I think it's super important to show the process of learning a piece and getting better. There are so many artists that won't show you how they get there, only the polished product, and only being exposed to end results can set unrealistic expectations to people learning an instrument. Epic as always; love seeing you learn!
It's crazy how much content material El Estepario is spitting out for other content creators.. Most of them are lame reaction videos but your videos have are productive and has meaning. Thanks for showing the progress.
Fantastic work!!! Showing the process is amazing, and really helps me appreciate how much the rudiments play into breaking it all down to digestible parts.
I've watched a lot of your videos, and they're fun, informative and inspiring. BUT THIS ONE.... whole other level. This should inspire anyone to accomplish their goals... Many thanks and keep doing what you do. I wish people would make more use of my channel... hey ho Nice one Eric
Funny how an experienced drummer can look like a noob. But the the experience kicks in and allows you to play it, while a noob would just be struggling forever.
Epic Eric. Now can say officially say you’re a drummer and not only a percussionist. You are a true all rounder talented EVERYTHING! Keep inspiring people to do their best. Thank you for showing us the progression too. Not just the polished product. 😊
I am always mind-bent watching a good drummer do his thang I am a singer, piano guy. I have had to learn some tricky piano/vocal songs and did it by playing it OVER AND OVER FOR TWO DAYS. One is US3’s Cantalupe(flip fantasia). It sounds pretty straight forward but required me to chop my brain up and melt it back together. This drum groove is clearly for VERY GOOD DRUMMERS! You are very impressive
Step is maybe the best drummer in the world. He is to me, anyway. But this? This was amazing. The highest honor I can give you is subscribed with notifications on.
Good job! Take a look at thee side-by-side part and look at your right arms. Notice how relaxed his is while yours is very cramped. I'm sure you'll get the feeling pretty fast!
Hey there, just a friendly thing to say. Do not think because you can't do any of these insane things, or don't see yourself doing them in a near future, just be aware that El Estrpario must have around 20, if not more years of experience and practice, i myself am a drummer, and i consider that this guy is a absolute MACHINE, but it's because he worked hard for it, yes. Talent and the own capability of the brain to register and do all of this insane tricks counts, but it's also how many hours you've practiced, my teacher always tells me to do so. To always practice in the snare (which i sometimes forget) but when i do i see results, even if i'm playing an actual set or song, the normal person takes around 5 or more years to learn (to some level of expertee) a instrument, and then you can go and add your own stuff, talent is something that yes, some people are born with, but it isn't a limitator for other people to not try, try and seek guidance from any teacher, most of them can do crazy stuff on their own, and that everyone in here is different, you maybe excel at other stuff, like drawings, music, writting, it all just deppends if you like what you're doing or not (As a sidenote, please excuse my grammar, and the other ortografic errors i (will) have, i don't think this comment will reach out to many people, but if you are reading this to the end (or skipped most of it, please read) just take my word, you could ask him, or any other drummer by the fact, and they will tell you the same.)
That was awesome. Your jail sentence is complete. YOU da Man! The other guy needs to go to jail for impostoring you as you are the best and better than he.
I think the Bozzio stuff is much more complex. The ostinato patterns are more complex and he actually learns how to improvise over the base pattern. I dig the video. It's awesome all the scary talent on RUclips these days.

Estepario has a lot of drum courses on Drumeo
Exactly! I loved this video (first video I watched on this channel), and it made me more confident with how I practice and learn new songs.
Well said.
What do you mean I won't be able to shred on the electric guitar in 48h?
Great, now I wanna see estepario try some marching percussion
He could probably crush it, bro has unbelievable chops
@@RADZADproductions With his dedication to practicing, I have no doubt he would be a beast if he wanted to give it a try.
He could and would absolutely slay it. Don’t take away from the accomplishments of a master.
There is great hubris in a drumming tradition that dies once you turn 21 and that requires you prance around like a fairy while you are doing it ...
@@hasush ? Do you not like marching percussion? It’s fun dude

I have never identified with a RUclips drummer as much as I did in that moment.
Ah yes...the patent pending Thomas Pridgen outburst. My favorite!

Yeah, this is why you're the best percussionist on the platform. No clickbait needed!

I'm genuinely impressed. It's actually a lot of fun watching you get that much better as a musician and a drummer.
I like how Eric memes about his skill, when he's still one of the best drummers in the world.
But he plays DRUMS, not drums.

Cool, finally found a piece of music i cant play as good as any drumner can't.
I had to see it again! This is the greatest accomplishment ON youtube. Thank you Eric for showing us regular drummers how to get great😅
Respect and admiration by the TRUCKload EMC! Keep me Notified, Friend
Genuinely inspiring
You Sir are an amazing person. Thank you for entertaining us with this pro level playing. I wish you the best in life.

He's a beast, you're a beast. Good stuff.
Most impressive video of yours! Keep doing these!

Watching the process was the most rewarding part(s) of the video!
Very well played dude!!! From a fellow drummer (one who usually plays by ear).

I love this video because it shows that no makes how good you are there's always more you can learn.
The side by side was amazing. Great job!!
Good work man. You picked that up pretty quickly. What a cool groove. Part B seems to be there to throw off drummers.
Good job on this one! ...Terry Bozzio is laughing rn ;)
Seeing both your guys’ feet moving in unison is so funny to me. I like to imagine there’s no throne and you’re doing this goofy dance
🤣 Now I cannot unsee this
It's like a weird funny dance move, and they are doing it in sync.
Haha you two together playing this look like these Hawaiian Skirt Car Mirror hangers (legs). Amazing work :)
that was great man I like how you broke it up, that drop to 6/8 then back up again had to be tough sounded great
