Thank you for doing this demonstration for the online version of Canvas Workspace. I use it exclusively because I’m working from my iPad. Most tutorials I’ve found have been the downloaded version.
After umming and ahing for a few years finally bit the bullet and got the newest sdx. I've been working through these monthly videos and I have to say Mel that you explain spot on for how I learn. Plus practice practice and practice works. I don't think I'd have bought it if there was no learning sessions, so thank you so much.
Thank you Mel, I got my scan n cut SDX2240D a couple of weeks ago and have already been using canvas workspace a bit on my iPad, but the last bit you showed in this video solved the problems I was having 😆 I was scratching my head trying to figure it out, but I’ve realised now what it was doing. Also on the iPad as I can’t hover over things with a mouse it doesn’t show what the buttons are called, I recognised weld, but really for divide, remove overlapped and subtract it would be useful if it was just written under the image, as those circles and triangles don’t help in telling you what it is 😆 but I’ve made a note now. Also I have been playing around with the image tracing where you don’t have to drag the dots and depending what it is it does work quite well. I took some photos of things in my sketchbook and tested it out, and can now recreate my own drawings or with coloured card or make them into stencils, I’m having so much fun 😊

Thank you so much for these videos - I always learn something. I use my Scan n Cut nearly everyday and I too love Canvas Workspace. So many uses and so easy to use.
After seeing you weld 2 circle's together it gave me an idea and I created a minion I was so proud of it I've stuck him in my craft room 😂 I've then gone on to create fish,a pond aperture (not sure if thats what its called) and a pram for some of my prodjects. I'm actually loving it ❤

Hi, you mentioned at the end of class seven that next time you would show cutting shrink plastic & mylar. I have some printable shrink and would like to know how best to cut. I also have some doflex and would love to try making stencils. Would appreciate any advice on how best to cut these materials. Many thanks Elaine

I am wanting to do some words in vinyl but don't know how to find it on canvas workspace and secondly how to get my cm900 to cut it. It's for acrylic blocks for the tables for her wet next year. I would be most grateful for any help.
