There are several type of dxf and svg's to "save as" wem saving yout bitmap. Which option to take when importing into Fusion 360 to burn image onto steel? Tyia

Great tutorial. One thing missing - how to scale the image to needed dimensions in Fusion. Thanks!
when I insert a svg into Fusion, the SVG is so far away from the origin and out of view. I have to scroll out many times and keep dragging the SVG back to the origin. Is there a way to insert the SVG at the 0,0 origin? Also, when inserting a SVG should it remain at the same scale. Thanks
Great video! Late to the party, but I'm stuck figuring out how to rescale it since the DPI resolution is not parsed correctly. Whenever I try to add a measurement it says it's over constrained, but I don't see any way to actually change the interpreted size/scaling..
You should be able to scale the entire drawing together using the resize tool but I don't think adding dimensions to an SVG is allowed because all the lines of the SVG are controlled by dimensions within the SVG file
At 3:11 you pressed some button that made the inside of the letters disappear and the entire graphic when grey. What did you press? My A's and R's have blue inside them and I don't want that part to be engraved.
Blue just means that edge, face, sketch profile, etc is currently selected. Each letter in the logo has been made into it's own sketch profile because of the vectorization he did in Inkshare. He was selecting each letter (or rather it's sketch profile), making them all blue, so that he could Extrude all of them at once into 3D bodies. Immediately after you do something like that, Fusion automatically hides the sketch that was used for the extrusion. So the button he pressed was OK on the Extrude command, which made the extrusion happen and then the blue selected sketch lines and profiles disappeared. Once those sketch lines became hidden, all that was left to view are the actual model bodies he just extruded. If something is blue you don't want included in the extrusion, ctrl-click on it to remove it from the selection set.
I don’t know why or how but I can not replicate what you did in your video. I cannot select each section so it turns solid nor will it allow me to add colors (even though I don’t need that) It doesn’t give me the function to add the thickness either. Spent 10 hours trying to do simple image to cut file and i’m no further. Doesn’t make sense, i’m doing the exact steps you are !
So for using a CNC plasma cutter, do I have to do anything else for them to be "cut" lines? Or are they like ready to plug in once highlighted, every video I find has something to do with tracing and I didn't know if you have to do that for plasma cutting
You probably need to export as a DXF. Create a new sketch, select the face that has the profile you want to plasma cut and then project that face into the sketch. Then export sketch as DXF
@@Homesteading_engineer I appreciate it for real man, I just got my Eastwood 4x4 plasma table and I’ve played on CAD before just nothing with plasma cutting
I'm staring at my inkscape. Doing exactly what you are doing. And it doesn't work. I cant preview. It doesn't apply. It does not work. I'm not changing anything. My typical experience with computers.
This is a cool video - but as a complete beginner it's not showing me everything... I'm replicating exactly what I see you do, but it's not allowing me to select the faces, nor color them... I have no idea what im doing wrong lol
This video just saved me HOURS without having to trace each line. THANK YOU!!
OMG I knew about inserting canvases into Fusion but not vectorized images. You just saved me so much tracing with the spline tool!!!!
Totally worked! You saved me a lot of time. My wrists and I thank you.
2:54 when I click one it un selects the other one?

But how to make background for Lights lbox for print it
how do I do this if some of my image is white?

What are you pressing when u just import it in?

Perfect. Thank you. Easy and straight to the point.

Worked perfectly! Thanks for the vid!
Very useful! Thank you for this video. It was very helpful!!!
Helped a lot. Thanks
nice, but can we add how after all of this we make it on for print? like with backround?
I have the same question
This vid is awesome too great trick for those SVGs
Was this for the free version of fusion 360?
It was made with the paid version however the free version should be the exact same
@@Homesteading_engineer txs good sir
A game changer! Awsome. Thank you
