I think it's super important to show the process of learning a piece and getting better. There are so many artists that won't show you how they get there, only the polished product, and only being exposed to end results can set unrealistic expectations to people learning an instrument. Epic as always; love seeing you learn!
To me, I think the most impressive part of El Estepario's playing is his timing. When he plays, it almost sounds more like a drum machine than a person, because his strokes are so perfectly timed.
It's crazy how much content material El Estepario is spitting out for other content creators.. Most of them are lame reaction videos but your videos have are productive and has meaning. Thanks for showing the progress.
Fantastic work!!! Showing the process is amazing, and really helps me appreciate how much the rudiments play into breaking it all down to digestible parts.
I've watched a lot of your videos, and they're fun, informative and inspiring. BUT THIS ONE.... whole other level. This should inspire anyone to accomplish their goals... Many thanks and keep doing what you do. I wish people would make more use of my channel... hey ho Nice one Eric
Listening to El stepario's drumming, is like crack cocaine, you just can't get enough of it. I want him to cover everything, at this point, no matter the genre.
Epic Eric. Now can say officially say you’re a drummer and not only a percussionist. You are a true all rounder talented EVERYTHING! Keep inspiring people to do their best. Thank you for showing us the progression too. Not just the polished product. 😊
I'm so happy, that this was Much more than just a react! Man that must have been a hard beat to learn! Now you just need to learn to goof on the camera same time as playing :D
I am always mind-bent watching a good drummer do his thang I am a singer, piano guy. I have had to learn some tricky piano/vocal songs and did it by playing it OVER AND OVER FOR TWO DAYS. One is US3’s Cantalupe(flip fantasia). It sounds pretty straight forward but required me to chop my brain up and melt it back together. This drum groove is clearly for VERY GOOD DRUMMERS! You are very impressive
Funny how an experienced drummer can look like a noob. But the the experience kicks in and allows you to play it, while a noob would just be struggling forever.
Step is maybe the best drummer in the world. He is to me, anyway. But this? This was amazing. The highest honor I can give you is subscribed with notifications on.
Impressive and interesting challenge. The side by side was beautiful. Question if you slowed the video down would both of your playing be 100% with what was written? In other words did both of you play the perfect song, perfectly?
Good job! Take a look at thee side-by-side part and look at your right arms. Notice how relaxed his is while yours is very cramped. I'm sure you'll get the feeling pretty fast!
Try some of Thomas Lang's independent stuff, who's actually one of El Estepario's influences, and most likely the inspiration behind some these ideas of his.

Estepario has a lot of drum courses on Drumeo
Exactly! I loved this video (first video I watched on this channel), and it made me more confident with how I practice and learn new songs.
Well said.
What do you mean I won't be able to shred on the electric guitar in 48h?
Great, now I wanna see estepario try some marching percussion
He could probably crush it, bro has unbelievable chops
@@RADZADproductions With his dedication to practicing, I have no doubt he would be a beast if he wanted to give it a try.
He could and would absolutely slay it. Don’t take away from the accomplishments of a master.
There is great hubris in a drumming tradition that dies once you turn 21 and that requires you prance around like a fairy while you are doing it ...
@@hasush ? Do you not like marching percussion? It’s fun dude
5:47 rare drummer rage by emc
I have never identified with a RUclips drummer as much as I did in that moment.
Ah yes...the patent pending Thomas Pridgen outburst. My favorite!

2:54 “See, it’s good to know your rudiments kids!” EMC best quotes
Your get out of jail free card should be in the mail.
Yeah, this is why you're the best percussionist on the platform. No clickbait needed!

How much he is putting out for other creators? El Estipario literally makes content playing other people’s music. 🤨🙄
I'm genuinely impressed. It's actually a lot of fun watching you get that much better as a musician and a drummer.
Fantastic work!!! Showing the process is amazing, and really helps me appreciate how much the rudiments play into breaking it all down to digestible parts.
Thanks
You work ethic rocks! Thank you for setting a good example.
Your sight reading is insane. You crushed this.

Wel all went through this at multiple points in our drummer's life 😁
Ive been at this point for almost 40 years lol
@@UltimateByte pretty much whenever im learning something new LMFAO
I like how Eric memes about his skill, when he's still one of the best drummers in the world.
But he plays DRUMS, not drums.

When you hit your balls while drumming:
Cool, finally found a piece of music i cant play as good as any drumner can't.
He's a beast, you're a beast. Good stuff.
This is great, so people can see how us drummers sit the F down to learn our sh1t. Nice work, dude.
Absolutely out freaking standing sir! You’re an inspiration and I am grateful for you!

Wow. Impressive. Well done. Super hard stuff.
Very well played dude!!! From a fellow drummer (one who usually plays by ear).
just how do u get drum sticks in ur ears ? lol, same here, ear drummer

HEY YOU MARCHED YOUR AGE OUT YEAR WITH MY OPEN CLASS DRUM CORP BRASS HEAD CAPTION!!
Watching the process was the most rewarding part(s) of the video!
Nicely done! Your vocally counting is also adding another level to this "bizarre" practice! 🥁
Take my like you piece of fantastic bloke!
I like the sound of it at 72bpm, it's like a rare groove breakdown.
Absolutely awesome!
Hell yeah man. Good job.
That approach is the only way to go!
105bpm, just sounded like a sweet spot. Felt that.
got my subscribe good sir. GG. Really hope El Estepario can see this, and create an even more impressive grove to try.
Seeing both your guys’ feet moving in unison is so funny to me. I like to imagine there’s no throne and you’re doing this goofy dance
🤣 Now I cannot unsee this
It's like a weird funny dance move, and they are doing it in sync.
Excellent! Top stuff!
Good work man. You picked that up pretty quickly. What a cool groove. Part B seems to be there to throw off drummers.
haha, this is so genuine and humbleY funny!! Love it!! Subscibing!!
