I'm so glad that you're giving us the REALITY of prison!!! It ain't no TV SHOW in REAL PRISON!! I can't imagine constantly being SO hot, sticky, sweaty, AND flies on top of that!! And having to rush to eat. And never feeling clean. And getting yelled at when you aren't even doing anything wrong!! Only the strong survive...😫😫😫Whew!!!

My cousin has been in and out. He doesn’t care. It’s terrible and he will complain. But back he goes because he can’t control his anger. I hate it for him. I really do. But nothing the family does helps.
How can there not be air conditioning in the prison? I just feel like that is completely inhumane.

Ever since I started watching you, when I wake up in the morning I think of all the women waking up in prison and say a prayer for them. I was curious if you think about them when you wake up? Or is it something you’ve blocked out of your brain?! Hope that makes since!!!

amanda atha even if they’re there for a good reason do they not deserve a prayer? To help them realize their wrongs and come out of prison a stronger person instead of having it break them? Idk that’s just how I think but I also respect your opinion!

Your stories have really helped me put life into perspective and feel gratitude every day. I never went to prison, but I’m a young woman who’s escaped an abusive household (which is a prison in its own sense). Your attitude towards working hard and being present and positive has made all the difference in my life and I can see that it has a positive impact on my coworkers as well. Justin S My uncle has PTSD from three months in the hole. He beat up a guy who was trying to rape him, he got put in the hole and the guy didn’t 🙄 but anyway he gets night terrors when he dreams about prison and I’ve been with him in an enclosed space where he snapped and thought he was in the hole. I’d compare it to soldiers who’s PTSD gets triggered from loud noises and such.

Wow...just hearing about the flies part and the shower situation made me thankful to have a clean, private bathroom at home. I’ve worked at a market before and have battled flies, but I know your experience was on a whole other level. Just in general, the flies made me cringe. Bless you for sharing your story! It is way too hot in the south to not have AC in prisons. That is scary. And miserable! Sure, people need to do their time, but that's torture with the humidity!

It would be great if you were able to share this with kids in school and let them know that it's not what they think it is. It's not a glamorous life to live in prison, to do the crimes that will cause you to go to prison. I am so amazed by your testimony and how God spared you and allowed you to give this testimony. No one else has our story. Our stories are our testimonies and each of us are made differently and we have a different walk. Not everybody's walk with God is the same. I want to tell you that you have blessed me with your testimony.

April Lockaby Radford none in most Missouri prisons also. They just have a big fan at the end of the hall or in the open bay
April Lockaby Radford it’s still like that in male prisons in Florida my friend was just moved to another prison but he has ac there it’s so cruel!!
April Lockaby Radford texas doesn't either it's even worse gets easily 100 degrees before 11am and until like 7pm but it drops to maybe 80 if you're lucky at night

And the baby daddy was in county jail in Palm Beach the one on gun club road and he was freezing there so they got something that they got cranked up you would think they would want to keep it as cold as possible to eliminate bacteria

I'm from norway and the guards say that they try to treat people like "what if they turn out to be your neighbor" type of way. Plus the prison themselfes look better than many hotels in the US

Tora stray Norway prisons should take prisoners with minor offenses, offenses that dealt with trying to save a person, or self defense. I hope those bad ones aren’t getting luxury.

I get people in prison are there for a reason and “lost luxuries” of outside life but why is it they don’t make it livable? No it doesn’t need to be fancy but shit the Florida heat you need ac and the bugs are unsanitary like that should be controlled. Prisoners shouldn’t be treated like if not worse than animals.

Ugghhhh i cant believe they'd have people wasting their time out there grounds keeping the exact same area where theres nothing new to do! EVERY prison should have a huge garden and orchard. It would be soo easy to get some fresh food growing everywhere and a lot of people would like to work on something like that. Even if it was just one crop like spinach or something, ugghhh F the government and their using prisons as a business instead of making an effort to make them more self sustainable

I may have told you before but I am very sick. I’m on palliative care. I also have to be fed through a feeding tube and port. I live in constant pain all over and am often bed bound due to the severity of my illnesses. I’m sharing all of that because I want you to know that you have made such an incredible impact on my life. It’s very isolating to be sick and stuck in bed but when I watch your videos I feel like I’m talking to a friend! Thank you so much for all your hard work! You are amazing! ❤️🥰
These stories are so interesting. You are such an inspiration for going through so much and getting so far now. I've never been to jail or prison but I have spent some time in a psych ward in the 1980s. I have some stories of abuse, staff who shouldn't have been working with kids with mental issues, etc. Obviously it was nothing like prison but I imagine the feeling of being trapped with no way out is similar. It's one of the worst feelings ever even if the place itself isn't that bad. As soon as you know you aren't allowed to leave even your favorite place in the world becomes a living nightmare.
This is helping me bc my daughter served about maybe 5 total years, in GA, the two times she went to prison and that’s been about 6 years ago maybe? She still hasn’t shared with me about her time and I didn’t Make Her tell me, but I told her I was always here if she ever wanted to talk! Now I know why she never shared her experiences with me! And we’ve ALWAYS been close!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! ❤❤❤
