews. We looked at the Cougar 24 RDS and then the Reflection 260 RD. We went with the Reflection for a number of reasons. It had a very nice pantry and 6 large drawers when you come in to the RV, and did not need the fireplace. We liked the 3 person recliner and the ( 2021 ) 12cf fridge. The last thing that kept us away from the Cougar, is that Keystone does not have any National or State Rallies. That was a BIG draw for Grand Design as well as their traveling RV Techs that attend all the State and National Rallies to do emergency and recall repairs, and given time will take care of other problems. My wife and I get a kick out of all your videos, even if we are not buying things right now. Thanks

Excellent review. Really appreciate the honesty.
If I came home with this beauty, but my Darling, not being able to get to the bathroom in travel mode, would land me in the Big D 🤮
I have a similar floor plan with a rear door. It came with the same steps. The problem was that because so many rv sites aren’t level I would have to add two additional steps just to get to the bottom step (if that makes sense). So I had to upgrade to the Torklift steps. So for me those bottom stabilizers, although an excellent feature, simply don’t work.
Really like the kitchen, tankless hot water heater and many other features on this rv.

Literally hours before this notification showed up, I saw an older one in a parking lot and it peaked my interest. I'm not one for fifth wheels because the giant RVs aren't for me but they seem to be getting more reasonable (either that or I'm thinking longer term as I get closer to retirement). So you're timing is amazing!!
    1. "Storage Galorage" is a very technical term... I agree that swapping a couple drawers for a cupboard would be a good trade.
    2. As stated, that solar is not near enough to run that behemoth fridge. Seems they should have either included more solar or put in something smaller.
    3. Loved this until I went back to watch the Cougar... wish it had the table on the U-dinette but prefer the Cougar over this.

Josh, I called Grand Design with a recommendation. I currently have a 17MKE and looking to upsize to the Reflection 150, 260 RD.
I have two suggestions. 1. Dimmable lights. The way the lighting is set up in my MKE and the 260 RK is all on or all off. There is no independent light over the sink . The light over the theater seats is all on or all off. It would be nice to have dimmable lights. In the evening, it would be nice to have soft lighting.
    2. Is the door window. I had that window with a shade added to the MKE. The Reflection does not have the shade either. Once the door window with shade was installed on the MKE, we reversed the direction, so the shade went up rather than from the top down. This allows you to see outside and still have privacy.
We enjoy watching your videos and appreciate the reviews and candid presentation.

I could see where the dinette table mount may cause issues with the table flips during the Monopoly games.
    Cheers!

The U dinette would be a deal breaker. Change it to a traditional booth dinette and it's a good layout. I would maybe even add a peninsula (bonus prep space and/or breakfast bar) at the end of the kitchen under the ET center. With a small electric fireplace in the end facing the sofa/theater seating.
Oh! And maybe on the back side of the peninsula (next to the door, under the peninsula) install a washer/dryer combo)
Man! I'm good at this design stuff. 🤪

Me and my wife just a couple weeks sgo looked at this model very seriously. Without saying the name of the company ( it a brand new facility in Newtown Ct) . They assured me i was good when it comes to towing this with my 2013 Toyota Tundra crew max short bed truck. Then when i got back home i found that the pin weight (empty) was almost a 100 lbs over my trucks total capacity. Needless to say we had to back out of our interest into this model. They would have sold me this camper no problem knowing what i have to tow it with. Half ton truck owners really should listen to Uncle Josh when He advises you on half ton towability... because most salesmen won’t.

Okay, observation from someone in a wheelchair who doesn't get the opportunity to camp. Notice how putting this layout together gives more floor space, or those that still use recliners or chairs have more floor space. Beyond a place to put your feet. Who considers kids? They get down on the floor, they play with things, they have toys, a place to make a small pallet. Not every camper requires seating space or can use it :)

I love the layout of this. The Cougar is my favorite so far. I like the lighter colors. There is also a Rockwood that is pretty similar I like. The bathroom for big guys like me is the one concern. I would remove the vanitey above the toilet for sure. I like the movable tables better in the living room area.
I am trying to decide between a 5th wheel and a trailor in the next year and this is the layout I love on both. Thanks for the walk through.
With Grand Design, Cougar, and Rockwood would you say one is the highest quality? I heard a few things on this that I like like the tape is better. I also like the Cougar has a fulltime warranty I am leaning that way a bit. In the Rockwood they have the Shower Miser, the camp kitchen, and the construction looks really solid.

Thanks so much Josh. A timely review of one of the models I'm considering. You answered most of my questions, including if the sofa was long enough to lay down on for the occasional guest, because lets face it, it is easier to throw a blanket and pillow on the sofa then make up the dinette for sleeping.I wish we had seen the inside of that huge 12v fridge, which I think is a winning feature and may be a good match for cross country longer duration road trips, part of my plan to visit every national park in the lower 48. I think the short length for easier towing and getting into sites along with the big fridge, counter space, and comfy looking sofa, along with a huge U dinette for rainy day card games and work space sets this model apart. And one more question.
Was that a rack and pinion slide, letting me open the slide partially to squeeze into the bathroom or bedroom if needed?
Thanks, your one of the best uncles I know. hahaha.

Similar Road Mode makes both of these awash; however I do T care for or need the electric fireplace, I like their floor vents based on better placement than most, both have carpeted bedroom which I don’t mind, nor is it really a problem in slides if only under the couch (as it’s only when under the dinette or floating dining table is it a problem) plus the Cougar as a free floating table to be used over by the couch for a Dinofa 🛋 = both nice but no cigar for me 😐🫤

Watched this video. Then went and watched the Cougar video. Then came back here again.
After looking at both I really prefer the Reflection over the Cougar. One thing is the interior colors. I’m not a white interior person so that’s an immediate turn off.
But beyond that the Reflection just offers a lot more. A longer couch. Tankless water heater. Bigger fridge. I’ll take the extra storage over the fireplace. Kitchen counter top extension. I like the way they did storage in the bedroom better too and one less slide is in this case a big plus. True Queen vs Camp Queen. Short bed doors to access the under Dinette storage. BTW Josh I didn’t see an outside access door for the back of the dinette that you mentioned. Did I miss it? Goodyear and TPMS standard. Camera standard. I also love that the Reflection makes use of the height in the kitchen to offer more storage rather than leaving it wasted. There may be more but that’s quite the list already. By Comparison the Cougar offers the fireplace. Frankly I can buy a tower electric heater and that will do the same thing the fire place does. But the Cougar owner can’t add drawers.
One place I think both fall down is their slide outs. Those are both big heavy slides and frankly they should both be rack and pinion slides. Between Schwintek and Cable? Hmmm not sure which I trust more.
Another factor is who the builder is. Grand Design has a well earned reputation for customer support that goes above and beyond. For example my out of warranty 2 year old Imagine recently had the pull cable for the black tank dump valve fail. The cause was that it had been installed improperly at the factory. I paid for the repair and then reached out to Grand Design. You know what they did? They covered the cost of the repair.
    Keystone? Not so much.
And frankly this brings me to my final issue. Keystone and how they price options. For example you reviewed another Cougar a while back that offered Goodyears and TPMS in a package. But that package was so expensive that a consumer would have come out hundreds ahead buying and installing those items post sale at full retail price. Their upgraded solar packages are similarly priced so high that you could have the same components installed post sale and save thousands of dollars. I have an inherent problem with a company that does business that way. It sends a loud message about what their ethics and values are and what I can or can’t expect from them after they have my money.
In this case I see the Reflection as a dramatically better unit. But even if they were a dead heat or the Cougar slightly ahead I don’t see myself buying a Keystone product.
