I’ve had to learn that lesson a very hard way. I am a narcissist magnet. 😭
I wonder if Christina being an empath has something to do with all the weird things she's had happen since covering the Chris watts case.
being an 'empath' is usually a direct result of dealing with those type of people in my experience. so of course abusers would latch onto us, the road has already been paved for them. were usually already overly tolerant of abusive behavior, so its just welcoming crappy people in with open arms. being an 'empath' is lovely sometimes, but its definitely a double edged sword

You’re so right with the anger part!!! The amount of times I’ve had friends who are so nice to me but when they’re angry and sometimes not even at me, they switch totally! It’s such a hard part of making friends in general!

Thank you for this Christina! I am a shy person and every time I was incarserated I had the hardest time making friends and have made so many mistakes with who I've talked to. I honestly felt like I was invisible sometimes because nobody wanted to talk to me. But when your a short timer in a dorm with old timers and timid I had a hard time. Not going back though!

My first video I ever came across was at around 17k and I subbed. However 30k sticks out to me too bc it was around then that I realized YT had unsubscribed me from your channel and I had to resubscribe TWICE just for it to stick again. Smfh. Wack as hell. It's insane how quickly your channel has grown though I couldnt believe it when I saw the 400k! Never been in jail or prison but I love your personality, but I’m hooked on your channel: a guy who was a foster kid in our house when I was a teenager was in prison for a few years, I did go visit him in prison once it was a very intimidating experience, luckily my dad went with me to see him. He was in one of California’s worst prisons-Pelican Bay on the coast almost to Oregon.

I've watched the whole video (whilst flooding the comments oops) but although I've never been to prison, these tips will help people in there everyday life too, such as making friends in there workplace. I'm so grateful for this video and best believe, I was clapping after every point because you speak the truth, I love you!❤️❤️
These are good tips for making friends on the outside too. The gossip one is soooo important as if someone is constantly gossiping about others they will gossip about you too.

The "watch how they treat other people" advice is something I wish I knew when I was a teenager. I became friends with someone who treated one of his other friends badly. Later, I realized how bad his character was and he eventually turned on me. I avoided him for years. One hot Summer day while I was jogging, his car screeched up next to me and he came out and said hello. His girlfriend was in the car and he yelled at her to stay inside. It was over 100 degrees that day and that reaffirmed to me what a jerk he really was.

This is all good advice. I feel like I kept all of this in mind in jail. Also, with sharing, if you don't use something give it to someone who does. I have never eaten breakfast so I'd take my drink in the mornings, but I'd give my food to my cell mate and it was really appreciated.
