    (EPISODE 250)
    ℹ️ About this episode:
On this episode of LivinRvision, we start a journey to Canada! We’ve always wanted to explore parts of Canada but have never really had the perfect opportunity until now.
After a few days in Minneapolis, we met with the driver of Grech RV that was delivering the new 2024 Grech RV Strada-ion (Mini Vinny 3.0) to us and driving back our 2023 Strada-ion (Mini Vinny 2.0) to get cleaned up and ready to sell. Find out how this entire trip went in this video.
    We hope you enjoy!

@@slalomking Well, I can be patient to wait for a "a good deal". In my area, the MSRP for a new one is $252,000 for the 2023, for the Terreno-Ion, but there are a number of 2022s that have not sold across the nation, and the prices I'm seeing they can go for $150,000 brand new. So when I say I'm willing to wait for the the 2024, it wouldn't be until close to 2025 when I would wait to get one for a price closer to what I would consider.

We chuckle when we see all the RV’rs lately crossing into scary Canada 😊 A large number of Canadians regularly cross to the US for shopping, vacations, work or the winter and like you have no problem if you’re honest. We have to change phone plans too and make sure we have medical coverage while there. Never had a problem even moving when the paperwork is in order and we didn’t have items not permitted to cross the border. Our practice is to keep a list of everything we bought …not consumables…and keep all the receipts in an envelope that you can provide at the border. Also have vaccination papers available for pets. Hope you enjoy your trip to Canada ……it’s as diverse as the US and there’s lots to see!

Welcome to Canada, you guys.... Canada is a huge country; you are in one of the most beautiful parts. Well, there are many beautiful parts. I have to laugh at Americans coming across the border and being nervous. Never understood that. Crossing the border into Canada is painless, and the only people with challenges are those with something to hide or say the wrong thing. Missy and I have many friends who are Canadian Border Service agents, and trust me, they are trained to spot this. In all the years we have crossed the border 50+, to be exact...only once we had an issue, and that we because I said something stupid ... welcome to Canada if you ever get out to New Brunswick, let us know... >>> Stuart... PS...we don't appreciate Americans and their EH jokes 🙂

Tips for crossing the border. Don’t be nervous. My boys each drove from Alaska to the lower 48, different years. One wore a tee-shirt and baseball hat and was questioned. The other had a button shirt and wasn’t questioned. This year when a third son drove down he didn’t have a current passport. He was in a button shirt. Was honest about the passport. Not questioned. Know where you are going and how long you’ll be there. There are horror stories, but I’d say 95% of the time there are no issues.

You stopped at Betty's Pies. Sorry, but Betty Lessard passed away and her place was taken over by an investment group from Minneapolis. The pies are second rate. Just up the road is The Rustic Cafe. FAR BETTER PIE! Their whole menu is the best on the North Shore. The Scenic Cafe is also highly recommended.

I should have also added; The Rustic Cafe also has a GREAT gluten free meatloaf meal. VERY worth a trip back!

That’s so sad you missed most of the great spots on the North Shore. Grand Marais is a great small town to visit. All the hiking and the shore and great places too eat . Betty’s pies is so overrated. Just down the road at Rustic Inn has homemade awesome pies and the food is great. To stay at casinos and eat their food is not seeing the area.

Everywhere you go there is always going to be things that you miss unless you just stay there in that one area until you have seen everything possible. Unfortunately that’s not possible for us. Same thing we have discussed numerous times. The Casino was a place to utilize that many of us RVers take advantage of. If we didn’t eat there, then we would hear how horrible it was that we stayed for free but didn’t pay our respects by buying something or eating there. 😂 Keep in mind, you are watching an almost 29 minutes of our 48 hours.

The new smaller 4 cylinder engine is so much better than the older v6. More power and more efficiency. Then add the 9 speed vs 7 transmission… more mpg.
Has Grech finally started using the AWD option or still just rear?

Correct. Our video on this is scheduled to release next weekend. No spoiler alerts. 😂

The auto blinds on the windows are the same as previous models. The new manual shades for the windshield and front door windows are a different type but not hidden.

But I'm so upset at what the country has become you couldn't pay me to return. Truckers having their bank accounts frozen for protesting. US is just as bad now. But I already live here.

Just for your knowledge, Eh is pronounced with a A sound then a E. It’s a Québécois thing. Québécois though a slang of French, it’s not Peruvian (France) French.

Curious why it made you curious? 😂 😉

You are a you tube channel that shows people places and information on how to travel to other areas. Why then wouldn’t you have checked the websites about entering Canada and what the amount of alcohol you can bring in. That is why they asked about how much you had. Do your homework!
