Man it sucks that two very important people that contributed to the Beatles have died back to back.
Yes, a total bummer. And these aren’t those random distant connections that we hear about… “The dog of John’s second halfcousin...” These were massive influencers. (And both with Hamburg ties!)
I'm right there with you with Tutti Frutti. Rest in peace Little Richard and Astrid Kirchherr
I took my niece to go see Beatlefest when it was in Las Vegas and also see the Love show. While waiting for one of the panel discussions at Beatlefest I spotted Victor Spinetti seated in the back of the hall. We went over to say hello and tell him how much I enjoyed him in the Beatles' movies, especially AHDN. "Let's have it out in the open. I can't stand these backstage politics!" Such a great film... Sadly, Victor is another late Beatle personality. All things must pass... Thanks for the latest news. Russell
So cool that he was there! Glad you got to say hi. Fantastic timing on your part.
I forgot Beatlefest spent some time in Vegas. How was it there? I went to Chicago years ago, but have been trying to make it to another one (NYC this past March!) to no avail.
The ONE reason I have wanted to go to Vegas is for none other than to see LOVE. As a musical and visual artist (and of course Beatlemaniac!) I think it's a wonderful and fantastic production, from the shot video clips I've seen. I really hope I will still have the opportunity to see the show for myself!
Ah, please make it happen if you can. From an A/V POV, the sound is unlike anything else I've ever heard. LOVE's 5.1 mix is a good approximation, but the theatre's level of immersion is unbelievable.
@@FabFourArchivist the hardest part is getting out there of course... Vegas is so far from Kansas City!
I saw Love last year. It was fabulous! I am a lifelong Beatles fan. The audience was great. You could feel the emotion when you sat in your seat. I was crying from the beginning to the end. Lifetime experience!!
Sad beyond words about Astrid going.
And Little Richard, before her.
I'm just floored.
I saw “Love” twice when I was in LV about a year ago. Audiences were probably about 50-60% between the two shows I went to. I’ve seen it 3 times now and is an absolute must for any Beatles fan.
Thanks Murray. I'd love to see it a second (or third!) time. Those attendance numbers jibe with what I've heard. I'm not a Cirque or theater expert, but 50% full doesn't sound great for long-term viability. It was PACKED when I went (2011), but some dropoff is natural.
I saw LOVE in 10/2018. The theater was not full, but u couldn’t move around in the shops after. The SHOW &
SOUND was INCREDIBLE‼️
I saw THE BEATLES in STL 1966. Blessed enough to see Paul 3 times since the late 80s. My BEATLE BUCKET LIST was not complete until I made the trip to VEGAS to take in LOVE. Soooo sad if it doesn’t make it back.

Hey Lance, love your channel. Just wanted to share with you my personal experience with Little Richard. I saw him having dinner back in the 90s at the Spaghetti Factory in Hollywood California and could not help but go up to him to say hello. He was extremely nice and offered me a bible. I'll never forget it. RIP Little Richard.
RIP Astrid.
I saw her twice at the Chicago Fest for Beatles Fans, which in the good old non-corporate-interference days was called "Beatlefest". She was fantastic, answered all our questions and was very nice to all of us. It wasn't like that asshole Micky Dolenz who only made eye contact with the highest bidder. The guy's a greedy, arrogant pig.
The 'Love' version of Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite is absolutely stunning. Wish the whole album was as musically daring and innovative. Still a fun listen though.
I knew about the Beatles from an early age on, but the Love album really turned me on to them. I respect that some purists don't like it, but I think it's a masterpiece.
I have a picture of the boys Astrid herself printed from the original negative (and signed) hanging proudly in my corridor. RIP Astrid.
Oh please, don't close LOVE! I still haven't seen it yet. IF anything, they could at least record the performance on DVD & I'm sure fans would love to purchase copies ...just sayin' . Yes, please keep us posted --thanks! :)
So sad about Love. My son and I hoped to go next year. Love the Love CD.
Fingers crossed that it's just a rumor or will otherwise clear this hurdle.
I see Love every year or two, at least a half dozen times total. They change it up from time to time to incorporate new technologies and acts. I sure hope it keeps going. Keep in mind though, bankruptcy does not always mean closure -- it may just result in financial reorganization.
Great show as always. Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Brian!
Great job, as always! I saw LOVE in Vegas in 2010. Loved it.
The Beatles Love Still Needs to Stay Open in Vegas. The Remix Album was an Amazing intro into The Beatles. I listen to the album on my Fifth gen iPod every day.
Teddy Furstman As much as I love The Beatles, unfortunately, the cost of that ‘Love’ show is almost prohibitive!

@@SueBoo2 Looks about right for a bigger Vegas show. Not cheap, that's for sure.
FabFourArchivist Back in the day, The Beatles LIVE shows didn’t cost that much😕
I saw love on Christmas Eve 2018, it was completely packed. Amazing show as well
Great stuff as ever.
There will never be another group as good!
I saw Little Richard in Sydney, Australia in the mid-1970s. Still the most dynamic show I have ever seen.
Great video as always !!! And yes I did go and see Love win it first came out :). And it was packed … I do think this is a good thing and sad to here about this !!! Take care and be well with all of this :) !!
I would love to see a release of the Glyn Johns remixes
Lance went to 'Love' last June & was very poor attendance. Got the cheap seats & when we went in they had closed off the top tiers and moves is to like the 5th row. Looked worrying then, and I did wonder how much longer it would resume - considering it was there when I was last in Vegas in 2010 too!
I saw Love a few years ago and I'm not sure it was a full audience but it was still busy.
Good to hear. Really hope it bounces back after all this mess.
Hey hey and all of Beatles for sale rocks so hard
Revise The "Love" show by adding Beatle influences at the front end. Add 15 minutes to the show to illustrate their inspirations. It's a great show. I've seen it twice.
Hey man I love these videos. Could you breakdown the recording session and overdubs for Back In The USSR in similat fashion to your Here Comes The Sun video as other sources are quite confusing or keep changing their information in different paragraphs.
Hey Oliver. Thanks for the kind words. That one is definitely on the list. Unfortunately, the list is super long!
@@FabFourArchivist Thank you for the super quick reply. I'm happy to wait just as long as your rolling at more content to keep us going. Being in the UK, I get bored easily now because we're in another COVID lockdown. Your videos have helped me stay sane and learn new stuff about may favourite band since our first lockdown in March last year.
Awesome. That really warms my heart. I enjoy doing this for myself, of course, but it means a lot when others appreciate it.
Recorded some of the new video yesterday. Starting the edit tonight. Should be ready late this month.
I bet he was wondering which Beatle he wanted first, in that pic. A rock n roll kid in a sweet shop. RIP to rock n roll's most original and flamboyant genius.
Hello
So tutti fruitys original ending in the lyrics weren't"a womp bam boom" but "let's go fck".
Please do a video on the hole Allen Klein ordeal, I don't really understand what happened. Why did Paul ended up suing the other 3?
Oy. It may be too convoluted to explain in video form. Not ruling it out, but that guy was such a piece of work, he complicated everything he touched. Maybe someday. Meanwhile, the Peter Doggett book is a good (but long) read on the matter!

The beatles were the best and will always be.
I woke up and read the news on Instagram. I couldn’t believed it
Goodbye
Every show is in trouble. My son just got laid off from Ka’ because MGM Grand is not opening until January.
January?! I hadn't heard that. Wow. Sorry to hear about the layoff. :(
People say what u want, If it wasn't for Lil Richard, There would Never have been no Bestles..They sang all the songs he wrote, and Lil Richard only said spread the love.Lil Richard Never got his props for finding them.Lil Richard had so many struggles,he had to cross hoops and hurdles,AND HE STILL DIDNT GET PROPER RECOGNITION.
This " Love " album should have never been released as a Beatles product , with the exception of the re-do of While My Guitar Gently Weeps . I agree with the late Goeff Emerick , thumbs down . Any bloke can mash up songs together . It's fine that the acrobats use this music , but it should not be passed off as a Beatles product , a Beatles Album . I know that Paul and Ringo approved of it , probably because of Giles Martin being in charge , but it is still a mash-up .
