Nice. Now I would install motion censor lights on the back and sides, you could buy little solar powered ones for complete security at night. I'd mount the monitor on the back wall of sleeping area just incase you hear those bumps in the night without having to get out of bed.
Great job you guys! And great timing. As I was driving my Chevy Bolt today (which has the birds eye view camera setup built in), I was saying that I would love this for my Crossfit. I'm adding this to my list of must have mods.
Hank, I'm so glad I ran across this video. I have been looking at different cameras for security in our 27North. It looks like a harder job than I am willing to take on myself though. When I get the time, I plan on taking it to Sunshine State RVs to get the work done.
It appears to have a bit of lag time from when a car passes you and it displays on the monitor. I'd be a bit leery of using it instead of the mirror. I can see it being handy at slow speeds but not so much while under way?
This is EXACTLY what I am looking for. The only thing that I would do is place the monitor in the rear by the bed. I am looking at the Beyond 20C. Thanks for the vid!
Maybe you could do TWO monitors. One for driving and one for security. That would be a decent challenge for these guys. Bet they could figure it out too.
Hank, now that you have had the system for a while, what are your thoughts, especially on the 24/7 monitoring? Would you buy again or recommend something else? Like always, thank you.
Love it! I was just trying to decide what type of security to go with. This is the best I’ve seen. So is it constantly powered on or does the van have to be on? At night I want something to be on all night so I can see what’s outside the van when my motion lights come on.
It’s pretty interesting, the flashing is annoying, but I understand why it does it. I like that it records activity around the van when parked. Thanks for sharing!
The 360 degree camera was a $1050 option from Ford on the Cargo Vans for MY 2023 & still avail for ordering in 2024. I have seen them in person on a W2x and have ordered this option on a W3U. Very similar resulting image as what was shown on Hank's after market solution here with a similar split screen default but Ford's also does single cam views but only w the ignition on. Not a security cam and does not record.
Are you still happy with this bird’s eye view camera system? I am thinking about purchasing it. If you have other recommendations, I would be interested. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks! Jane
Good info, but one soft-critique, and this is common with alot of RUclips instructional videos I've noticed...your viewers need to SEE THE PRODUCT, NOT YOU. There were times when I wanted to see the camera system full screen, but instead, it was minimized in favor of seeing you talk. Seeing you talk is not why I am watching your video. Just a thought. But thanks for the review and commentary.
Plus with the factory Ford option you have limitations, it only comes up automatically in reverse, when you're watching your cameras you can't use the radio really, can't adjust them without being in park, ect, ect. It's sometimes better to go aftermarket
Great video. The benefits of a camera can’t be explained enough. For me and my wheelchair van the ramp deployment was always a issue. I actually paid a extra 7 grand because Toyota doesn’t include Birdseye view except on their top trim model. Also like Hank said entering and exiting a gas station is a concern because of the size and requirement of distance to the pumps. That’s why most gas stations have concrete poles near them. Last I would add maybe being able to log in to the system on a cloud base format. So you could check your surroundings from your phone while beded down if you hear something at. Overall a great addition and video.
Thanks for watching Cujo, good points….it’s funny every time I go to gas up I’m happy for this system based on how crazy people like to pull in their vehicles to the pumps…it would be good to either have a second monitor or to be able to view from a phone app, absolutely agree with that 👍🏾

Good idea
Thanks for the great video. As a solo female RVer I have been looking for something like this. I will definitely check this out, Thanks again!
I'm about to invest $128,000 in a vehicle that will also be my home. I sure as hell won't get it stolen. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thank You John, I know it’s not for everyone, however I’ve always appreciated this type of system on vehicles I’ve driven in the past

What is the best theft deterrent? A warning sticker or not?
Can the vehicle be monitored from outside the vehicle?

Respect thank you for the video and information can you use these cameras while driving

Agreed Coastie…I think we can fix it…or we’ll just connect to the headlights as recommended
Does Ford offer this system like they do in the pickups?
No, they do not offer this.

Where is the camera that sees everything from above?
Exactly what I’m looking to install. Where can I connect with this company and the great person who installed this for you! Please share thanks!

Thumbs up and shared. :)
Thanks Richard 🙏🏽👍🏾
I would wire the front switch to the day lights and the rear switch to the Backup lights🔥💯💪
As someone with lots of experience in this area, it's definitely not my preference especially regarding the delay.
Cool stuff! Is there car add ins like this?
Thank You, yeah I’ve seen a few different ones for cars, this is more of a commercial grade system
how u get birds eye view

2022 Transit has 360 camera with 12” screen as an option.
Not without the upgraded entertainment system in addition to the cost of the camera option.

Thanks, I’m glad we put it in
👍🔔🇺🇸 nice!
Thanks 🙏🏽 🇺🇸🦅
1st BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You 💥
Only thing cooler would be WIRELESS cameras connected to the system.
too bad you can get a stitched 360 view.
You can take a look at the blind spot camera system we developed for the RVs:ruclips.net/video/Eh4rv2mUzO8/видео.html
Stopped at 11 min... looks kinda all F'd Up, SORRY!!!!
That’s definitely your prerogative
