The Album Flaming Pie by Paul McCartney was co-produced by Jeff Lynne and released in May 1997. Jeff Lynne also played several instruments on the Album... harmony vocal, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboards, backing vocals, spinette, harpsichord. Flaming Pie has been considered one of the best solo albums from Sir Paul. Here is what McCartney had to say about Jeff Lynne at the time : " The collaboration with Jeff Lynne was clearly working. He is a really great guy. He is a smashing guy and you have a good laugh with him. He is a very down-to-earth bloke, you know, football supporter, beer and football. So he is very thorough. Jeff is such an easy-going guy. You know he is a Brummie. We have really good chemistry. Jeff is also a very unassuming person. If you met him in the street you wouldn't know it's him".
Really like this format. As a kid growing up here in England in the ‘80s, i collected The official Beatles Book Monthly Magazine, which was still in circulation then, and this round-up format of new Beatles info reminds me of that brilliant magazine, great work mate👍
"Flaming Pie" coming soon later on this year? Man I hope so. I want a vinyl copy of that classic.

Flaming Pie was a masterpiece in part because it was co-produced by Jeff Lynne. Paul and Jeff's chemistry worked really well. Jeff Lynne played many instruments on the Album...harmony vocal, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboards, backing vocals, spinette, harpsichord...
Sounds amazing and can’t wait for the big Abbey Road box set. Love the Beatles and Paul box sets. I would love Flaming Pie next for Paul but I would really love “London Town” and “Back to the Egg” to complete the Wings period for Paul.
