FOSSIL PREP | 180 MILLION year old creature

Join me in revealing this Jurassic aged Ammonite, found in Kawhia | New Zealand.
Ammonites were ancient, squid-like creatures that lived in the ancient oceans. The squid, residing in the outer chamber of their spiralled shell. Ammonites thrived alongside dinosaurs and became extinct during the same event.
Although common in other areas of our Earth, ammonites are fairly rare in New Zealand.
Join me in extracting the matrix of this fossil, revealing a near perfect New Zealand Ammonite.
