- When Seattle's Sadistik hooked up with Atlanta's Kno on 2015's Phantom Limbs, a lot of people saw this as a fairly unexpected collaboration. Sadistik had been grinding his way through the underground since 2008 and Kno had solidified his place within the underground with his work with CunninLynguists. The EP left a lot of fans wanting more so when they announced a new collaborative project in the form of a full album titled Bring Me Back When The World Is Cured, there were a lot of ears that perked up. But can they match the energy that they gave with Phantom Limbs? Is the magic between the two of them still there? Or should this collaboration have been a simple one-off? I love this album from start to finish. Sadistik and Kno mesh well together perfectly. This project is a borderline masterpiece from top to bottom.
My favorite line of all time was on this album iirc. “Parity’s a parity, the parakeets keep parroting everything they hear and see even if it’s Heresy.”
Did not expect a full review for this! Love to see it, you're back on top form with this new studio and all the streams.

Kno is one of my favorite producers at the moment. Always loved his stuff for Cunniynguists. Sadistik is a solid artist as well. Gotta check this out.
Really happy you guys did a collaboration review for a Sadistik album. He keeps on getting better every album and this one did not disappoint. I believe this is the first Non EP he dropped since Haunted Gardens so this really felt like a complete album.

The Sadists know how much work Sadistik puts into his craft. The man is an incredible rapper and poet but doesn’t get the recognition he deserves same with Kno. It’s time to bring Sadistik up in the conversation with the greatest lyricist of all time he has an incredible body of work to back it up. Easily going to be my album of the year. Awesome you guys reviewed it 🤟

I fw Sadistik. But it is hard to get passed the white voice. It’s like…it belongs in another genre. I could easily imagine him performing at the Warp Vans Tour back in the day lol and most people aren’t jacking it. It’s still a black art form. So it is what it is. Sadistik will always be niche
@@dfwherbie8814 Sadistik is like a modern day Shakespeare, most folks need to take classes to understand his lyrics. Hence, a niche audience, and this is what makes him one of the best.
@@printz-of-peepz sadistik is dope. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a fan of the music. But there’s quite a few people that are just as lyrically dense: Lupe is incredibly dense and more technical in terms of not only piecing syllable schemes, but in using metaphors layered on top of metaphors. Aesop Rock is also amazing. Probably the most fluid rapper I’ve ever heard is Homeboy Sandman. It just comes extremely easy for him. He can rap off the dome more complex 💩 than most rapper’s writtens. Billy Woods is also another one who is very dense and using a lot of interesting references as metaphors. Ka is great too. So is Mach-Hommy and Roc Marciano.
@@dfwherbie8814 oh no doubt, there's some other rappers with really deep, gotta run it back a few times to comprehend it lyrics including ones you named, but I just feel Sadistik is on the higher level references more often than I've heard others. I sometimes have to look up what he's talking about, not just run it back. You are right with your initial statement that he is almost in a different genre, to me that's what makes him special and what separates him. Homeboy is pretty good, but I am not a huge fan personally. Harry Mack is hands down the best off top rapper I've ever heard, and I don't think there is a "close" second.

That Vince staples album is dope, I'm sure this is also dope gonna check it out (sorry commenting in real time as I watch). I just gotta say though, I'm really looking forward towards yall review of the new Billy woods album. It's honestly my current favorite hiphop album of the year. I'm really digging this year so far I felt like 2019 and 2020 were great hiphop years but last year was a tad lack luster with the exception of a few, but this year man is really shaping up to be a good year for hiphop.
Just listened to new Billy Woods this afternoon and feel like it'll take ten more lessons to start to fully comprehend it lmao. Absolutely in awe of the project, hope they review it soon too!

Glad you enjoyed this album, been a sadist for years. I met him at a cunninlynguists show opening up, he was a cool dude and appreciated our local artists.
This is one of Sadistik’s best albums. I went into it without expectations and I wasn’t let down. He changes up each album and doesn’t ever seem to give you what you want, but gives you something that’s a work of art.
I’ve been a fan of his for a few years, and he always puts out something that makes me excited for the next project.

First time seeing something by you. Love Sadistik. Discovered him because of Eyedea and his track Michael, about Eyedea and his album Flowers For My Father. The Exception To Everything and Petricor and especially Searching For Some Beautiful.

Sadistik has a way of delivery poetic writing & heavy moody driven topics about The world & make it sound interesting. This one definitely fits into the category undoubtedly enjoyed it from start to finish mostly plays out like a Cinematic movie! Which the more ya listen to it just simply grows & gets better. Rain clouds 1-2, The Earth is empty, Neptune skin and God mode are some of the best songs he’s done. Plus his references are unparalleled!

Favorite tracks (as selected by D.E.H.H.) - "Serpens" (all 5 out of them liked this one). "Godmode" (4 out of 5 liked this one). "Mothlight" (3 out of 5 liked this song). "You Don't Know", "Carnelian", "Raincloud (Part 1)" (2 out of 5 of them liked those three tracks).
Definitely appreciate this review - I would have missed it otherwise!

This is a incredible album from start to finish and I’m really not surprised with Feefo not really liking this album or any of his albums . Feefo is usually the one I never agree with

The album is amazing and one of the few I listen to from start to end. The whole track order is so important on this project
That concept of the devils trial came from interview with the vampire from rass Kass
that concept is literally over a thousand years old, many classical writers have used it as a plot device. Ras Kass song is a classic but I feel liike serpens touches on all of the more pertinent contradictions in this topic and leaves "no stone unturned".. and the song is 3min long compared to Ras's 7min....

I been saying, till I’m blue in the face for over 2 decades that Kno is the Goat as far as producers go, and that CunninLynguists are way, way, WAY underrated AF! It’s great to see them getting at least a little bit of shine & acknowledgment. And Sad the impaler’s pen IS one of the best in the game too!
I'm happy Dead End are reviewing more varied artist and putting the spotlight on dope less mainstream artist.

This album is nothing short of stunning, the closest thing to it this year for aoty is Elzhi imo.
The chemistry Sadistik and Kno have is other worldly, the only pairing that may beat it is Kno and Tonedeff. (Chico & the Man pending).
Serpens (Trial of Lucifer) is meant to be a spiritual twin to The Gates from A Piece of Strange. There's also links to Phantom Limbs in some of these tracks as well.

Would love for Chico and the Man to be released but it’s getting less and less likely. Shame as I think it could become the best album

i ordered the vinyl for this,` and in regards to kno i got my oneirolgy 10th anny vinyl in gray, back and red color which was the first double album that sold out in the mail last week, it took a fucking year to get here but the vinyls looks simply amazing.
edit: i first heard of sadisitk back in like 08-09, i was a core group of top users on tech n9nes forums until it died and because of techs fan base being diverse i heard a lot of different types of artists you normally wouldnt
The amount of times Feefo pulled his corona virus mask up in this one was crazy! That shit dont fit.
The issue I had with Sadistik at first was his delivery, despite the variety in flows it always sounded so monotone to me, which made it hard to care enough about the music to go and listen to the lyrics more closely. In comparison, other rappers with equally dense lyrics like billy woods draw me in with their delivery even before I know what they're saying. But I am finally coming around, I loved last year's L'appel Du Vide and this one even more, and I can't wait to go back to his older stuff, now knowing how to appreciate his style.
I think I had this same issue with Sadistik originally. It felt just kinda bland/off when I first heard his delivery/flow. But as I heard more it really started to click for me and he's become one of my favorite artists across all genres. Haunted Gardens was the first album I heard from him that just blew me out of the water. It's possibly one of my most listened to albums ever. Ever since then I've been back tracking and listening to everything he's put out.
He used to have more inflection, so I can only assume it was a conscious choice.

Honestly I'm a big Sadistik mark and this album was kind of a miss for me, due mostly to Kno's production. Sadistik was on top of his game with the rhymes as always but I just don't like the beats Kno gave him. It's a good project, but not a great project, imo.

Definitely get what you mean. To each their own, but to me this is also something like "hyper intelligent" emo rap at the end of the day. Again, no disrespect but Iam seldom in the mood for this kind of stuff and making it more cryptic it doesn't automatically make it better for me. Just not really my cup of tea, but Iam happy for everyone who enjoys it.
Sadly it isn't my cup so far. Always been a fan of Kno and the Cunninlynguists but this album probably just isn't for me. I never cared much for Sadistiks flow or delivery and probably need a few lessons to get all the stuff he is talking about. One of them rappers that can't say one plain sentence without any "deeper" meaning. No disrespect, I definitely respect that kinda craft but it is often not for me. Also gotta say that English is not my first language, Iam not American and not a super big book lover. So lots of stuff just goes over my head. I sometimes have similar problems with the likes of Lupe Fiasco or KA to name two examples, but I care more for their flow and delivery, content and their sound in general ( that's also a problem here for me, I don't like Knos beats that much on this projects. Somehow they are mostly too "cold" and "clean" for me here.)
Overall it is ok for me to look some things up, but Iam not the kind of guy that wants to look up every hidden meaning behind every sentence or word. Especially when I feel like that what Iam going to find out isn't that important to me or my life anyway. I know Iam exaggerating a bit, just trying to explain my point.
Anyway, definitely will give it a few more listens and see if it grows on me.

Sadistik album was Gabbarge and is not real HipHop and I Know Hip Hop since the days of Kool Herc etc.... This are has no soul , it's not just about rhymes it's about soul...snoop Dogg Doggystyle has soul ..Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth the main ingredient has soul..the type of music sadistik makes feels like it has no soul and sounds very European..shout out to the rappers of today with soul ..Rome Streetz, Moneybagg Yo, Roc Marciano, Rick Ross .. I love DeadEndHipHop. but Mike is definitely the white boy of DeadEndHipHop..please guys remember the soul and funk of James Brown is what inspired HipHop..the black community would never embrace this type of Sadistik style of HipHop.
I admit that I also feel that this one lacks "soul", the rest of what u say sounds pretty questionable to be friendly.
