Join me on another fossil video. In todays video I will show you how I prepare the ammonite fossils I find. I found this ammonite on one of my local beaches and preparing it using fossil preparation tools. The end result looks pretty amazing I think. This fossil is from the Jurassic, 180 million years old.

I normally find prep videos pretty boring and skip most of them, but you split it up nicely and it didn’t feel repetitive and boring at all, well done

I liked the prep video liam and i would like to see them on a variety of ammonites to see what the fossils end up looking like when all looking nice......we all like a stunning Yorkshire coast fossil 😀 keep doing them now and then, they are very interesting to watch and its nice to see how the ammonite ends up instead of just showing them on the videos when found👍👍

Good to see you use PPE for your fossil prep! The dust and silicates can harm your lungs and eye protection from flying pieces of stone. Good example! Kudos to you!!!🥰

Excellent first time video Liam, loved it! But I wonder why the majority of prep videos are so short? I’d loved to have seen much more preparation time of this beautiful ammonite. If folk want to skip the ‘boring ‘ parts they can always fast forward but there isn’t an option to retrieve images that are there in the first place! But keep them coming Liam because you’ve clearly got a knack for making them and I loved it.
