Exactly Thomas....but I think it has more to do with the fact that they don't recognize the fact that it is Steve Perry hitting the note and not the instruments
If the famous song you refer to is Don’t Stop Believin’ then yes it is the same lead singer, Steve Perry. I recommend Open Arms, Separate Ways, Lovin’ Touchin Squeezin’.
Ummm, no he can't. He has very good range, but only about 3 octaves. He cannot sing deep bass or high soprano notes. 5 octaves would cover more than the entire basso profundo, bass, tenor, alto, and soprano ranges.

It is underrated I just heard it the other day and I totally forgot about it but I love all their music I can't pick a favorite because I love them all and I love his voice and I love him. Peace
Still They Ride is underrated just heard the other day and I so love it and was like yeah all the music's great I forgot about that one I don't know how
Love every single one of these but Lights should be the Lights/Stay Awhile version from Osaka live 1980 and I'd add Mother Father from the Houston Escape Tour 1981
Steve Perry, who is singing this song, sings most of their well known songs including Don't Stop Believing which is probably their most known popular song. Only true fans know Journey before Steve joined the band and Greg Rollie was their lead singer.
I like some of Journeys songs before Steve Perry but they just went to a whole new level once Steve Perry joined! They’re current singer is good but for me he is NO Steve Perry!!

This is off the album that put them on the map. I was insane for them back in the 70s, saw them live 6 times! His voice is supernatural and just about any song by them is great :). 🇸🇪
My favorite Journey songs Any Way You Want It 1980, Chain Reaction 1983, Dead or Alive 1981, Dixie Highway 1981, Escape 1981, Just the Same Way 1979, Lay it Down 1981, Line of Fire 1980 (must do live version of this one) Of A Lifetime 1975, Separate Ways 1983, Stay Awhile 1980, Still They Ride 1981, Stone in Love 1981, The Party's Over 1981, Walk Like a Lady (bluesy) 1980
Steve Perry has had the nickname The Voice for decades. He even got a line in the We Are the World video 😄😄 He is amazing. Journey has so many great songs and I think this was the first one I remember hearing
Had a drummer vocalist Dean Castronovo for awhile, who was immensely talented and did a great job holding up Steve's vocal parts. The band dumped him, however, for either drugs or domestic violence. Arnel Pineda is good! But not as good as either Steve Perry or Dean Castronovo.
"New" is a misnomer as he's been with them since 2007 (14 years). I get it - my mind said the same thing and then I really thought about it. Yeeeah, not really "new". And if push comes to shove, Arnel has been with Journey longer than Steve...by a lot. Yes, Steve has been and always will be synonymous with Journey, but don't cut Arnel out just because he isn't Steve. Kid has talent, too.
That is the same singer Steve Perry Bruh in this video you have pure “Greatness” On the Keyboards is Greg Rollie, On Lead Guitar is Neal Schon Both were original members of the Legendary “Santana” They formed Journey and Steve Perry known as “The Cleanest Pipes in the Business” They had “Numerous Hits!” Not One Lol Fun Song “Stone in Love” Beautiful Song “ Send Her My Love” On Santana with the 2 Journey members playing, Song - Black Magic Woman You won’t be disappointed in that at all! It’s Groovylicious 🎵😊✌️
*Steve Perry* also know as the voice a nickname given to him from *John Bon Jovi.* This song was written by their first commercial singer *Robert Fleischman, Neal Schon and Diana Valory.* Later *Steve Perry* stepped in and the rest is history. I have to mention on a side note that he is one of my favorite vocalist of all time and I was lucky enough to meet him. It was 1994 he just released his second solo album *For The Love of Strange Medicine* and he was doing a meet and greet at National Record Mart warehouse in Pittsburgh. He played some songs we listened, got to relax and get some autographs. So when I approached him for a autograph I was tongue tied and he looked at me and said "Hey man relax let's get a sandwich, what would you like." After that I realized from him being humble towards his fans and people in general, that I didn't need to be starstruck with any one famous. Meeting other famous people after him I realized hey there just doing their job like anyone else. Now onto some of *Journey's* catalogue that you should check out......*Anyway You Want It, Just The Same Way, Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', Who's Crying Now, Open Arms, Stone In Love, Faithfully, Send Her My Love, The Girl Can't Help It and I'll Be Alright Without You* just to name a few. Another I almost forgot to mention *Neal Schon* ( the guitar player with the Afro) and *Gregg Rolie* (the piano and keyboard player) both were in the group *Santa, Neal Schon* was only 15 years old when he joined that band. Love Peace and Happiness Y'all !!
This is my all time favorite Journey tune and apparently I’m not alone. This one and Lights were two of the most requested and downloaded hits of all time. What amazes me is I’m a second soprano but when Steve Perry goes into his upper register while accompanying the guitarist, mhe holds those 3 notes for 8 full bars. That’s unheard of even in my training in opera.
That is Steve Perry, and everyone that heard him for the first time, has the same reaction. That voice was a gift from God. Rush's Gede Lee is the same way.
One of my all time favorite songs is “Faithfully”. Steve Perry was called The Voice for a reason. And the guitarist, Neal Schon, is one of the more tasteful guitarist out there. Whatever he plays it fits the song. He can really shred, too, but I’m more interested in players like him that play for the song.
So many songs that you are hearing on this journey are everywhere... commercials, sporting events, movie soundtracks... you will notice them now that you've heard them. When you're in the grocery store or doctors office... now you'll know the background music!!! LOL

This is my second favorite Journey song. My favorite is “Lights” from the same album. I love the line “the morning sun is rising, it’s kissing the day”.
Steve Perry, the lead singer, was also known as 'the Voice', because he sounded live just like he did in the studio. Some great songs to check out are - "Lights", "Stone In Love", "Any Way You Want It", "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" and "Feelin' That Way/Anytime". 👍
Journey -- The lead singer is Steve Perry probably the second best rock vocalist next to Freddy Mercury. If you like piano, check out Faithfully by Journey
Journey (Escape Tour live in Houston - 1981) - Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’, Stone in Love, Who’s Crying Now. Great performance at this concert!!!!!! Check it out! Thanks for the memories and keep great music alive, Jay. ☮️🖤🤟
Journey with Steve Perry "The Voice" are amazing. You will be blown away by these musicians but mostly by Steve Perry's vocal range. Neal Schon on guitar omg! Steve Perry, Jonathan Cain and Neal wrote all their songs! Listen to "Still They Ride", "Mother Father", "when you love a woman" "Faithfully". Try the live from Houston version of Don't Stop Believin' , that whole concert album is perfection. Journey fans will say they sound just as great if not better live!
Yes Rob, Steve Perry was one of the greatest of all time. If you wanna see another vocal masterpiece, check out: QUEENSRYCHE, Take Hold of the Flame (Live in Tokyo). Enjoy your voyage into the past. 🤗🙌🥃
known affectionately among his peers as 'The Voice' Steve Perry really was the voice of his age....and several of the band Journey were previously in Santana, including the guitarist with the hair!
No one sings like Steve Perry...the voice...my sister's favorite band...you have to listen to Faithfully, Send Her My love, the live version of I'll Be Alright Without You...and Steve Perry's Oh, Sherrie....and of course, Don't Stop Believin'...and so Many More....by the way this was the first song we ever heard by Journey...it was a musical special on PBS many years ago...
So many Journey songs came out when I was a teenager and I never would've thought in a million years that 'Don't Stop Believin' would be the one they'd be remembered for! It was fun and okay, but not anywhere close to their mega hits like 'Wheel In The Sky' and 'Lovin Touchin Squeezin'. So, yep, you got it right. Can U two react to 'Lovin Touchin Squeezin' by them? So fun!! Also, my son was born in 1993 and when he was a teenager he got into so much classic rock from the 70's and early 80's. He listened to current stuff too, but he loved rocking out to the song, 'Any Way You Want It' because the lyrics have a hidden sexual tone, lol.
Steve is called the voice for a reason, one of the best bands out there.
Perfect vocals and pre-autotune times.
Amen!
It chaps me that so many reactors don’t acknowledge how Steve hits the high notes in the guitar solo!!!
exactly !!!
how about what Steve does in Something To Hide? 😮😮💣
So many times he soars in their songs...the end of Mother Father is a prime example.
See 8:00 in. He acknowledged it!
Exactly Thomas....but I think it has more to do with the fact that they don't recognize the fact that it is Steve Perry hitting the note and not the instruments
Nobody sings like Steve Perry. Some of my favorite songs. Only the Young, Faithfully, and Send her my love, Many many more.
Stone In Love.

Steve is the VOICE of rock. There’s no one like him. Vocal perfection. Emotional.
One of the best bands FORMED in the 1970s
Some of their songs,Who’s crying now, Open arm’s, Separate ways
Separate ways is my favorite one from them.
Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) is a MUST REACT VIDEO!

Who here old enough to remember the Journey arcade game?
Journey Escape, the video game, iirc.
Dam. I'm old.
Oh yeah played it at least twice a week. The arcade was a block from my house

Dude Steve can sing like 5 octaves 😆, no joke!! He's incredible.
Ummm, no he can't. He has very good range, but only about 3 octaves. He cannot sing deep bass or high soprano notes. 5 octaves would cover more than the entire basso profundo, bass, tenor, alto, and soprano ranges.
@@cjzito I was being sarcastic, I forgot we gotta be 100% accurate these days. In his younger days he was pretty amazing though
He can actually do 7 octaves and did almost 7 full bars in this one, higher and longer than most opera artists.

Steve Perry, better known as The Voice, enough said. Many many great hits by this band.
Steve Perry is the Voice. He was singing in whistle register before there was a Mariah Carey. Many songs from that era are still commercially used in snippets because they are so epic.
Steve was the greatest voice and I will never the heart break I felt when he bowed out.😊
