      @@EnuffsEnuff318 The tutorials on the F360 website are very cumbersome, and they don't "flow" in a natural way to learn from scratch. I looked, and run away. Very confusing.
      If I may suggest from my experience. ( I am pretty good and quick now)
      In this order:

      2. ruclips.net/p/PL40d7srwyc_N7Dke-ATtowRml7wAHNFrK
      3. Go to his channel. Click on "Playlists". And look for any playlist that says "Beginners" on it, and do them.
      Do one a day, and you will be running in a couple of weeks. Promise!
      I know how you feel, I've been there. that's why I'm trying to help. :)

    You also could insert it as a derived component so if you make a change to the logos in the futur, it would reflect on all of your projects!

      Derive is immensely powerful and as yet there has been very little said about it in tutorials. The area of master sketches flies to mind ;-)

    If you right click on the logo file and choose "Insert into current design", your inserted logo will update when you edit the original file. But you cannot scale the inserted sketch (or I don't know how)

    Thanks for the video Lars. I am looking forward to a greatly updated and improved handling of text in Fusion360. Soon right?
    Also, when importing vector artwork from a client, I haven't found a way to simplify the amount of nodes used in curves. This has been a massive problem for me as it slows Fusion360 down to a crawl when working in sketches. Every click or movement of my 3D mouse results in minutes of waiting for the software to figure out what's going on. Turns a 15m job into well over an hour, if not more. How to simplify vector points of imported artwork?

    • @cadcamstuff
      @cadcamstuff  5 лет назад +1

      Not totally sure. I think the vector artwork always are difficult with mechanical CAD. Hopefully the development team has some stuff in the works

    Wanted to start by saying... "Your Awesome"! I need to create a bunch of name tags but want to simplify the process by having different names every time on a base of 14mm by 150mm but the base of 150mm will grow larger smaller depending on the letters used for the name using restrictions. Is it possible for this to happen?

    Love your content and learning a lot! Newb: Can you go over the process to go from Fusion to Easel and then cut on the X-Carve? I see articles but they are old and seem very involved for something seemingly simple. Thanks.

    Hello Lars!
    I need your help again!
    So far; you always find me the right solution to my problems, so here's a another one:
    I will use this video as a reference; the look of my current job is similar to what you see at 3:34.
    Let say I want to make a 2D coutour of a extruded Fusion 360 logo.
    I'm using a 8 mm diameter to do so.
    But some areas are unreachable with this router of 8 mm diameter.
    So I need to use then a smaller one, like a 4 mm diameter, to finish the job.
    I don't want to redo all the initial path I just made with the 8 mm diameter.
    It would be stupid and a waste of time.
    I just want to take care of unfinished business in some tiny corners.
    Is there a magical way to ask (Basic) Fusion 360 to remember what he just did with a 8 mm router, and then ask to finish the details with a another 2D contour of 4 mm router?
    You're my only hope... Well... At least the only one I trust.

    Hi Lars. Love the videos. I got stuck on a problem with some hinges that I designed. I am building a glass case and designed some hinges to connect the door with. I am able to join them and get them to move as they should. Then I use a rigid joint to assemble them on the one glass panel. I then attach the other side to the door. This works fine. Then the second hinge becomes a problem. I can not attach it to the door without breaking the first join on the first hinge. Secondly. If I add other components the movement on the hinge stops and i can not move it again. I hope this makes sense.

    • @cadcamstuff
      @cadcamstuff  5 лет назад +1

      I might need more coffee or maybe a beer. If the hinges works individually, they should work as a set. Maybe try and post on the forum or in the Fusion Facebook group. Someone there are smarter than me.

    I noticed your copy/paste does the same odd behavior as it does for me in not keeping the copy oriented the same way when pasting it even though your x/y/z orientations seem to be the same in both sketches. Is there a way to paste a sketch using the same orientation & location so it would not be necessary to move or rotate it when pasting into a different sketch?
