When it comes time to cleaning mine, I think I'll stick to using Rem Oil or even WD40. Something about dunking "gun" in water, I don't like. I don't even do that with my fishing reels!
My Byrna has started jamming when I pull the trigger. The barrel goes back on trigger pull, but then will not come back forward. Not all the time. Also, the safety lever seems to get stuck in FIRE sometimes. would this cleaning help?
@@EveryEyeMinistries I had to send my son's SD in because it wasn't holding the final shot in place and they had it fixed and back to us in less than two weeks, 5 days to get there, looked at over the weekend, and on its way back on a Tuesday. It's worked perfectly since. I hope they can get it fixed quickly and back to you so you can keep enjoying it.
Byrna offers a warranty repair procedure. Go to Byrna.com and search repair. They will provide you a label to return it. You just pack it up and send it back for repair.
@@ods1123 The LE is Byrna's most advanced launcher. I have sold hundreds of them, and to date, only (2) have had CO2 leaking issues. They were repaired and working as designed.
@@ods1123The first ones did have some issues, but Byrna fixed them in the later ones and replaced any that had the first issues. I have an LE as well as the limited edition Hi Viz model for military and police and I've put somewhere between 1500-2000 rounds through each and I've only had one jam and it was because of a dented kinetic rounds that I didn't catch when loading. It was easy to remove so it didn't do any harm to the launcher. I've found the Byrna to be a very reliable launcher and Byrna to be a very good company if you have issues or questions about your launcher.
Too many quality control issues over time , to entrust your safety/defense to a "toy" that costs almost as much as a real fire-arm. I love the concept, but adding to the issue that "Pepper Ball" rounds are prohibited in California, why waste the money & put your life on the line? I'm receptive to any real-life situations & experiences.
There are times when less lethal would come in handy. Byrna’s line of pistols are able to at least temporarily stop a combatant giving us time to flee the scene. The Byrna max pepper projectile is effective given the right circumstances.
I live in Commiefornia and was saddened to hear that I can't get the Max projectiles anymore, so am loading them sparingly. Realistically, the Byrna is my first line of defense while camping and fishing. My alternate is at hand though.

I wish this was also in the Bay Area. Very cool
What is your zip code? We ship Byrna’s every where it can be used. No pepper in CA.
@@Ungunn unless you have a license 🪪 to carry them. California has dumb laws

You could try it, but it sounds like something may be wearing out internally. How old is the launcher?
@@Joreel less than a year. They sent me a shipping label for repair/exchange. We'll see how it plays out.

@@Ungunn This is my issue with BYRNA, that you run the risk of having to send it back to make it right.
Byrna has the LE and the SD. They once had a third one. Are they still made?
The SD replaced the HD. The EP was discontinued a few months ago.
@@Ungunn I've seen a few videos on youtube that the LE has flaws. It jams and/or loses energy very fast. Has Byrna resolved those problems?
