I like it when you say "in my eyes". I like all the little English bending you do. It's what makes us love your videos. We know what you mean, and it makes your video endearing and unique. ❤
Luise so thankful that you share your art, creativity and passion for what you do. I am a forever fan and always get so excited when you put out a new video. It’s like Christmas. Stay who are and shine. ❤❤❤❤❤
Luise, "in my eyes" is a totally normal English-language idiom. Who on earth told you otherwise? You don't need to apologize for it. (Signed, an American friend)
Whatever Grammar police told you that to say in my eyes is improper is wrong! It is fine to use that phrase. You do wonderful at your English and the fact that you take the time to do these videos in English so we can enjoy your work is very much appreciated. Love your makes!❤
❤ I do always take notes. The folio looks great. I do like the color variations you made and all of your ideas here. Take care, be safe. Happy creations to you.
Your English is perfect. Please do not let people ʻcorrectʻ you. Remember, the English spoken in Great Britain has many variations - and that area is small. The United States is vast and English varies from coast to coast and north to south. Now, think about Australia and New Zealand, sometimes those wonderful people seem to speak a different language. Pronunciation and word usage are variable, but we understand each other and the nicest among us do not correct others. Your slight accent and delightful voice add so much charm to your videos. Please do not let those who wish to correct you spoil who you are, you are a great teacher who is fluent in two languages, at least. Most Americans speak only English, so you have a great advantage.
Just want to say this: I am so grateful that you take the time to make videos in English. I know you don’t have to. I started watching your channel about a year ago and have never had an issue with your English. I enjoy your way of thinking/talking/teaching, your persistence and humor in all you do. There is an artist I used to follow because I admired her work, but she stopped making her videos in English and my enjoyment diminished so much , that I finally unsubscribed. So, I appreciate your efforts in trying to better your English, if it’s for your own fulfillment, but, “in my eyes”, and to my ears, there is no need. I appreciate you as you are.
So much inspiration and awesome techniques!!! I will have to watch this again and take notes. Thanks so much for sharing. You are an incredible artist! Tim Holtz is lucky to have you as a maker. 🤩🤩🤩🤎
I love EVERYTHING about this journal.🤩 So many new & unique techniques. Just gorgeous.💗 I think... No, I know... Scorched Timber is my new favorite color!😍 It's just the perfect worn, aged tone of greenish-gray brown. It's perfectly "vintage".😉 But one of my most favorite pieces is the circular "broken window".😱 The way you have it sewn in is just waaay too cool! I literally "gasped" with excitement when you flipped to the page. I love it.💗💗💗
I agree with all the others that "in my eyes" is perfectly acceptable to say. I have been watching you for awhile but your moving to Germany series has gotten me attached to you! I find myself smiling as I watch and listen - as I did through this vid! I love your techniques and how you clearly explain them. Thank you :))) You inspire me!!!
I agree with what Nancy said. It’s absolutely correct and common use of the phrase: “in my eyes.” Being fluent in 2 languages is a gift. You speak English very, very well and you have an expansive vocabulary. Good job! No apologies necessary. ❤
I’m absolutely in love with this project as I am with all your projects. I appreciate the duller verses brighter contrast and the way you used it. It was done perfectly. Keeps my eyes moving but not overwhelmed. Each page creates curiosity and anticipation. Well done! Thank you for sharing. Also please just be you. Your interpretation of the English language is as good as most English speaking people. I’m impressed with how well you speak English and your willingness to repeat what you have already done for German speaking people.
This is one of the most awesome makes I have seen. Please don't feel it's necessary to apologize for any of your English. You speak much better than half the Americans I know. As for your question about does anyone else hate a page one day and love it the next? I do. Sometimes I have to take a break from a page to see that it really wasn't bad at all.
I really like the muted colors with the vibrant color splotches. It feels like a junk journal and an art journal. It’s pleasing and fun. It’s a bit of whimsy. I love the corners you have done.
You are an incredibly and beautifully unique artist! Please stop apologizing for your speech! "In my eyes" is your unique signature expression and is perfect english. It is beloved! (There was no need for correction.) So carry on!❤
The color choices intensity and brightness are a welcome surprise In can just sit back and take the entire layout in “In my Eyes” it is a perfect juxtaposition, !

You did an amazing job on this project! You have such a good eye for colors and textures. In my eyes, you are such a wonderful artist! It's good to know that you second guess yourself as do I. Love your videos!❤
Your use of color is perfect. Seems like you tried really hard to get everything to coordinate. As an artist I just love applying bright colors. You handled it beautifully!
Funnily enough almost all the youtube journal creators are European, and if I need it closed captioning will translate. In my eyes, all of you are head and shoulders above. I need to watch this page by page over and over Fabulous ❤❤❤❤
I wouldn’t change a single thing! I absolutely love the way you talk and it is that and the amazing creativity you have that has always kept you my FAVORITE artist! ❤❤
Luise I love your folio and I get the connection of the softer and more intense colors. I love the colors. Definitely draws you in to explore further. And don't worry about your English as everyone has said, we know what you mean and how you speak is your genuine self. And we love ya just as you are.
I love that you say ‘in my eyes’ - I love listening to people from other places and listening to how they speak and how they tell their stories! Differences make us interesting and wonderful! You creations are absolutely amazing- you inspire me everyday! 🎉
I love this! I love where your brain goes in these artistic adventures! I enjoy the happy mistakes .. I make something and get frustrated, but when I go back am kind of amazed at it and am surprised that I made it! LOL Great share and defiantly gave some inspiration!
I personally love hearing you say “in my eyes”. I have started saying it in my conversations 😊 You are super inspirational, and highly intelligent. TFS, as always ❤
Luise, I got so many fabulous ideas from you working in this fantastic booklet folio. I can’t hardly wait for all the ideology goodies to arrive tomorrow! I’m so excited to play with mine and see how it all comes together. I’m hoping some fabric in my stash will work with the tissues I’ve collected. I love Tim’s fabric but I haven’t ordered any yet, so I’ll work with what I have and not pitch a fit. Figure, I could even stamp on the fabric to give it more interest or texture. Thanks for going through this piece in such detail. I do like the punch of color within the neutral pages. I’ll have to try my hand with making a glue gun seal and adding an image and color. Yours is marvelous. Thanks, Luise.
I love hearing you explain how you create each page and your thought process behind your decisions. It helps me to make decisions with my own pages. You are one of my remote craft buddies across the world. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
I enjoy watching your videos so much and they are so helpful! I am grateful for the time you put in and all your explanations. And , yes to any or all the tutorials you offered. I mist be having a senior moment remembering and will watch this certainly more than once. Thank you so much!
My point of view, in my mind, thru my eyes, in my eyes. Surely we understand that they all mean the same thing... English may not be your first language Luise, but I never have any trouble understanding you. Sending greetings from New Zealand
Your English is so good, never apologize for it. And the rew phrases that are not quite those of a native speaker are very charming. I really liked your vibrant pops of color both the turquoise and raspberry. They bring out the more muted colors. I can't wait to see what your "ah ha" moment was. Meg
Lovelovelove it.... ❤ I have bought the booklet folio and put it away for another time and now I can't find it anymore 🙄 I was just using the tape when you started explaining about it, love the vintage look of it. You have given me so much more ideas and inspiration, I thank you from the bottom of my ❤ 😊
Don’t worry about your English. It is great! We are such a diverse and multicultural country here with languages and idioms from all over the world. Plus just differences in speech that are regional almost a language unto themselves. Then of course the multiple Native American languages we have here. So, you should not worry. Your accent and way of speaking the English language are very very welcome with open arms and a big hug. There are many Americans who do not speak English at all sadly. So, you are perfect Doing great!

Or as Tim would say “You do You”. Please tune out the criticism….
I love the multiple shades of pink on the page with the neutral butterfly. It is a surprise but really visually appealing.

If I were to even try to learn your language, I'd never be as good as you are speaking English. This journal is phenomenal and fabulous. Love&hugs ❣ p.s. I looked online at the town of Ulm. What a cool looking town. Both old and new buildings. My husband wants me to caution you in your remodel. Make sure there is no asbestos. (asbest) I the floor or walls. Be careful 😊
