Just finished my Elspeth Campaign, way after I should have because of this unit. It's just so much fun. I had 3 and 2 regular. There was barely any need for the rest of the army 😎😜😅
I think the sole reason for the weird wording is just that it is a work around for what the tech should do: Increasing Elspeth's amethyst unit max. So instead giving her a buff we get a faction buff which only effects the leader.
5:05 - for stationary armies you always want 2 cannons and 2 hellblasters to stack speed decrease by 90%. Trust me, this makes the AI blob up like you've never seen. They will basically be stuck at hellblaster volley gun range and you can destroy them with aoe and sniping. But you need at least 4 artillery units for good crowd control. The AI can't kill you if they can't get to you
I've started running 5-6 artillery pieces.. the cannons and hell blaster volleys... The rockets just wreck shit before it even gets to my guns most of.the times
@@solidcobalt dude, I know. And here's the thing: when I start a battle, the enemy is already in range, BUT THEY LITERALLY STAND STILL. Idk why. But they wouldn't come forward. They just sit there and tank hellstorms and cannons until they lose half their army. Like, this artillery combo is STUPID strong. The only way to beat it is to immediately go into melee, which the AI just refuses to do. If I had to guess, being in range of ironsides, long rifles and hellblasters is not a part of their plan. So they don't advance, lol. Nuln Ironsides and Long Rifles are just too gangsta so the AI CHOOSES to die in the range of hellstorms and cannons😂😆
@@LoremasterLiberaster yeah I've noticed more often lately, when using multiple artillery and long range guns.. the ai like, gets really confused... And if they have reinforcements coming in they will just walk in circles getting blown up by artillery until they come in... By that points army losses isn't far behind. Sieges are just total cheese now 90% of the time I can just damage whatever units on are/inside the walls with my arty to where you don't have to even move other units lol
I wanted to as well, but he died in this campaign, what you might also want to do then is start a campaign with Karl Franz, get Elspeths, Malakais and Markhus traits on a master engineer and then load him into a Elspeth campaign to get it as strong as possible.
Each hero/lord is taken out of the recruit pool after 10 turns, but you can just recruit and then disband the ones you don't want until you get what you do want. Also don't forget to then save the character.
It would have probably been better to have less hellstorms and more gunners, but I wanted to see just how much mayhem 8 could cause and honestly I am happy with the results.
Once in my campaign i waste 15 turns just to roll up engineer with "hochland scopes" perk (to save for future campaign). Game just don't want to give me him). Same be with dawi and grungni perk

So amethyst rockets are now basically just better Luminarc of Hysh.

It's a good army but not a contender for Legends vids. needs to be refined and lose the RoR's.

Just replace all those rocket batteries with Ironsides, and you will have a proper doom stack :)

I said in the vide, Franz and Gelt had them when I confederated them, so I just transferred them to a single army.

u can open RPFM to look up Ammunition disappearance distance, for example dwarf shot gun is 100

I might try and Min/Max this method even further by trying to kill Zhatan the Black for his juicy defeat trait.

I love hochland scopes. I feel like i only get like 4 opportunities to recruit them per game. How many turns before the hero/lord pool re rolls over

Nah can't do it, I already tried to see what would happen and it just doesn't let you even shuffle the units around.
