October 11, 2024: I just purchased the Scan N Cut SDX125. I have been binge watching your video classes. I live in Bellingham, Washington USA. I'm like you were about Canvas, but now I'm ready to jump in! Thank you for such wonderful information.
I'm playing catchup; I've had my Scan N Cuts, CM900, for about 5 years & SDX900 for just over 2 years. I have been using either as and when, often following product launch classes. Now, I'm going through the monthly classes to refine and fill some of the gaps in my knowledge.
Thank you for what is a complicated process very accessible to me. I’m dyslexic and have always struggled with maths so making the aperture card let alone stencils would have been way out of my skill level without your amazing teaching style Mel once again thank you xx
Hi Mel. Thank you so much for this video. I was one of the people that asked and I am so grateful. You have just saved me buying some dies. I really couldn’t work out how to do it. You have made it look easy and I am going to try it on my next card. My next question is if I create a rectangle with a scalloped edge and then make it a different size the edge gets distorted. Is there some way of fixing this? Again thanks for all your support. X
Hi Lynn! So to avoid getting a distorted shape you need to great either an inward or outward offset line. If you have an SDX then there is a button for this on the object edit menu. If you're using a CM machine then you will need to go into canvas and use the offset line function in there. We have covered this in one of the previous monthly videos on the CM series machines!

Thank you Mel. Really interesting. You make everything so easy but will get there 1 step at a time. Thank you again for your time. Xxx
Hi Mel, Thanks for another informative video. Could you please explain hiw to put a dashed line around the circles, like the dies have.
Mel, I love your enthusiasm❤
Lots of useful info for me. Could you go into more detail about the half cut function in a future workshop.
I'm loving these videos, I am understanding so much more. is there a 10 yet or have i caught up? xx
Not yet! We had to take a mini break over the summer but we will have another video out soon!
