  • On this video I attempt to repair an acrylic (or lexan or polycarbonate or whatever...) guitar neck that's completely broken off. This guitar is a ChIbanez Jem 7V. It is all acyrlic including the neck.
I will be using Weld-On #4 adhesive to weld the break together and Weld-On #16 adhesive to gap fill and cement the break together.
The tricky part was to wire the broken neck LED wires together so they will work.
Part 1: Introduction, fixing the position marker LED wiring, welding/gluing the neck.

Part 2: Adding spline to strengthen repair area (totally unnecessary...), sanding the neck, rewiring the pickups (and completely screwing up), polishing the neck.

Part 3: Making the cheap Floyd Rose (Fine Tuner is NOT fine) better, shimming the neck, installing new pickups.

Part 4: Fret work (sunk fingerboard from too much sanding), review of the guitar parts, lighting up, broke neck again...(very fragile!!)...but my repaired areas held up.
