In the last few years, iodine as a supplement has been getting more media attention, so we wanted to take a moment to unravel some of the mystery around iodine and specifically address the type of iodine that we carry-Lugol’s, and why.
Most of us relate to seeing “Iodized salt” in our local grocery store, but probably do not think much more about it. However, iodine is one of the body’s first lines of defense against infections, and it transports secretions from inside to outside of our cells. It helps regulate the thyroid hormone and much more.
