    This is what I want! I’ve been an over the road trucker for 24 years now and buying a 2nd house (ex-wife has the 1st) isn’t going to work for me. I can’t stand the thought of being tied down to just one place. I want to stop and actually enjoy all the places I’ve seen while trucking. This would do that nicely 👌🏻 Great work guys! Looking forward to bringing you a build van👏🏻

    Hey there I'm not as annoyed as the other guy but a rough idea on how much a van like that would cost saves us a lot of trouble but I love this van it's actually kind of perfect I just want something like this with a pop-up top and if you could have them with a pop-up top and still have some kind of rack up top that would be awesome. I'm in the market probably within the next 3 to 6 months so please plug me in to anything like I just described but overall the fan is pretty solid and I like Ford

    Love toilet box. An option would be to have removable bucket with convertible shower feature. Raise curtain stored in box lid to ceiling with integrated shower head. Also buckets with pine pellets (and vinegar/lemon/water spray bottle) are the best IMHO. Use for days, then discard with regular garbage. Lastly, integrate a quiet simple computer cooling fan into box with outside vent for humidity and odour control. 🤓 Great Van!

    What an excellently designed van. So clean and efficient. I love the two tone contrast in the ceiling liner. Personally, I would keep the toilet up front so there is more elbow room, but I can appreciate the option to add additional seating. Has any of your customers opted for a Trelino portable toilet? For full time living I imagine this would be much less expensive to maintain.

    • @gonemobilevans

    the toilet has moved position vs the last few of these i've seen. is that a change going forward? or maybe a customer request? curious about the pros and cons.

    • @gonemobilevans
      @gonemobilevans  2 месяца назад +2

      The toilet in this van moved to the rear to allow for a 3rd seat to be installed where the 42" storage box is. The box can unbolt and a seat can be bolted in quite quickly. Not all clients want or need that, so the more comfortable position for the toilet box is in the forward position. Happy to do either for clients.

    • @gonemobilevans

      @@gonemobilevans You completely missed the point of my post, and your reply provided information that I would already know: I can call for pricing. Well, duh. Again, the viewer wants to know the price of the van shown, to complete the viewing experience. Being elusive about advertising the price, on a video showcasing a specific van, is odd. And, why would you want to waste time fielding calls/emails from people who couldn’t qualify for purchase, unless you’re just looking for leads for a sales list you could potentially sell. You’re also wasting viewers time asking them to email you when a price on the video would save them the trouble. I’m guessing you want to use sales tactics like car salesmen do. Very annoying.

      @@mikam8801 I agree with your logic and found myself feeling a similar frustration when I began watching these videos… For what it’s worth, I called and spoke with Brendan. Super nice guy and one of the least “salesy” conversations I’ve had with a van builder. He came across authentic and very matter of fact.
      The vans he shows on his RUclips are built on a customers van (he doesn’t sell vans, only does the build), so these aren’t inventory units to be sold at a later date (which is what I initially thought before speaking with him).
      All of that said, I agree that sharing the price of the build being shown would be helpful for viewer, even if the van isn’t available for purchase.

    What is the typical GVW of a build out like this?

  • @asaprocky8195
    @asaprocky8195 2 месяца назад

    Are there two different vans in this video? Where is the toilet box that was on the passenger side in the first part of the video, and now that area is occupied by the pull down shower pan? Am I wrong in assuming that in the van with the passenger side toilet box, there isn't any drop down shower pan, therefore no shower in that configuration, as the driver side has the removable wheel well cover for the extra third seating arrangement? By the way, I agree. It would be nice to have a suggested price for the van as shown to give some budgeting considerations for our own orders. What do we buy anymore in this day and age, without some idea of costs? Maybe the buyers of your rigs should post up the prices they have paid for their vans, on a website designed for that purpose, where they could upload pictures of their builds, dates, costs, specs etc. Maybe they can even get paid for filling out the web builder's survey sheet? Why hide a "suggested" price that protects your customer's purchase price, while giving us at least a worst case number to aim at for our budgeting.... dealing with banks, insurance companies, partners, business decisions, etc?

    • @gonemobilevans
      @gonemobilevans  2 месяца назад +1

      There is a clip in the video that shows the shower curtain up and in place that was used from a different build to show how it works.
      The normal location for the toilet box is in the forward location. We changed that for this client so they can install a 3rd seat from time to time. Take out the storage box and bolt in the seat. Most of our clients don't need that option, so the toilet box is in the front normally.
      I'm always happy to discuss pricing on the phone or via email. I do it all day. In the end, there are a ton of variables that can make prices change. We try to build to your specific needs. A conversation helps us fine tune what costs may be for your requirements.

    Hey Brendan, it’s Ian Effie’s cousins husband… whatever that makes me. Got the roof rack and tire mount installed. Thanks for sending those. Van is in paint having bumpers and bottom rocker panel done In Raptor Liner… It’s looking great. Just wondering how the recalls on the transit trail is affecting these for you guys? I opted against the trail and just ordered a normal AWD with pretty much every option that the trail comes with except the lift and the body fender kits. I thought doing the TOPO 3.0 lift would be a better quality lift that factory. Getting ready to cut some windows then run wires next. Love the content.

      There are 2 active recalls on the Trail. Both have no solution. I own a Trail. 1 tire rub 2 electric steering component exposed to weather may cause a failure. Plus, the Trail has a speed limiter and out of adjustment Speedometer, so top speed is 78 mph

    • @peternelson9865
      @peternelson9865 2 месяца назад

      @@parfproduction1345 is the electric steering the same as the regular transit. Does the tire rub with just daily street driving.

    • @parfproduction1345
      @parfproduction1345 2 месяца назад +1

      @peternelson9865 I haven't experienced tire rub. It's apparently happening on 25% of the trails .I've taken her 4,000 + miles 1,000, of which were off road and beach driving. The steering issue, I don't know if it's on just the Transit. I love my Transit Trail. She's always the Dirtiest van I see on our trips , she gets used. The speed limiter sucks sometimes, but I usually drive 70 mph or slower. I just wanted people to know the issues before purchasing one.

    Perhaps a lot of people don't understand that Gone Mobile Vans is a high end custom van builder that builds to what the customer wants/needs.
    You supply the van or have them source it if they offer that, and move on from there based on your needs/wallet.
    For those asking about price, if you have to ask you probably can't afford it.
    If you are on a budget get a used van and check out Wayfarer Vans. They offer installed kits for Promaster and Transit vans starting at 24K they can complete in a day or two. So, in this case it's the price of your van and 24k minimum
    If/when I have the money this is almost EXACTLY how I would spec my van. The only exceptions would be to swap the toilet position and lose the inside shower for more storage. The inside toilet would be limited to dispersed camping for me.
    Most mass produced camper vans are absolute rolling pieces of dog sh*t based on the horror stories of people I have talked to. Edit - and plenty of honest reviews here on RUclips. If I drop 100k plus I expect everything to work and be reliable. I understand there will be minor issues but no way in hell am I buying and Indiana based sweat shop RV brand new.
