Honestly thank you. All the years of skateboarding rails never made sense to me, especially round rails. I get the cross lock. The balance squared made something click that i never took into consideration. I really believe you are the only one ever to word it like that, while showing it simultaneously. I spend more ramp riding then street skating.
Rewatch his video. John said 2 balances at the same time. 1 Balance board on rail and 2balance yourself on the board at the same time. Ive only mentally focused on one without considering i have balanced 2 things at once. I know how to cross lock. My brain took it as lock not balancing board in that position. On a ramp it similar to ledge. Where the rail doesn’t have a solid spot for you to lock in like the ledge does
How much difference could that possibly have made for you? Theres no actionable information there, just some way of describing a problem youve already faced in your years skating rails.
@@thisanthrope666a mental lock can prevent you from learning something for many years, if you can better understand something being explained to you in skateboarding it can speed up that unlock process like a flip of a switch
Yes! Get a kicker! Get some speed and cruise on it. You can pay for the kicker by adding a couple of flatground tricks in a line before doing the rail!
I’ve been really focusing on doing random things that will increase my board comfort. Lost of manual and nose manuals, Ollie north’s, one foot balancing and switch practice. I may look like the biggest poser some days but I’ve been progressing faster than ever before.
Andy anderson has a clip where he grinds to the top of a rail, stands there for a bit, then starts going backwards, and it just looks like real tony hawk game
Hey man! I'm a young skater and watching your videos are the best part of my day- love ur content and wish you the best. Have you got any recommendations for how I should start grinding rails??
The real question is, "is it a bs feeble or FS Smith?" Edit: my dumbass didn't realize his front truck was still on the rail😂 still a good question if it was a feeble/smith
bro is making more skate content then ever after quitting making skate content
ikr it's great 😂 👍
His market is skateboarding so the market decided for him. Pat yourselves on the backs 😆
New motivation since he became a dad
Life isn't like a Tony Hawk video game..
Proceeds to grind a 73 foot rail.
That’s that 40-60 grind
😂😂😂😂
also known as a cross lock but whos counting

what do you mean by balance squared?

Now drag a kicker out there

Frankie Hill style.
He doesn't want It enough
Honestly, I always imagine a balance meter over my head every time I grind a rail.
😭
Frontside Scientologist 5050 grind
💀

The Rail is too High to Ollie onto!
*Gou Miyagi* : "Hold my Saki"
My dude that's insane! So proud of your commitment!
Put a jumper up to it. I wanna see that grind
Andy Anderson disagrees
That's really cool man, good video
That sense of I finally did it at the end. Can absolutely relate.
Love you best influencer skater around
Andy anderson has a clip where he grinds to the top of a rail, stands there for a bit, then starts going backwards, and it just looks like real tony hawk game
Tony hawk used kickers sometimes to do his street skating..now do it off a kicker! THIS IS THPS
those trucks could snap man, the bend was insane!
Not complaining here, but why so many skate content now that you are quitting? Is this archive or planned content?
You could have made the Ollie if you turned on the cheat code for moon gravity.
If you cant ollie it, you dont deserve to grind it
I feel like you could Ollie board slide it
Congrats on the baby man
I believe in you John please Ollie into it
Now do it as a dark slide.
Thats a Gou Miyagi rail right there dude
You’re crosslocked, don’t count 😂😂
Which means with a kicker and 9-12 hours of practice, you could do it
Hey man! I'm a young skater and watching your videos are the best part of my day- love ur content and wish you the best. Have you got any recommendations for how I should start grinding rails??
Just drag over some ply and make a ramp to jump up to it. Onv
bring a kicker to it !!
Bet Andy would make that rail grind him😂
Locking wheels def makes it a lot easier that's the trick in itself
now we need the edit with the thps balance bar above your head 😅
Get up there. Bunny hop son
bro thinks he's Chris Milic
Soap shoes
What's your fav trick?
Mine is ollie 180
It’s just that you’re not Tony Hawk
We need John in the next YSL.
Be a man and Ollie on to it 😂
Use a kicker there’s no shame
We've all seen Houston's Til Death part and it looks pretty easy when he does it..
Balance squared is a good perspective
Speed will also help a ton
what you mean life doesn't work like THPS? did you even try to Benni Fingerflip into Crooks???
Just use a kicker?
Is that rail in NY ?
Balance squared is so real
now put a kicker to it and get it properly
scott pilgrim
A ramp maybe?
now boardslide it
Kook vibes from this dork
Should this count? XD
Why not just add a mini ramp
The real question is, "is it a bs feeble or FS Smith?"
Edit: my dumbass didn't realize his front truck was still on the rail😂 still a good question if it was a feeble/smith
Real life is not like Proskater. Hmmf not with attitude bud.
Balance squared? Lol
Pog
This dude always complains
Belenception
Boursslide it
WHY ???
Mmmm this is cheating if you listen Andy Anderson’s interview😅😅😅
why not use a helmet
