Thank you for this. Finally a video that shows comparison examples and not just for cleaners. THANK YOU for showing those examples on different brands. I rent my home and my refrigerator, stove, and microwave are all different brands and I didn’t know what to use and I definitely didn’t want to mess up the finish. So again, thank you. I did subscribe to your channel so I look forward to more videos.
For the last five years I have used the suggestion that our local Home Depot gave me to keep all of their SS appliances looking good. Pledge furniture polish. Spray it on, wipe it off like you are cleaning any furniture and it is beautiful. The best part is you can just grab a clean, dry towel day to day and wipe over the finger prints and smears and it cleans up easily without reapplying. It says to use it to clean stainless on back of can and I reapply the spray about every two to three weeks. The rest of the time I just grab the clean towel. Has not hurt the stainless at all and no build up of anything. I use it on my stove front, dishwasher front, toaster and microwave. Give it a try.
Bravo! I'm a big fan of just using a wet towel with water only and instantly dry it. BUT I have learned that once you use a stainless steel cleaner you tend to have to always use a stainless steel cleaner. Kudos for having a man do this demonstration..lol Great job Tyler!
@@BoulevardHome And a CUTE man! 😉 (I just turned 75. I figure one of the perks of living this long (and being locked up for over a year!) is flirting with a younger man! 😊
Really love the video. First time I know I can use water and vinegar on stainless steel. I am using Zep oil based cleaner it worked great but smells awful. Will definitely try the water and vinegar thanks very much
So glad I came across this video, I was starting to research if I could use clear vinyl cling to cover my fridge… especially behind the handles where it gets bad. I have been using the stainless cleaner and as you said it leaves a residue that causes smudges easily. My fridge was supposed to be the smudge resistant one but apparently the salesman ordered the wrong one and my husband said we’re ok with it… I’m not, lol. I will now definitely try the vinegar and water cleaner.
I have a little hand print from my oldest grandson from when he was about two that will not clean off my fridge. I’ve tried everything. My daughter says it has super strong toddler germs.
@@BoulevardHome I sprayed vinaigrette/water & after 10 min, I wiped out the fridge. Most dirts were still there. Then I rubbed with alcohol, got some finger prints out. However, after using soapy sponge, I finally be able to remove all food, dirty oils, finger prints out of fridge door. Then I spayed with stainless steel cleaner spray to make it shiny. Bleach cleaner spray works too, but since you said “Big No” for that, I do not use bleach spray any more!
@@zibaa1234 We are glad you were able to clean your fridge! Each fridge and brand is different and will react differently to each cleaner. We are glad you found what works for you.
I just use dish soap and water and it cleans and dries well. I do have a few spots that won’t come off, they look like something splashed on them and it lightened the steel. Any solutions for that?
You can use ammonia-free Windex on stainless steel. The ammonia in Windex can eat away at stainless steel. But if it's ammonia-free, then it cleans very well! We hope this helped. Thanks for watching our video :)
The vinegar & water solution is what cleaned it. Alcohol is not the best idea. Try olive oil.. Put very little on a micro towel & rub the stainless with the grain.
Hi Brenda! Maytag suggests using cleaners such as Comet, Copper Cleaner, or Revere Stainless Steel to gently buff out scratches. Then, conceal the scratch with stainless steel polish.
DO THIS... 1. Fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol (do not dilute with anything) 2. Spray alcohol on paper towel (do not spray on surface...just on the towel) 3. Wipe down appliance No need to dry off with anything as by the time you get your drying cloth the alcohol will have evaporated on it's own.
I used a raw pork chop. Boneless of course. Rub the pork chop on the surface. Next. Use any of the methods of the video to clean it. Fry the pirk chop. Make a sammich.

I just make a paste out of baking soda to clean and get rust marks off. Clean, dry and lightly apply coconut oil.
soooooooo basically nothing works.

What about olive oil? I love it more than other options.

Remove these. Rinse well with water to get bs off and then rub with olive oil
Wipe the alcohol off right away, it evaporates and will look like a white smear if you let it dry on there. It's the best cleaner of the bunch here.
i had small hairline scratches made by a microfiber. any way to buff them out? thanks
How much water to vinegar?
He said one part vinegar to one part vinegar. So I plan to put 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water in a spray bottle.

Has anyone tried using an electric orbital buffer on their stainless steel appliances?
I have, have to clay bar first
Dawn Power Wash is the best for cleaning stainless steel. Never use any oil based cleaner on stainless steel.
You can certainly use oil based on stainless, I own a laundromat so I know a little about cleaning machines.

Multitasking a chore and lunch using the same tool, I mean food, LOL
👎 no ammonia or vinegar or other acids on stainless !! ruins finish and you will get rust over time.
diluted vinegar is ok
Lite Rubbing compound and a buffer and a microfiber towel…. Boom
