  • This is an edited and slightly shortened version of our regular Thursday morning ride along Melbourne's 'famous' Beach Road.     I have been using these videos for a few years now and haven't taken the time to comment. I want to say thank you: they are the only outdoor bike vids I can watch without getting motion sick and they help get me through our long Minnesota winters. The messages and music are encouraging and I always smile at the end when I am reminded you just did that without coffee first. Thank you for a quality production.

    Thanks so much, these training videos are the best. As a cyclist and diabetic I sit on my trainer every night to keep my sugar numbers down. These videos make it really easy for me to keep going . Your club looks like you're the kings of the road. When you go past those recreational clubs it looks like they are going backwards. Love the group spirit and the way you go for it. My idea of cycling and fitness.

    Riding outdoors in the mid-west is tricky during the winter. This video provides the perfect beat, great photography and scenery to make indoor riding tolerable. I stayed right with the guys in the green and pink socks - even beat them for a stretch.

    So I arrived on a business trip into Melbourne this week, having ridden these roads virtually I thought a great idea to hire a bike (Bike Now) 👍🏽 and do the ride from city centre to Frankston.
    Three things I learned:-
    1) it was bloody quick on the outwards leg - flew ip the road, although the traffic lights were a real pain red lights every half a mile.
    2) Melbourne has four seasons in a day, luckily took a rain jacket. The problem was on the turk back into town the WIND!!! holy moly it was like cycling into a frigging wind tunnel - sort of lost my mojo half way back solo.
    3) The coffee and company was great, would love to do this in good weather with NO wind.
    Thanks for posting your rides - was a thrill to do this in real life, especially as I traveled all the way from Hertfordshire 🇬🇧

      There's no hiding from the wind on Beach Road (unless you can sit on a bunch rolling turns..)!

    I have an Airdyne bike at home and desperately needed an interval workout to use its maximum potential. I am able to easily match their intensity speeds with my mph. The count downs and intermittent instructions keep me going. These series are great. I also appreciate the fact that they have the different lengths of time. I can adjust my workout based on how much time I have that day.

    At first I did not think that I would enjoy this type of video, but after giving it a try, I found it brilliant. The music is good, the onscreen instructions are clear and the overall video quality and putting together of the video have made me come back for many more.

    I find this one of the best videos for use with an indoor bike. All others seem to overcomplicate it when it comes to effort, cadence etc. Just get on, and get dug in.

    I'm 64 and started cycling a few months ago at home and taking it slow. This moved me up a level! The beat was right. I felt challenged to keep up but also encouraged by the prompts.

    This is really great and I love that whenever you go into higher intensity mode the rider you are tailing moves to the front of the pack. Then in recovery mode eases back down the group. Birilliant.

    Thank you SO MUCH for this. I've had a chronic illness that stopped me cycling 2 years ago and this video sees my return. Tears of joy at the end. Going to be way too familiar with your arses.

      Kimberley-Marie Sklinar me too I have a chronic disease , I use to hit the sports room hard then I got served by reactive hyper insulinism. I Wich you good luck with the struggle and always be strong whatever disease you have , you can boss it with a good mood !

    Great 'Escape' from iso in Melbourne 2020. I grew up in Beaumaris and Mentone. Last time I rode these streets I was with my BF on my yellow hand-me-down REPCO haha! Still knew all the streets. Thanks for the reminisce! Great video thanks!

    I don't have a word, how I thank you?. You video is amazing. Musics are motivational too. Everyday i hold a headphone on head and start your video when on indoor gym bike. I feel like I am also a part of your biker group and follow them. Wonderful sir. Thanks once again. With this excersice i also loose 12 kya in 2 months.

    Did this on the resistance rollers on my track bike. Just pick a cadence for efforts and recovery and stick to it as i don't have a power meter. Was an excellent workout, got the heart rate up really well. Thanks! And great footage too.

    Just like Sam below, I am also stuck in a long, Manitoban winter (-32 Celsius plus a strong wind today). Today was my first time seeing and then training with your video. I've not used one of this calibre before, so it was much appreciated. I couldn't believe how realistic it is, as I kept focusing on the blinking light in front of me. The countdowns and timers kept me focused and now, having made it through this one, I know what to expect for effort level (I wasn't sure what effort level I should prepare for). FYI, it even helps that my cycling kit nearly matches yours; it's like riding with friends. Great job, overall! :)

    Great video! I set a cadence, then used my gears as the effort and kept the cadence steady as my liquid trainer changes resistance automatically. Man I feel like smashing a wall down right now. Watch out Lou Ferrigno!

    I l love your videos. I acutally use them for indoor treadmill running since your videos are smooth and can be adapted for sprint intervals. I also enjoy the music choices. Sometimes I just need to listen to your music while I run and having some kind of noise, like the end sprint buzzer, to start the sprint would be awesome. Thank you for all you do.
