- I show you in detail around the Whirlpool WRX735SDBM refrigerator. I go through the front control panel, look at all the drawers including the freezer. Take outside measurements and listen to how it sounds as well. Show you the ice both cubed and crushed. So far I am very pleased with the unit in my house.

You brought a tear to my eye.. : )...glad it helped. This is still working good for us as of 6-4-2020 other than I did replace the ice maker but it was not that expensive and I did it myself. Everything is still holding up on it pretty good.

We got the same brand and model about 2 weeks ago, i like it because it has a lot of storage than my previous fridge, and it has big freezer space and a separate drawer for vegetables. The downside is it gets smudges easily on the exterior. The ice machine crusher does not really crushed all the ice, but it's all good I like it.

8/9/2019 UPDATE - The ice machine stopped working. I ordered a new one online and installed it my self following a RUclips video. I think it was a $70 fix for the part. Now it is working fine and making ice. Everything else is still working good.

Can you fit a turkey in the bottom freezer? Also, can you fit 2 gallons of milk in that milk holder? Thank you for taking the time for this review.
@@maximohuerta5542 I think a small Turkey would fit. There is a sliding shelf above it. You may be able to take that out and have a deeper freezer area. Yes you can fit 2 one gallon size milk containers in the door.

Great video... I just bought a similar model, the Whirlpool Whirlpool WRX986SIHZ 26CuFT 36-inch Wide 4-Door Refrigerator with Exterior Drawer, Stainless Steel
The major difference is the freezer shelves, place for pizza and the icemaker is in the door. It also is a little roomier with icemaker in the door. Your video is the best at showing all. It also has an alarm when you leave the door open. My daughter has one too and it took me a while to find out where that alarm was. To repeat, your video the best around even for a different fridge!

I just bought the nicer version of this one mine has the icemaker holder on the door giving me a lot of space inside and triple storage shelves in the bottom freezer with a front pocket for box items love it ... ur review was a great help for a min. I thought something was wrong with the drawer when it shut on its own..

Just bought this fridge open box at Best Buy memorial day sale! $1000, with only a small dent on the side of the fridge, which will be against the wall. Got the 5 year warranty also. So all in all $1200! Will be delivered next week! We first bought a kitchen aid but it had horrible reviews, so we returned it. This one had the best reviews and I am excited to get her in the house! Thanks for the detailed review.

Thanks for the review, it was great! I am considering the WRX735SDHZ....I don't know what the difference is, but it looks very similar. I love the measurements, because it helps me determine if I have to remove my cabinet above the fridge. I hope you are still happy with your purchase.
Yeah not sure what is different. I still like mine and all I have had to do so far is change out the ice maker with a $70 new one I put in myself.

Awesome review Ross! I'm thinking of getting this fridge to replace a side by side. You pointed out at least two things people complained of, which was noise (sounded fine to me) and opening and closing of the FD on top. You pointed out that it did not matter if R or L door was opened first or second. That was great, because I've read several complaints about that. I don't understand what people are kickin' about! Keep us posted on this model and let us know if you have any issues and how they go. I think proper installation is key, when it comes to preventing problems people have mentioned! Do those FD close all the way, by themselves too? Someone was fussing that they don't close right w/o help. Icemaker looks good. Hope it holds up. Daily use is key to preventing jams, as the ice cubes freeze together causing jams. I would rather have I.M. in door, but maybe those are not as reliable. Whatcha think ? Thanks! RC in CA.

I would have loved to know what kind of compressor it has? Linear compressor does not last very long I know this from experience two compressors went bad in two different refrigerators

That's a great comment you made about the freezer capacity. I am debating between this model and a side by side but if this freezer holds as much as the side by side then I think I'll go with this one! Thanks, Ross!

Excellent review! Just purchased this fridge on a Black Friday sale (2016) it appears it is not the newest model, based on the date of this review, and some on HD's site dated 2013 and 2014. However, this was originally over 2,100.00, I just purchased it for 1,295.00. The biggest complaint seemed to be a sluggish ice maker and loud condenser. Then of course when it drops ice, it makes noise, people complained about that too. That's the case on any fridge with an ice maker. I am glad you addressed the condenser ( minimal noise on your video) and the common sense solution for getting ice into your glass without it getting all over the place. One thing I did not realize was only the front is stainless steel. Not a problem for me, but it might be for some people. Actually a clever way to keep the cost down. I understand it comes with a "Pure" water filtration system. Nice! I am awaiting delivery and am excited to get it.

For the most part, has been doing well. The entire reason I invested in a new fridge was for a working ice maker. A little while after getting it, it seemed like the ice maker on the new fridge wasn't moving the ice out to the dispenser. I opened the ice box and the ice was in there. I also checked the dispenser itself, as previously we had ice clog there, preventing it from dropping. I'm not really sure what the other issue was, since it comes and goes, but all in all we love the fridge. Just par for the course to get a new fridge because the old ice maker doesn't work at all and the new one has problems.
Hmm I know I had that happen once and it was because we where going between crushed ice and whole. It seems like if it is on crushed then it freezes the small ice bits in the opening and then when you go to use full size ice it gets stuck behind this. Not sure the fix?? maybe leave it on full size ice when done and push it once to clear out the smaller and see if ti does it again? I will have watch mine closer but it only did this once. That also was the reason I got a new fridge was because of the ice not working on the old one.
JUST got it today...looking good ..no ice yet waiting on that to produce...don't know how to check to see if there is any yet

+Matthew Reisen Yeah I had already hooked it all up and pushed it back before I thought about making a video. There is a small water connection at the bottom for the ice maker but not much else I remember on the back.
Thank You for the Review Brother, I just got mine I like it alot, and it's not loud. My only problem is I have my Fridge Temperature set by default to 38 degrees but my thermometer is showing 41 it's off by 3 degrees, and my kitchen room Temperature is 77 degree. What I did I changed the default Fridge Temperature from 38 degrees to 36 degrees and now my thermometer is reading 38 degrees I think its off calibration
Hmm well one of them is off. Maybe try a 3rd thermometer and see what it reads. I bet you are one of those people who has that little temp sensor in your car when the AC is on to always know how cold the air is coming out of the vents? : )

I just bought a house with this fridge, the deli/produce drawer temperature knob won’t move. Is it just a slider? I don’t want to break it but I can’t get it to move. I can’t find anything about this in the manual

Just a note on the fridge if you are reading the comments. A yellow indicator popped up on the fridge control pad on the door letting me know I need to change the water filter. This was around 2/8/2016. Maybe 5 ish months. I will get one and change it out.
Update: I changed the filter in the top of the fridge and it was easy. When you buy it and are setting it up you have to install it in the first place. Did not need to turn the water off or anything to change out the water filter.

Hey Ross, when you open the doors is it the same width? I have a wall on one of the sides it will go and the total space I have is a lil over 36 inches.
Doors are the same size unless they are maybe a few MM difference if any.
Are the lights inside LED ?
Yes I believe they are from what I can tell. They are under a cover so I do not think they are small halogens.

No everything like that has been fine. I am having ice machine issue I am working out now. I replaced the unit but still not right. I may end up calling someone to fix it. I really like everything else about the fridge so I want to get this figured out because I do not want a new fridge. Will let you know what I find out.
Have you had any issues so far? The reviews talk about having multiple issues and just wanted to see if everything was still great. we're thinking of getting this one. we love the fresh drawer
+lightuplion Sorry for the delayed response -- so far everything is still working fine. It is 4/10/2016 and I also changed the water filter as indicated on the control panel. It is very easy to change and get to in top section of the fridge.

You can turn them off. Go to the touch pad and choose the one called lights and just touch it till it turns off. It may say the "pads" are on I think. Let me know if this works. Go to 3:50 in the video and it shows it. Thanks!
Are you able to adjust or remove the 2 dividers in the snack/middle drawer?
Yes you can take them out and there is a small part on the bottom of the drawer that is raised up.
Just ordered this on sale at Sears to replace the 3 year old giant SAMSUNG most expensive piece of junk we ever bought!!

What cubic size is this fridge?
Does the Magnets sticks in the front or just the side only? bcoz i have Now the GE side by side stainless steel but Does Not sticks the magnet in the front but only to the side like yours do... was wondering if this is the case with this particular model too? thanks in advance
They WILL stick on the front - I just tested it. I think there are different grades of stainless steel and I am guessing the more expensive stainless is not magnetic?

Update 9-23-2016 - Yeah I am glad you reminded me I wanted to provide an update. So far everything is going good. I have changed the water filter twice which is very easy and there is a reminder on the door to let you know. Every now and then the ice will get hung up in the dispenser when trying to fill a glass but I think it is more because my wife likes crushed and I use solid. So it has all this crushed ice in the pathway and I think it freezes back up a little then I switch to cubes and it cant get by. I just have to open the door and poke it from the top which is easy and ice blows out of there. Not anything big - I should just use the crushed ice but now it is a war of who can leave it on "their" favorite setting when they walk off from the fridge..lol

I just purchased the Whirpool French door refrigerator. They delivered it yesterday, and when the pantry drawer is opened by itself, the light does not come on. It comes on if I have the freezer or one of the top doors open. Is this normal? Please help! Thank you.
It should come on when you open the lower slide drawers. Let me know if this is still the case and I will see where and what kind of switch is used to turn the light on when you open it. They sometimes can be stuck and you just tap it and it will start working. I am thinking since yours is new that may be the case??
I bought one if these but am not sure what temp to put it to. My produce are freezing when I put it on produce. the temp option is produce to deli.
Is it freezing while in the produce drawers in the main fridge or in the middle pull out drawer? I had not had any issued with that.
How has this refrigerator held up over the last two years since the video? How consistent has it held its temperature, and how many settings for temperature does it have? I would be very interested in learning how mechanically reliable the Whirlpools have been recently. Thanks for the review.
11-26-2017 So far working good. I just replaced the water filter again but so far so good.
I'm very happy to read this, Ross. I decided to get the Whirlpool, in spite of some of the negative reviews I've read. And so far, I can't be more pleased with what I have.
And part of why I got my Whirlpool refrigerator, is that I have owned a bottom of the line Whirlpool dishwasher that was poorly rated by Consumer Reports. It has never let me down once. It is far faster than the newer ones, and it still does a great job, for nearly a decade and counting.
Anyone have issue with the ice maker jamming up
Hi, I also have this refrigerator, now I’m noticing there is something like a yellow styrofoam coming out of from the bottom of the both doors, do you know what’s going on with my fridge? I could not find any information regarding this online
Hmm I have not seen anything like that on mine. Like chunks of it coming out or you can see some of it or? Maybe the door is coming apart and that is the insulation inside of it?? See if there is a seam and if you can look into it or take it apart. I would think they would fix that under warranty unless it is really old.
Where did you get that horse wine bottle holder at 12:02? I want one.

Ours is having major issues and we lost all of our food and freezer food. We purchased 7/2015, and it went out 7/2017. Pretty bummed :(......My recommendation, Purchase the extended warranty!
Man that sucks - I think it is hit or miss on fridges and washing machines and dryers. I usually always get the extended warranty on these things.

Yeah small skinny stuff...but yes it is a small little pocket. Would be good for candy bars I suspect but I do not like mine cold.

Yes it does.
So is the front the only side with stainless finish?
Yes just the doors. The fridge body is painted.

So far still going ok and have not noticed it being any louder.

No they are off a little if you look real close but not enough to concern me.

Yes for me it has been working great and I would buy another. I have had to replace the water filer twice so far but it is very easy and I am fine with that.
How do clean coils?
Not sure - there is a cover down low and you can see the coils in the back if you roll the fridge out. Maybe compressed air or a vacuum if you can reach it?? I should look and see how bad mine is. Oh and this is still working good so far (10/11/2020)

Its 2019..Is your refrigerator running 🏃♀️? lol 😝😆..How’s it going 4 yearslater? I received a gift card for Mother’s Day so I can get one of these babies... Of course I’m reading all the reviews from about 3 different stores that sells them. Three of the most consistent complaints are..1) Its noisy and 2) the ice maker takes so much room and 3) the ice maker over freeze 🥶 and anything next to it are covered in ice.
So, have you had experience any of that?- - 4 years later
Ok still working fine (fingers crossed) as of 6/5/2019. I have not noticed it being extra noisy but my house might be loud from animals etc. The ice maker is somewhat large and does take a bit of space but not enough to bother me. I have not had an ice issue with anything near or around it. So far still happy with the Fridge.

10-27-2018 None - So far it has been working for me just great.
Do you find the noise bearable? I have an open floor plan, and the noise is a bit distracting.
+callynt We sit near the unit many times and also eat in that area and I have not noticed any loud noise from it. Nothing as really jumped out at me. I had read that some people do hear more noise than than they thought so not sure. Maybe my hearing is not as good as is used to be and that is what make mine not so loud? : ) I see some get the decibel meter app on their phone to get a real reading of noise levels to go from.
Ross Johnson Thank you for responding. I really do like the features and no real defects have presented themselves so far. I have 15 days to return it, so I'm going to give it at least a week to see if I can adjust to it. I got such a good deal on price, I'd hate to give it up.
