    100% accurate. The worst day of my life was going to intake. Traumatizing. I still have issues with my bladder from that ride. Everyone was crying and begging to go pee and peeing on themself. Grown women peeing on themselves... it was insane

      Same!! I went to Baltimore City Jail.. and they put me in the back of the wagon,dead ass summer, hot as hell..no there's no AC..they picked 3 other girls up and drove us around Baltimore for hours just cause they didn't feel like doing paperwork right then! My wrists were bleeding from the cuffs.. one woman pissed herself she had to go so bad! The intake was the worst part I think!!

      Yes..and this should be the effing television shows. That might actually get thru to the YOs and help others think hard before ever taking that chance that could land them in there. From what I have seen, TV makes it sound like a street sorority or propaganda that people are treated decent inside. Someone told me the other day that "inmates have it better than a lot of people..medical care, 3 meals a day, a roof, and have the ability to learn skills/take "free" classes. I was like.."yep..I used to believe that too".

      It should do way more than that. It should compel us, as a society, to ensure this NEVER happens to any human being. It's viciously cruel. It's plenty punitive enough to simply be locked up and have one's freedom taken away. What she experienced was torturous, traumatizing, damaging to health both physically and mentally ... Since many of these people were there due to trauma from childhood, it was re-traumatizing. It's sickening and embarrassing that we treat HUMAN BEINGS like this.

    I’m from Norway and people always say that prison here is like a hotel, I didn’t really believe it until I saw a documentary about one in a city called Halden. I saw prisoners getting their own room with a tv and bathroom, good clean food, different programs prisoners can attend, education opportunities, library, a room made up like a grocery store etc. I mean it was just insane to watch, and the most surprising thing to see was how respectful the guards were. In the common room the guards would even be sitting having conversations with the prisoners.
    They focus so much on rehabilitation and explained that not being able to live in the free world for however long is the punishment, the goal is not to punish and seek revenge as that would only lead them to inflict more pain on themselves and others once they get out.
    This treatment as explained in the video is freaking crazy and should only exist for the lowest of the low.

      There are quite a few inmates who come out of prison that have PTSD after spending time in there.
      Mainly it depends how long an individual is exposed to that daily environment & treatment. The more years that go by, the worse it becomes for that person to reintigrate back into society. And there are some experiences that you just can't get over easily.

As we were riding, the Marshall went to a gas station to get whatever. When he got back into the van he hand me two Tylenol extra strength. I was so touched I started to tear up. I'm in recovery from opiate addiction I've been clean since May 13th 2017 and watching you and Christina has really changed the way that I view myself. I only went to jail for 10 days for driving on a suspended licensebut other things that I did when I was on opiates people still judge me for they don't think that I have changed where I was able to change. But you and Christina have both taught me that it doesn't matter what other people think that as long as I know I'm doing the right thing for myself my fiance and my children that's all that matters I just wrote a comment on her channel and thank her I woke up this morning for the first time in a long time and I actually feel good about myself and the person that I am now and I'm not worried about what other people say so I just wanted to say thanks. You know how people judge you even after you're in recovery and I had a really hard time with it. But now I feel a lot better because I love you too so thanks. I've been watching Christina since about eight thousand and I was with you before you had 1000. I hope both of you have nothing but success in life you really are touching people and changing lives! Thanks again! I hope you have a great day!

    • @desireeb10
      @desireeb10 4 года назад +1

      Right but sadly it’s all true... once u belong to the state u basically lose your rights intelligence (according to COs ur a dumb pos no matter what) and lose respect/dignity. Yes jails/prisons have rules and regulations but they aren’t followed COs do what they want when they want and there’s nothing you can do about it. If ppl report things their lives will be made like a living hell worse than it already was and if investigated guess what COs know ahead of time even though they’re not suppose to suppose to be random but it isn’t and they straighten things up real quick those inmates that reported or give problems will be placed in the hole (isolation) while investigation is taking place. So everything checks out no issues all rules followed and they leave within couple hours and after they walk out door it’s back to the bs.

    • @desireeb10
      @desireeb10 4 года назад +1

      Then they wonder why most ppl reoffend they set you up for failure they want you to mess up they need the prisons and jails full that’s how they make their money and that’s what it’s all about. If you’re not an addict or a true criminal and sent away for petty stuff after u serve ur time you’ll either be an addict or walk out institutionalized. Basically you come out worse than you went in. It’s sad! Look up jails on Europe Netherlands Finland Sweden etc etc those are literally like a nice hotel COs treat inmates with respect one I saw soon as they walk in door officer is there to shake there hand and greet them. They don’t have cells they have rooms with their own shower tv fridge looks like a studio apartment designed by ikea. They have nice gyms pool tables table tennis. They aren’t handcuffed it’s amazing check it out on here.

      Prison is not designed to rehabilitate. In other countries, prisons are treated like regular people and what do you know, they are much less violent and have less recidivism. If you treat people like they're animals, that's how they're going to act.

      I'd also be interested in knowing what goes on in an average day of a prison. Im not talking about fights etc, im curious about jobs and other things. For example: Does everyone get assigned a job? Is it right away? You mentioned courses and classes are few and far between how does that work? Do you do your job everyday? How much downtime do you have? Basically i'd like to know the day in the life of an inmate.

      What she is explaining is exactly how it is here. The powers that be don't care about us. We the people, in and out of prison, are nothing but a number. They live their cushy lives while we the people are their slaves. Seriously. And folks wonder why we are such an angry set of people? The powers that be care about nothing but money. Money is their God. Watch the movie "Hunger Games'. That pretty much sums it up.

    • @JustHuntr
      @JustHuntr 3 года назад +2

      And once you have been in their system it is hard to get out. They know we don't have the money to take things to court. They get paid to lock us up. So they will either Trump up the charges or make up a charge. The public defender (public pretender) works for them. Their job is to strike a deal with he prisoner so the case doesn't go to court. BUT the judges are suppose to take an oath of

    • @JustHuntr
      @JustHuntr 3 года назад +3

      The county jails get paid $100/day for each prisoner. The judges get bonuses for each prisoner that gets locked up, which is illegal bc that makes the prisoner a "financial interest" and anytime a prisoner is a financial interest the judge is supposed to recuse himself/herself. They don't though. Any agency where the prisoner/detainee is a financiL interest is supposed to recuse themselves, but they don't. They are all so crooked. The problem is, is that folks don't take time to READ their rights! If they ever start looking into it and stop allowing things like the TV or RUclips to take up all of their time, the powers that be will be in real trouble. What they are doing is writing the rules while breaking rules that have already been written. Its treasonous!
