    gotta mention the M420 S1 Z10 code after the G28 line in the printer settings to make sure the printer is reading the leveling mesh

    Love your videos!! I always watch while I crochet. So informative! I am interested in getting a 3D printer. A bit nervous. Can you make a tutorial on 3D printing for beginners? What I would need to purchase to get started?

    • @JeDoVi3D
      @JeDoVi3D  7 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for the comment Cynthia. If you have a tough technique like crocheting down, then 3D printing should be a breeze. I’ll definitely put a video out for beginners. Along with (in my opinion) one of the most user friendly, efficient and speedy printers

    Got mine the sprite, new heatbed, fresh motors, dual and belt driven z axis, linear rails on all axes, and Im using a pei buildplate. I even printed a 20mm extrusion for the linear rail of the y-axis to fit onto it. Im now thinking of taking the extruder apart to build my own hotend cooling shroud but yeah... maybe the sprite is good enough. Anyways: Benchy in 37 minutes. Prints on no-overhang with 210mm/s. Thats quite good for grandpa.
    Got the Bambu A1 recently- Benchy in 11min 47sec. 😮 Now, Im not gonna beat that, but its impressive to build them old ender printers up so that they are at about 1/3rd of high end printers these days speedwise.
    Yeah the upgrades ate expensive. Even more expensive than a new Bambulab A1, but I enjoy building stuff. 😅 3D printing is worse than heroine.

    For your next upgrade, look into Voron Switchwire, I'm currently in the middle of converting my CR-10, since I had already did a linear rail conversion a few years ago.

    • @JeDoVi3D
      @JeDoVi3D  7 месяцев назад

      Wow. That’s going to be awesome! It’s a bit bigger than the build plate size that comes with the Switchwire kit, right?

    Mate, love the video, but I'm not sure I agree that the upgrades are actually worth it. You could spend the same amount of cash and a quarter of the effort on a sovol sv07 to print benchys in 26 mins on a bigger build volume. I know this because I bought a sprite hot end and btt pi just before i heard about the sovols.

    Great video! Its a shame the double z axis kit of creality does not include the syncro belt. I'm having some issues with the x axis moving its leveling because a motor moves more than the other , its a minimal problem but you have to level the axis and the bed pretty often.

    • @JeDoVi3D
      @JeDoVi3D  6 месяцев назад +1

      I had the same issue. I had to replace the board with an updated 4.2.7 MCU. That synchronized the z stepper motors better

    • @JeDoVi3D
      @JeDoVi3D  7 месяцев назад

      I’ve only pushed the printing speeds to 175 mm/s, but my acceleration, deceleration and travel speeds are up to 6000 mm/s. I’ve completely a benchy in as little as 37 minutes. It ordered the 5015 part cooling kit to go faster, but ali express never sent it 😒

    any modern printer hardware at 50% speed does less than 30 lol, avg modern would be

    • @JeDoVi3D

      As long as it tapped the y and x limit switch, it homed the x and y axis. If it ends back up in the middle, that’s fine. It’s setting up for you to set the z-offset, and if you did that already, it’s preparing for manual bed leveling. And if you did that, it’s ready for you to start your print.
