Isn't the keyboard better now. It doesn't need to be flatter, it just needs to work better than those dumb ass butterfly keys

Just bought mine yesterday. This keyboard feels great, what an improvement. Screen size is nice as well, dont mind the extra bulk at all.

Film editing! Has a few problems with heat but I found a few ways to keep it cool! Had my unit from new!

The reason Macbook Pro doesn’t have WiFi 6 is because WiFi 6 is not standard on 9th gen Intel CPU’s.

Hey there. Explained on some channels, going to 4k can be a bit pointless due to how the screen is naturally seen with eyes. Brighter and more vibrant may be a better improvement. Even at 16 inches, the display doesn't need to have more resolution- not to mention that it impacts battery. Overall good review, but I'd check in on your complaints with others!
A 4k panel could be a nice option to have at least, but still, the downsides are there!
I had a 4k laptop and it used to eat the batteries with 3-5 hours...definitely not a deal breaker when I made the jump to the MBP...I'm very happy with the battery life.
I wonder if HDR will make it exceptional?
@@alinalmasan5948 HDR certification would be nice, but then again it does have to meet certain standards. HDR can be a bit pointless at times, too.

It’s such a huge improvement from my previous 15” 2019. And all it takes is a new keyboard and better GPU. Yay from me!
I have 15" 2018 base model. Im graphic designer, motion designer and also I edit 4k video on it. Its great. And I LOVE butterfly keys cuz I never had a problem with it at all. Maybe I'll update in two or three years but for now Im happy af.

Well that happens when you choose a company that is well known, it doesnt need to be because of low securty but because there are a lot of hacker attacks
After seeing tons of those early MBP 16“ videos in the last months it was really worth it to wait for your review. Whilst the others look more like pure advertisements for free for Apple, I’d say yours is what you can call a review: very proficient content and fun to watch! Lucky you, to give back your £4000 15“ 2019 MBP some moth ago.
Regarding 4k display, I'm coming from a Dell precision 5510, and it had a 4k display. Its one of the most beautiful screens I've seen and the laptop body itself is brilliant. However, I had really poor battery life to the point that I pretty much had to be tethered to the power point. I bought the 16" MacBook Pro for the non 4k display and the battery (also because I needed it for iOS development).
I'm contemplating upgrading to the 16" from my Late 2013 15" MBP - also my fav device ever.
Just ordered one from a website that had a mistake in the price xD, got a base 16 for 1800 bucks

Last night I spilt cola on my 15'pro (2015). So I went on to yt and found many videos on what to do and most of them said it's unlikely that it would be recovered. They were right. I got it checked today by 2 apple authorised service centres and they told me it was dead. Either I spend almost 50% of the cost for a new 16 inch just to get this back (with its older config) on or I had to choose another one... With that, I feel this was a really good option in terms of spec upgrades for sure... Although I visit this channel quite often for reviews but somehow didn't check any for the 16 inch before buying it.... Now that I am, I am glad I not regretting this buy.... Thanks for the great work you do and keep it coming...

WiFi 6 is. Not in the new MacBook Pro because it comes built in with the 10th gen prosesser
They have 9th gen processors, not 10th gen (i7-9750H/i9-9880H/i9-9980HK)
I know the MacBook has 9th gen but apple is waiting until 10th gen comes out
Have you used your the 16in while it’s charging? It seems like there’s a noticeable vibration that I can feel when im typing or when my laptop is closed. Have you noticed that on yours?
Hey man, just want to clarify this, it is not dirt that cause the keyboard to fail but the metal dome cap giving out. There was a post on reddit about this: The guy tested the resistant to dirt of this keyboard and found out that the keyboard was pretty dirt resistant. Through his post and iFixt/CalPoly, we have found that they keyboard failure was because of the weak structure of the metal dome cap.
Apple thought it was dirt, that is why they put the membrane in -- keyboard still fails. Then the generation after, they change the material make up of the dome cap, and it seems to solve, or at least minimize, the issue.
I have a 15” MacBook Pro. It’s great. I should try using it as a toaster.

SAGAR SINGH RAJPOOT I remembered someone tried to fry an egg on it. I can get an external keyboard and put a slice of bread on the built in keyboard and play a game while my bread becomes toasted. Plus, I’m covered by the keyboard replacement program if I get any crumbs.

What would you say today? I can’t afford a new 16in 2022 MacBook Pro. But I can get a 2019 MacBook Pro 2019 on back market for $1,000. Would you recommend that? Is the 2019 a great computer? I currently have a 2012 mid MacBook Pro 15in. But it’s being phased out and now Ventura won’t be available on unsupported macs that are from 2012.

Im confused. What is the difference of buying a MBP 16inch with 5500M GPU than buying a 2019 16inch MBP 5500M GPU in Amazon? Is there really a difference coz what i know is only the 5600M upgrade. No more no less.

Apple doesn’t use 4K panels for battery saving reasons. And I as well as many others would argue that this display is more than sharp enough and you would gain marginal if any benefit from a 4K panel in a screen this size.

Playback speed 2.0 you'll thank me. So, in summary, it is basically a 4th gen with a keyboard that isn't faulty. It would be nice to see a comparison with the 17". There is one fault that rarely anyone mentions that has still not been solved and Apple continues to scr3w their loyal customers. The Audio issues with the T2 chips. Whenever I hear reviews of the MBP or any Apple device the only things the reviewers consider are how it is used by people working with photography and video but never audio. Why?

Hello there ZoneOfTech family! Even though I am new to the Apple world, I am already enjoying it with my Iphone 11 (my first Apple product). I am new to Apple and I just decided to move from Windows pc and I just bought a 2019 16’ Macbook pro. I am excited but also worry coming from windows all my life. My question is if I need an antivirus for my new MacBook Pro. Are there a real reliable antivirus for a MacBook Pro? Are they lightweight at all? I have always heard Macs never need an antivirus software, it will never happens, bla bla and more bla. I think that is not that true now. And that is why I am clueless and a little worry since I just bought my first Mac computer and it is going to arrive between 15 or 17 days from today. Please, can you give me a sincere advice about antivirus topic?
MacBooks occasionally get malware. Downloaded malwarebytes and you’ll be fine.
2012 was my favorite also, I just upgraded to MP 16! But still keeping the 12 for back up, even though I have the 27in iMac! lol

It would be a NAY for me. I actually reverted to a 2012 i7 15” with upgraded memory and SSD (sold my 2018 13”) to get back to a nicer keyboard old style and will wait the next generation and see how we go from here :)

Will you do a comparison between the MBP16" and the MBP 13" 10 Gen 2020? Or have you already? Stuck on deciding whether to get the 13" or the 16" or wait for the updated 16” display apparently not coming out until 4th quarter 2020. I really need one now but I'm not sure if the 16” might be too much. I need something for photo editing mostly.

coming from the 2017 4core maxed out macbook the new one (maxed out) would definitely make sense for professional music production, especially being one of the people that ALWAYS struggles with overheating cpu/gpu and throttling. the question is: will there 100% be a 10th gen cpu in 2020? and if yes how likely are even better thermals due to better cpu architecture? i definitely need an upgrade and i'm not sure if waiting until ANY 2020 release makes sense

I got lucky. I needed something more powerful than the garbage Windows OC I have for recording music, and doing some video editing. I got the 15, 15 inch MacBook Pro Retina upgraded. 1TB SSD, 16GB, and all those ports allow me to use udb c interface, or a firewire Studiolive mixer. So much better than Windows I had. Right now everyone is goo goo about the M1. Lets see if any issues arise?
Have you tried to plug in an external monitor??? The fans and noise will blow your hair back! As a 16" MBP owner and audio engineer, it's a huge disappointment and costly mistake ($3500). Oh, you can run Turbo Boost Switcher and TG Pro to "fix" it as long as you're 'ok' with a 30% drop in cpu performance. Yeah, I'm not a happy camper. I doubt I'll ever buy another Macbook Pro. Little to nothing "Pro" about them. Other than the fan noise with external monitors, it's great. For me, it's a deal breaker.
I hope, it will not lose its value as fast as the 15 Inch 2019 MacBook. Unbelievable how prices are dropping, especially the 2016-2019 generations.

Although I really like the information in your videos, I feel like you are constantly repeating information. For me as a viewer this feels like I've already watched this video. Furthermore I do not feel motivated to watch the whole 25 minutes just because 1/3 of the information was not even once mentioned in your previous videos.

Moazzam Mattu how do you like the keyboard? Don’t like it. It’s only slightly better than the butterfly mechanism for me. I do have an x 1 carbon which has the best keyboard.
What about macbook 16 popping sound ?
Vasile Campeanu one can eliminate this problem by switching the sound output to 48hz instead of the default 44 in the midi/audio application. Not excusing Apple over it but it does remove the issue. Can’t see any negative implications for doing so currently.

Basically my late 2018 full spec with Vega 20 ( pay 4000£ ) now it’s worth 2000£ , maybe less ..... and it’s a very bad machine running LR for pro needs. So disappointed cos I’ve macbook pro since 2010 and this one is something that apple should replace me ( I’ve been in touch with them but no chance ) . I’ll sell it, waiting for the new i pad pro to do shooting with client and get the new mac pro, which is a great investment over time ....
ps , with my current macbook pro i didn’t have any issue with the keyboard or weird crushing, but it’s always over heat and slow for what I’ve payed...4000£...

Am I the only one who doesn’t like the keyboard? Not that the butterfly keyboard is good, it’s bad. I guess I got spoiled by thinkpad keyboards, still the best keyboard out there.
ThinkPad definitely has the best keyboard in the industry... But, I believe that MacBook Pro 16 inch model has a pretty good keyboard...

The iPhone 8 and the iPad are great I like those both but that iPad Pro is garbage. When I bought that iPad Pro I thought about changing to someone else but it’s hard to do that when you have so much money invested in the iPad.

johnsondrummer exactly. And I don’t think it is actually louder, I have heard 16 inch MacBook Pro’s microphones in many other reviews. I don’t really know why they sounded less loud in this video.

2018 - 2019 Butterfly keyboards breaks? I'm not sure about the 2018 but I've never read / watched anything relating to the newer Butterfly keyboards breaking. Mind giving links?
Also oddly enough.. I don't know but, I feel that I type fast / faster on a Butterfly keyboard. The travel doesn't bother me (I use and own a mechanical keyboard). The Butterfly keyboard to me is just another "keyboard feel", if it wasn't plagued by the reliability issues (which I have not experienced so far) as many have "reported" I'd say it's a... keyboard, on another flavor.
