Thanks for featuring my video! Hebron is actually performing their drumline show, which is a completely separate written show that they learn and perform at drumline contests. Their instructor is Ben Koch, who graduated from UNT, so the comments about the writing being very UNT-esque is spot on. If you're looking to react to a few more of Hebron's separate drumline shows, I'd recommend watching the Multi Cam videos of their 2021 and 2022 shows, I put both of those videos together and they play very well!
@@drummersnare6276 they’re usually outdoor contests that are normally held on football fields. Most groups are standstill and are judged by an on field judge and a stands judge. Hebron usually competes in the HEB Drumline contest, the Plano Drumline contest, and the Lonestar Drumline contest. If you search for videos of any of those you’ll see how they’re setup
@@drummersnare6276 There are drum competitions here in Texas where the drumline and the pit will either play a separate percussion show or play their show music in a standstill. There are some groups that also learn a percussion only show with marching. The contests are held during the marching season and are different from indoor.
I was just about to suggest looking at high school lines in the fall. This is cool. Would love if you could get Avon’s Tony Cook to talk, but I also haven’t seen any fall videos of fall aside from a Tama video on Instagram. This was really cool and I know kids at the high school level greatly appreciate the attention.
It’s always strange to watch groups outside of SoCal. They perform at what I would call THE standard excellence you would except. Very clean, and well written shows. But man SoCal just makes books that are just nutty.
Bit biased here, but would love an O'Fallon video! We places 5th at the Indy super regional, and 2nd at St. Louis this year, winning class 4A, and breaking our schools score record with a 90.075. That's even with our competitive season ending early at St. Louis, skipping Grand Nationals for Macy's Day. My ears are still ringing a bit from the celebration after winning class 4A over Westwood and Bentonville. The finals run that night may as well have been a victory run for us.

What do you mean by drumline contests? are you referring to indoor drumline

@@ptolemaic7212 oh okay, i dont know if they have that here in california ive never heard of it, we just do indoor drumline like SCPA
Bentonvile has to be written by colin. All those mc nuts, the 3s, the double stop pings, 3's & 4's, the flam work, and even the godamn sword visual.
He does write our music!
yes, the book is written by Colin. Visuals are mostly by the kids - sometimes I think they watch too much RUclips lol.
Doesn’t surprise me at all, but like that’s insane that they can play all of that. Bentonville was one of my favorite lines all night
