I recently quit after 10yrs with Indiana Dept. Of Correction. It is sad that sometimes I felt "safer" on a wing with 100 inmates during inside rec then around 5 to 8 staff members sometimes.
That's true in many cases. I think some care and want to help, others would have liked to have been cops are army sergeants but yes feeling they have control is a big motivator. I knew one who used to have a bad job in customer service and she said if inmates complained to her she told them it was tough@@jawant6039

Honestly, that guy being given 30 years for the assault/kidnapping is amazing. I work in the legal system and in other non-southern states that man would serve maybe 5-7 years tops. Not to mention, if they get out early on "good behavior." The way our legal system handles rape is deplorable.
Asherlynn252 I’m from Ireland, and I know of somebody that killed murdered somebody in the first degree less than 15 years ago. He was meant to serve life but he’s from a small town originally and word has got out in that town that he is out on good behaviour with a new identity the past few years. Media says he’s still in prison but there’s right to believe he is free. The Irish system is a bit of a joke, as is the UK system!
I find 30 years if served to the end are really "tuff enuff" for rape. I do not understand her problem with this.. 5-7years I find sketchy, given that we "survivors" get a lifelong sentence of fear and anger
@@lillimango51 Lili Mano, I was kidnapped and raised at gunpoint, gun fully cocked, so terrifying, cops knew him, he just got out of psych ward, I slept for years with light on, tv on, any man around, this is 58 years later- did you read that? My heart still pounds when I write theses words. Matter of fact I just started writing them 2 years ago, no face to face. No conversation, no photos. And I'm now 68. And I'm still afraid. And now my head hurts.
Omg yaaas been waiting for this 😍 shout out to the CO for opening up about this, what a cool inside peek at what it’s really like and not just what they show on the TV!!
My husband has several friends that are CO's and we live in a state where we had an oil boom five years ago and the cost of living sky rocketed literally overnight. It eventually crashed but our cost of living stayed the same. His friends get state benefits but their monthly salary after taxes is under $2k. You can not survive on that especially where I live it's ridiculous.
I love that you never carry around bad blood and see that every CO is different and don’t have time or energy for hatred of a group that contain people who made your life worse at a point in time. This is why you’re my role model!
Christina Randall you always respond to comments. Makes my day honestly knowing you always spend time reading and replying, glad you’re so down to earth!
OK CUTIE IN THE TURQUOISE! 😍🥰 thank you for sharing things that are hard for you to think about, its so important to say it so people know how badly things need to change, ready for Part 2. 💖❤️
So I figured out who Christina reminds me of - Dolly Parton. Both beautiful, down to earth(?) 😍 women with big hearts. Thanks a lot for this video Christina, I was looking forward to it. 💜
Just because she reminds her of dolly, doesn't necessarily means looks wise, possibly their personality it isn't always about looks. You can have plenty of other traits that reminds you of someone. Anyways why bring women down they are both beautiful women doesn't matter who's pretty or whatever that's the problem with people they judge way too much off looks.
It really is sad that people in the helping profession(social worker here) do not get paid enough. Risking our lives for very little paid and having to go through so much training and education is tough. Great video! Can't wait for pt. 2.
I so look forward to your videos- my boyfriend is a CO! We live in NY but it’s pretty much the same crap everywhere! As a recovering addict I can see both sides to everything so it puts me in an interesting spot a lot of times, lol xoxoxo!
Now THIS is the way to facilitate change! I am absolutely THRILLED by the content you've brought to this platform. Hearing from two people whose circumstances brought them together in conflicting roles, who shared many similar experiences from completely opposing perspectives is a real gift, AS WELL AS a WORKING EXAMPLE of what can be achieved on a large scale for necessary reform. Kudos to BOTH of you! Christina, THANK YOU for starting this series. (Believe me, you just created something whose growth will prove bigger than all of us, and I can't wait to be a part of it!) 😊👊👏⚡🎆📣📷💟
You should definitely do this type of interview with a prison nurse! My mom worked at our local prison as a nurse & she has told me some crazy/sad stories. As a nurse myself, the way she has described the attitudes & behaviors of some of the other nurses & medical staff makes me so angry. I think this could bring a lot of awareness! Love you Christina!
My dad was a prisoner with a degree. He had a wonderful job, very intelligent, and made good money. He did deserve to be in prison but it makes me sad he wasted his potential
You two ladies are so special, RUclips is so lucky to have you both to teach us what goes on in prison, I am sorry you both have gone through so much. So now that you both are away from the prison enjoy your precious families ❤️❤️
as a dad that’s been to jail and a mom that’s a nurse at a jail and a stepdad that’s a police officer all these videos are so intriguing to me. even though my mom only works at our county jail there has been WILD stories from her. from having to cut down a lady that hung herself from her bed sheets to someone writing he was going to violate my mom on his cell wall written in his own feces, these videos are just so interesting to me. these stories are so crazy and sad and wild and i love it. i just found your channel today and have bingeing all your videos, glad to be one of your new babies hehe (: keep up the great work and content! so proud of where you’re at and how far you’ve come❤️🤪
Great video y’all. She is absolutely the perfect interviewee for your channel. Both of you are stunning! Glad to see someone who was on the other side of corrections to show viewers what it’s like inside. It was so nice to wake up to this :) thank you both
I'm not totally sure how I arrived at this channel. I'm guessing it's because I watched Joe Guerrero's "After Prison Show" RUclips channel a few years ago. I do have two comments: 1.) I really appreciate the *COMPASSION* that you both show here! You really seem to care about people! 2.) Christina, I'm glad that you *SEEM* to have survived your prison experience and that you are showing such *POSITIVITY* in dealing with some of the topics on your channel.
between this video and your last, ive made the decision not to fight this specific girl. i really, REALLY wanted to whoop her, but here the rules and enforcement are strict, and i do not want to experience the YO life, nor do i want my family to have to deal with the consequences.
vbm You’ve made the right decision girl! It says a lot about you that you’ve thought about the consequences and decided that fighting her isn’t worth sitting inside. Nothing is worth your freedom. Please remember that. 💙
It’s unbelievable how different it is when you are an employee of your states DOC and an employee of a privatization company who is contracted by the county. During the 4yrs I worked as CO, I had zero write ups, zero incidents in my units, received EOM several times and received exceeds expectations on my annual reviews, I never received any raises in pay and was paid less than the new hires. Being a CO is not as easy as people think it is. During the course of my employment, my anxiety was out of control and I wasn’t even able to bring my anxiety medication into the facility and because of the environment I was in and not having the support of my superior officers during shift, I developed PTSD and heightened anxiety levels. It’s especially hard for female officers who have to deal with the sexual harassment, sexual innuendos or threats of sexual assault on a daily basis with ZERO consequences and there’s nothing you can do but endure it every single day. It eventually got so bad, I had no other options but to resign from my position, just to save my own personal sanity. The one good thing that I took away from the experience was that I did make a difference in several other peoples lives and have had their families thank me for treating their loved ones like an actual person and not a lost cause criminal. So there’s that.
Ok first off she is gorgeous (and of course you are too! 😉) and I’m loving her hair! Her story is incredible and I’m so glad she interviewed with you! ♥️
I love how when she talked about some inmates being super smart, she said “you’re not done”. Just that one sentence shows a lot about her. She is caring, and really wanted to help and make a difference. I hope whatever she is doing now, she gets to help and have an positive inpact on someones life because she will make a difference.
Wow that’s so messed up that last story , only 30 years for THAT !? It’s disgusting what some people get away with . Thanks for sharing this , she’s so beautiful 🖤 can’t wait for part 2
I love listening to you speak, your voice is so nice and you never trip over your words or stutter it all just comes out really smooth and flows really well
@philbyification 8 degrees Celsius in my part of Australia atm. Last few nights only 3 degrees Celsius and under. Some peoples bird baths have frozen over lol
Just a thought...why aren't male guards exclusive to male prisons and female guards exclusive to female prisons? Wouldn't it prevent stuff like these and also sexual relationships between the guards and prisoners that can lead to pregnancy? I don't get it please explain!
I also wanted to say thank you, Christina. Really. These video can be SO helpful... And I hope they truly will be. I admire every one of you, who has spent time in prison and finds the strength to speak about it the way you do. You are doing a very good job

I can't wait until tomorrow. I have a cousin who is a CO at a county jail, she just made sergeant. Then my son has a friend who's dad is a CO, at a state prison. They both deal with.significant understanding and low pay. I have mentioned before I have an uncle who is a sheriff and another cousin who is a detective. I can't imagine doing any of these jobs. I loved hearing these stories. I will see my CO cousin on the 4th of July. I will tell her to contact you. Hearing stories from other states would so cool. Hugs.
My dad was CO for a year or two and he went out with the prisoners who did detail. He always talked so fondly about the prisoners he worked with. He even bought them pizza sometimes lol!!!
Ahhh she is so beautiful!!!! 😍 And I love hearing stories that are fresh and up to date.. to see how things are happening now a days. Thanks for filming this video! So interesting! 💞
I was r@ped at my place of work… that sh!t changes you for life. I’ve been able to overcome it pretty well, and now use my experience to help others, but I also got C/PTSD, which can be triggered by things that don’t even seem relevant. Those are the kinds of people that should be behind bars for life… especially if they show no remorse, or - worse still, like in my situation - believe that they were fully justified. Like it was their right to take that from us. They got sent down for a long time, but their sentences were reduced after an appeal. I believe they’re all out now, which is absolutely terrifying.

Demilovatoismyqueen compared to two, three, 4 years
@@lillimango51 Lili Mano, I was kidnapped and raised at gunpoint, gun fully cocked, so terrifying, cops knew him, he just got out of psych ward, I slept for years with light on, tv on, any man around, this is 58 years later- did you read that?
Aw thank you Ash!!! ❤️
Christina Randall you always respond to comments. Makes my day honestly knowing you always spend time reading and replying, glad you’re so down to earth!
She is adorable and so easy to listen to! She’s a great story teller! As always, great video!!
I CANNOT wait for part 2!!!!!i felt sorry for that poor man😢
OK CUTIE IN THE TURQUOISE! 😍🥰 thank you for sharing things that are hard for you to think about, its so important to say it so people know how badly things need to change, ready for Part 2. 💖❤️
Girl,I admire you for getting a CO to come on your channel,it's so interesting to hear directly from a CO!🙌🏻
i love how you show the perspective of not only prisoners but also C.Os. i love watching you give such a detail insight on prison.
So I figured out who Christina reminds me of - Dolly Parton. Both beautiful, down to earth(?) 😍 women with big hearts.
Thanks a lot for this video Christina, I was looking forward to it. 💜
Nana Abdulkadir what a compliment to her 💗 so true!!
She's wayyyyyy prettier than Dolly!
ashleyyy bettz we don’t have to bring other women down to bring others up. 💞
@Mandi W
I think you meant to tag Ashleyyy. This way it doesn't make sense. :)
It really is sad that people in the helping profession(social worker here) do not get paid enough. Risking our lives for very little paid and having to go through so much training and education is tough. Great video! Can't wait for pt. 2.
Loved what she added to the story! She’s a natural!
It’s 10:30 pm in Australia but I saw your video and couldn’t resist. Can’t wait for part 2. ♥️♥️♥️
I so look forward to your videos- my boyfriend is a CO! We live in NY but it’s pretty much the same crap everywhere! As a recovering addict I can see both sides to everything so it puts me in an interesting spot a lot of times, lol xoxoxo!
“Nobody wants to fight the naked guy” 😂😂😂
Now THIS is the way to facilitate change! I am absolutely THRILLED by the content you've brought to this platform. Hearing from two people whose circumstances brought them together in conflicting roles, who shared many similar experiences from completely opposing perspectives is a real gift, AS WELL AS a WORKING EXAMPLE of what can be achieved on a large scale for necessary reform. Kudos to BOTH of you! Christina, THANK YOU for starting this series. (Believe me, you just created something whose growth will prove bigger than all of us, and I can't wait to be a part of it!) 😊👊👏⚡🎆📣📷💟
Good morning Christina & fellow babies!!!! 💕💙 have a great day everyone!!
Hey fellow baby, have a nice day too! 😍
What location is that on your profile picture? The water looks AMAZING!
Zitlali Ceron the Bahamas!!!
Never a dull video with Christina !
Awww her smile when you were saying your intro😍❤️ so cute
You should definitely do this type of interview with a prison nurse! My mom worked at our local prison as a nurse & she has told me some crazy/sad stories. As a nurse myself, the way she has described the attitudes & behaviors of some of the other nurses & medical staff makes me so angry. I think this could bring a lot of awareness! Love you Christina!
HIPAA
My dad was a prisoner with a degree. He had a wonderful job, very intelligent, and made good money. He did deserve to be in prison but it makes me sad he wasted his potential
You two ladies are so special, RUclips is so lucky to have you both to teach us what goes on in prison, I am sorry you both have gone through so much. So now that you both are away from the prison enjoy your precious families ❤️❤️
I love that you show both sides of the coin. Your content is 🔥🔥🔥
Who else LOVES bein ' one of her Babies? Mad excellent content. Gby girls💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Good morning 🌞 it’s rainy out here in Texas this morning so it’s nice to watch a video before and look at it storm ⛈ have a good day!
as a dad that’s been to jail and a mom that’s a nurse at a jail and a stepdad that’s a police officer all these videos are so intriguing to me. even though my mom only works at our county jail there has been WILD stories from her. from having to cut down a lady that hung herself from her bed sheets to someone writing he was going to violate my mom on his cell wall written in his own feces, these videos are just so interesting to me. these stories are so crazy and sad and wild and i love it. i just found your channel today and have bingeing all your videos, glad to be one of your new babies hehe (: keep up the great work and content! so proud of where you’re at and how far you’ve come❤️🤪
Great video y’all.
I do have two comments:
1.) I really appreciate the *COMPASSION* that you both show here! You really seem to care about people!
2.) Christina, I'm glad that you *SEEM* to have survived your prison experience and that you are showing such *POSITIVITY* in dealing with some of the topics on your channel.
Haven't been to sleep yet... watch gramma Christina.. OF COURSE ❤❤❤
Alexis Henry I know I just got home from a 12 hour shift and I have to watch first lol
Gramma? I know its rude to ask,but how old is she.. she doesn't seem that much older than me..
Gramma? She is in her 30's.
I LOVE GRANDMA CHRISTINA !!! love watching every time you post!
between this video and your last, ive made the decision not to fight this specific girl. i really, REALLY wanted to whoop her, but here the rules and enforcement are strict, and i do not want to experience the YO life, nor do i want my family to have to deal with the consequences.
vbm You’ve made the right decision girl! It says a lot about you that you’ve thought about the consequences and decided that fighting her isn’t worth sitting inside. Nothing is worth your freedom. Please remember that. 💙
Thank you for discussing PTSD. Love you Christina! And thank you to this woman for speaking up! YOU both are making a difference!
notification squad ❤️❤️ love you christina! i've been so excited for this video!!
I'm watching this video 1 year after and I love it!!!! Good job Christina and your interviewe is cutest thing ever!
Omg I wish this was an hour long!! I live listening to these stories!! Love u girl and she is beautiful!
Love this video... very interesting hearing the other side of things! Can't wait for part 2!! Love you Christina 💜💙💜💙
Ok first off she is gorgeous (and of course you are too! 😉) and I’m loving her hair! Her story is incredible and I’m so glad she interviewed with you! ♥️
It’s 4:37 am & I’ve been having trouble sleeping but here I’ve been blessed with another video of yours. Thank you for being simply you ❤️
She's so sweet!!! Can't wait for part 2!!!!
Patiently waiting for Part 2.
Thank you again for always bringing light to these situations always bringing the perfect people to your channel 💛💛
I love listening to you speak, your voice is so nice and you never trip over your words or stutter it all just comes out really smooth and flows really well
Whoa! Here for the tea! You’re already making such a change my love and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! Love you mama 💞💞
Those situations do ruin you. I can personally vouch. Great video, Christina! Looking forward to part 2!
It’s late here in Australia but I’ve been waiting for this upload ❤️ I love your channel so much, also so early 😂 love y’all and your content
Reborn’s are my Thing I’m from Australia too. And another reborn channel that watches Christina 😃💗
philbyification 14 degrees Celsius here where I am in Queensland Australia
@philbyification 8 degrees Celsius in my part of Australia atm. Last few nights only 3 degrees Celsius and under. Some peoples bird baths have frozen over lol
ellen s oh right you have winter in July
Watching this while I'm on the treadmill 🤷♀️💖 it's good motivation to keep working out till the video ends.
Just a thought...why aren't male guards exclusive to male prisons and female guards exclusive to female prisons?
Wouldn't it prevent stuff like these and also sexual relationships between the guards and prisoners that can lead to pregnancy? I don't get it please explain!
Learn And Create probably issues with staffing and not enough people applying I would imagine
Women prisons in Florida are primarily run by men they enter your dorm room through the bathroom at Lowell prison in Gainesville Florida
Ive never been to jail but ive been to an all girl juvenile mental hospital, they too have male staffs and the boy facility had women working there
I'm thinking it might be considered discriminatory to only hire one sex or the other.
It's illegal in the US to discriminate based upon gender.
I also wanted to say thank you, Christina. Really. These video can be SO helpful... And I hope they truly will be. I admire every one of you, who has spent time in prison and finds the strength to speak about it the way you do. You are doing a very good job
I cannot wait for the next video!! I really like her, she seems like a really sweet, good person, just like you Christina!! I love how many people you are helping. You show people that they CAN overcome their past, if that's what they really WANT, to do good & have a productive, happy life!! I can't call you Grandmaw because I'm 37, LOL!!🤣🤣🤣 But BIG HUGS to you & yours!!!💞💕💞
P.S. I was crying over that older man that got attacked over nothing! I pray he's doing good now!!😭😢😥
It's not a coincidence that our strongest and smartest are locked up. Thanks for spreading the light 💖
Love the grind and the consistency 💕💯!!!
He even bought them pizza sometimes lol!!!
you use your platform to spread awareness about the most important things and I don't think I've ever respected a youtube as much as you
Awwww tysm Summer! 😭🥰🥰🥰🙌🏼
Just another high quality video! THANK YOU! can’t wait for the rest of it! Y’all are great
Ohhhhh muhhhawd.... part 2 hurry lol!!! Another awesome video gf!!! 💜💜💜💜
I believe they’re all out now, which is absolutely terrifying.
working that 5:30 wake up, thanks grandma Christina ❤️
I love scrolling through the comments and seeing the creator hearts on them. I love how much you interact with us
